I Can Devour Spirits

Chapter 104: Chapter 104: In the Brothel

”I originally followed Lei Ge and mixed in the government office, and still had a promising future. But with Lei Ge’s death, when Jie Head called me for questioning today, I felt that Jie Head didn’t quite like me anymore!” Yang Zhen muttered while gulping down liquor.

”What did Jie Head ask you?” Duan Rong’s eyes flashed and then he casually picked up a bowl of wine and asked.

”It’s just about the case.” Yang Zhen suddenly lowered his voice and said, ”Xiao Rong, did you know?”

Duan Rong finished a bowl of yellow wine, picked up a piece of pig head meat, stuffed it into his mouth and said, ”Know what?”

Yang Zhen’s eyes became strange and he said, ”Xu Ruhu was snatched from prison by Lei Ge!”

Duan Rong blinked and said, ”Is that so?”

”I’m telling you! Don’t not believe me! I didn’t believe it at first either! But this is the fact! Xu Ruhu died in Jie Lei’s home! The two of them died together in the underground pit of the dry well at home!”

”Died together?”

”Yes!”

”Could it be uneven distribution of loot, killing each other?” Duan Rong said while continuing to eat and drink.

”The specific reason is still unclear, I wasn’t at the crime scene!” Yang Zhen spoke out his concerns, seemingly feeling better, he picked up a piece of stewed chicken and chewed it, saying, ”Xiao Rong, you tell me! Lei Ge, why would he snatch Xu Ruhu out of the Great Prison?”

”Such things, who can say clearly.” Duan Rong burped and said indifferently.

”Sigh...” Yang Zhen took a deep breath and said, ”If only Jie Head hadn’t bumped into Xu Ruhu in the Brothel back then. Then none of this would have happened! Then I would still be following Lei Ge, maybe after a few years, I could lead a small team myself!”

Yang Zhen sighed and poured himself another bowl of wine.

Duan Rong smiled slightly, it seemed Jie Lei was usually nice to Yang Zhen, just then, a thought flashed in Duan Rong’s mind.

”Did Chief Constable Jie bump into Xu Ruhu in the Brothel back then?”

”Ah, yes.” Yang Zhen drank too aggressively, already somewhat drunk.

Duan Rong’s eyes shone brightly and asked, ”Which Brothel?”

”How many brothels are there in Xianggu County? Scarf Hat Lane!” Yang Zhen finished speaking, the alcohol surged, and he lay down on the table asleep.

Duan Rong sat there, finished the last sip of yellow wine at the bottom of the bowl, muttered to himself, ”Scarf Hat Lane, Brothel! Xu Ruhu, hope you don’t disappoint me!”

By this time, it was already night on the street, the hour when the lights were like stars, Duan Rong saw Yang Zhen asleep and got up on his own, leaving the courtyard.

He planned to take advantage of the night to visit the brothel!

The brothel in Scarf Hat Lane was a lane, different from Huaying Building, here it was purely the flesh trade!

A whore, like an inflatable boat for a night, could receive a dozen or more guests!

Purely stripped and done, pulling up the pants and leaving!

Jie Daohan came to such a place, instead of Huaying Building, not because he was poor, but probably had some kind of oddity in certain aspects, no wonder he remained unmarried all his life!

At this time, night had just begun, it was the bustling time for business, in Scarf Hat Lane, shadows occasionally moved, coming in and out!

Most are men grinding through life at the bottom of society, unable to get a wife, can only occasionally come to such a place to let off some steam.

Duan Rong turned into the alley, and entered one of the courtyards!

Unlike Huaying Building’s two-story wooden structure loft, here it was all residential houses!

With a few girls, the business could be set up, the cost was also low! Also considered a shady business!

The gate of the courtyard was open, only a black curtain hung, Duan Rong lifted the curtain and entered, seeing a thin middle-aged man sitting there, his face had a scar and eyes flashed with viciousness.

Duan Rong’s heart skipped a beat, this man exuded a bandit aura! Seems like those running flesh trade are not kind!

The thin man smiled when he saw Duan Rong entering and said, ”Guest, arrived early today!”

Duan Rong also smiled slightly, pretending to be polite here, as if I had come before?

”Which girl do you want?”

Duan Rong’s eyes flashed, and he said with a smile, ”The new one!”

The thin man smirked and said, ”The new girl is expensive, two taels!”

Duan Rong took out two taels of silver and placed them on the table side, the thin man pocketed the silver, shouted, ”Liu Hong, come out! There’s business!”

”Coming!” A coquettish feminine voice came from a side room.

Just as the voice fell, the curtain of the side room lifted, a brothel girl in a tight pink skirt twisted her waist and came out, she wore a double bun without any head ornaments, her big eyes kept flashing...

The girl who was called Liu Hong, smiled as she walked over and quickly entwined herself around Duan Rong’s arm, half-pulled and half-pushed him into the side room.

Liu Hong closed the door, poured a cup of tea from the table, and said, ”Guest have a sip of water, to soothe your throat!”

Duan Rong reached out for the tea cup, just as he sat down, Liu Hong immediately twisted her waist and sat on Duan Rong’s leg, her hands like water snakes moved around Duan Rong...

Duan Rong’s face changed instantly!

”Hold on! Hold on! You are Scarlet Child, you must remain pure!”

Duan Rong barely calmed the heat rising in his lower abdomen, grabbed Liu Hong’s hand, and squeezed it tightly!

”Guest be gentle, you’re hurting me!”

Duan Rong slightly relaxed a bit, and pushed Liu Hong’s two hands behind her back, asking, ”Recently with the case outside causing quite a stir, has your business been affected?”

”How could it not be affected? That night I was with a guest in the room, a group of government constables suddenly broke in...” Liu Hong said, her face turning red.

Duan Rong smiled slightly, continued asking, ”Seems like a guy named Xu Ruhu made the trouble?”

”Isn’t it? The posters are flying all over the streets! I’m telling you! This thief was caught in our Scarf Hat Lane! Imprisoned in the dungeon, to escape? He’s indeed got some skills!”

”Here in Scarf Hat Lane?”

”Yes.”

”Are you bluffing me? How could it be such a coincidence?”

”Why would I bluff you? It was in the courtyard next door, at that time, he stayed in Chun Mmei’s room for seven or eight days!” Liu Hong suddenly struggled a bit, but Duan Rong’s hand was like an iron clamp, how could she break free?

”Why are you pressing me? Let go of me?” Liu Hong said angrily.

”Why press you? I’ll still pin you down!” Duan Rong said and pressed Liu Hong onto the bed.

Liu Hong giggled.

Duan Rong quickly stripped off Liu Hong’s clothes.

”Come on!” Liu Hong urged with blurry eyes.

Duan Rong awkwardly said, ”I leaked!”

Liu Hong reached to grab under Duan Rong, but how could Duan Rong let her catch him, he dodged sideways and then said, ”Miss, I can’t do it, I’m leaving!”

Duan Rong finished speaking and quickly ran off!

Liu Hong put on her clothes, and when she chased outside, Duan Rong was nowhere to be seen.

The thin middle-aged man saw Liu Hong come out and asked, ”So soon?”

Liu Hong rolled her eyes at the doorway and said, ”Useless thing! Looks quite brawny, but the thing in his pants is like snot!”

The thin middle-aged man cackled, ”Wasn’t it good for you?”

”I’m pissed!” Liu Hong said, lifted the curtain and went back into the side room, ”Useless men, if you can’t, don’t find women!”

Duan Rong ran out of the courtyard gate, barely catching his breath, glanced dangerously back at the courtyard curtain behind him, saying, ”I am an old virgin for two lives, a rare rarity! How could I let you, a filthy brothel girl, have me?”
