Lin Yi’s words attracted everyone’s attention.

Because many people had practiced this before, they knew what was going on. In this training, the person standing in front could not do much.

The person behind could move them with just a little effort. This was the law of physics, and there was nothing to dispute.

However, if the person standing at the back was too weak, it would be a different story.

And she, being the instructor of this trial training, couldn’t even take down a trainee. When a male trainee took his turn, he did it effortlessly, which only suggested one thing.

Instructor Gu’s strength seems to be lacking.

“Lin Yi, Zhang Peng!”

While everyone was discussing, Li Xianghui shouted.

“Here!”

“Get in line!”

“Yes!”

The two of them returned to the team. Gu Yiran stood beside Li Xianghui with a straight face. No one knew what she was thinking.

But there was no doubt that she wanted to kill Lin Yi.

“Next, group training.”

“Yes!”

Following the previous dormitory grouping, everyone started training in teams of two.

Li Xianghui and Gu Yiran supervised from the side.

“What happened just now? Why didn’t you move him?”

“He was fighting me!” Gu Yiran didn’t answer directly, but it was a tacit agreement.

“That’s a little strange. Not to mention him, even a 200-pound fatty can be easily brought down.”

“Forget it, don’t mention him anymore. Just thinking about it is annoying.” “This is training. You can’t bring your personal emotions into it,” Li Xianghui said.

“However, he’s indeed a little different from ordinary people. Do you think we should send him up to spar after the trial?”

“You mean the tournament in the fourth district?”

“That’s right.”

“Let’s just forget it, it’s a matter of pride, and even if you agree, Chief Liu wouldn’t.”

Traditionally, each of the various departments in Zhonghai held a martial competition every year.

However, this wasn’t an official event but rather spontaneously organized, serving as a leisure and entertainment activity.

Besides sending their most skilled subordinates, they also appointed one newcomer to participate in the competition.

But, for the sake of their own reputation, leaders from each division would never actually use newcomers. Instead, they selected skilled individuals who were new faces to avoid embarrassment.

“That’s true.” Li Xianghui smiled and said.

“However, this kid is quite interesting. This is already the third batch of trainees you are leading, but this is the first time you’ve encountered someone who made you so helpless.”

“Tsk, this is nothing. There are still a few days of training to go. There will be plenty of opportunities to deal with him!”

“That’s true. The combat grappling and live shooting later on require real techniques. His little tricks might not be useful there.”

Gu Yiran glanced at Lin Yi and said in her heart, “Just wait for tomorrow!” After more than an hour, Li Xianghui announced the end of the day’s training. Although everyone was sweating profusely from the training, in Li Xianghui’s view, the intensity wasn’t considered high.

Today was just about getting them accustomed to the training, and there were other tasks to be done later.

After gathering everyone, Li Xianghui summarized the day’s training session and then led everyone to the meeting room.

Everyone sat down one after another. Li Xianghui and Gu Yiran stood at the front desk.

“After an afternoon of training, I believe everyone has gained a certain understanding of each other. Now, let’s have a brief self-introduction from everyone. Then, 1 will choose a squad leader from among you to be responsible for maintaining discipline.”

The crowd looked at each other, whispering softly.

“Alright, there’s nothing to discuss,” Li Xianghui’s gaze swept over everyone, then he addressed the crowd.

“Is there any trainee who would like to volunteer?” Li Xianghui asked.

The female trainees didn’t react. They all knew that the squad leader wouldn’t be chosen from among the women, so they were relaxed.

“Instructor Li, let me do it!”

Zhou Xinghai was the first to raise his hand.

Zhang Peng glanced at him from the corner of his eye. “I knew this bootlicker would be the first to volunteer”

“Alright, come up here.” Li Xianghui stood to the side and gave up his seat.

At this moment, Zhou Xinghai became the focus of everyone’s attention.

Everyone’s eyes were focused on him.

“Hello, everyone. I’m Zhou Xinghai. I graduated from Zhonghai Police Academy and was the captain of the school’s basketball team. I’m also the president of the student union. I’ve participated in the police academy college students’ martial arts competition and achieved third place…”

Although Zhou Xinghai was a bootlicker, he was also skilled.

He spoke confidently in front of more than 40 people without any stage fright. He was indeed a class above the others.

“Alright, next,” Li Xianghui said.

After Zhou Xinghai left, no one else volunteered.

They all looked at each other. Some wanted to go up, but they were too embarrassed.

“If you guys don’t take the initiative to come up, I’ll call out the names.” Li Xianghui looked down. “Lin Yi, come out.”

Before he could finish his sentence, more than ten girls turned around in unison, anticipation written all over their faces.

After being called out by Li Xianghui, Lin Yi couldn’t refuse. He walked to the front of the stage openly.

With Lin Yi’s experience over the past few years, this was a small matter to him.

Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa!

As soon as Lin Yi stood on the podium, intense applause sounded from below.

It was as if he was going to hold a concert.

Li Xianghui looked at the girls below and shook his head helplessly. He really couldn’t do anything about them.

“Hello, everyone. My name is Lin Yi.”

He said a simple sentence. After saying that, Lin Yi walked down.

He ended this new self-introduction with ease and fluency.

The meeting room was silent as everyone looked at each other.

Although it was supposed to be a short self-introduction, it couldn’t be this short!

This was a little too much!

“You’re too simplistic.” Li Xianghui smiled and said,

“Be like Zhou Xinghai, say more.”

Although Zhou Xinghai was always competing for first place, Li Xianghui did not like this kind of person.

Ironically, it was Lin Yi’s non-competitive nature, coupled with his age being a few years older than the others, that made him particularly favored.

“Right, tell us more, we want to get to know you better,”

Zhang Zixin, who had held Lin Yi’s feet down earlier, spoke up.

“Get to know me better? How exactly do you want to ‘get to know me’?”

“Could you write your mobile number on the blackboard? We’re going to be colleagues, after all, so we should at least have a way to contact each other.” “Do we really need to do that? It feels like we’re freshmen starting college.” “It’s mainly for convenience,” Li Xianghui added.

“Even though we’ll be assigned to different posts eventually, we’re all from the same batch, so naturally, we’ll be closer. Exchanging phone numbers now will make it easier to help each other out in the future.”

“Okay.”

“Fine.”

Since Li Xianghui had already spoken, he had to give him some face.

Lin Yi returned to the stage and left his phone number on the blackboard. “Instructor Li, 1 forgot to leave my phone number earlier; I’d like to go write it down too,” Zhou Xinghai raised his hand and said.

“Okay, go ahead,” Li Xianghui nodded. “The next trainees to introduce themselves should do the same as Lin Yi, leave your phone numbers for easier contact.”

When he returned to the stage, Zhou Xinghai wrote his phone number on the blackboard.

Interestingly, Zhou Xinghai’s handwriting was very big.

It was five times bigger than Lin Yi’s, and the strokes were very heavy, afraid that others would not be able to see it clearly.

“If you encounter any difficulties in the future, you can call me. As long as it’s something I can help with, 1 won’t hesitate.”

Gu Yiran glanced at Zhou Xinghai. He was a smart guy.

“Zhou Xinghai, can 1 ask you for a favor now?” Zhang Zixin asked.

“You said that as long as you could help, you would.”

Zhou Xinghai patted his chest enthusiastically.

The fact that someone was asking for his help at this moment was a great sign. With the two instructors here, it would definitely leave a good impression on them!

When it came time for the task assignment, he would be able to stay in the police station and not be dispatched elsewhere.

“Could you trace over Lin Yi’s phone number a bit more heavily? I’m a bit nearsighted and can’t see it clearly..”
