“Have you done it intentionally?” In the arena, Lan Zi Yi stared at Lu Ye with a furious expression.

He had chosen her out of 100 people. There was no way he wasn’t intentional.

Lu Ye didn’t have the intention of explaining anything to her. He didn’t deliberately choose her, but it didn’t matter even if he was intentional.

He grabbed the hilt of his Inviolable Saber and got prepared for the fight. He seemed ready to charge forward the next moment.

“Don’t make a move. I’ll admit defeat.” Lan Zi Yi’s words frustrated Lu Ye and he hesitated to make a move.

Although he had defeated Lan Zi Yi once, he had relied on his Way of Spells. In the Fight for Supremacy, Lan Zi Yi said she would admit defeat before she even got into a fight. Lu Ye wasn’t certain if he should consider the woman tactful or discreet.

“Although I have no idea how I’ve offended you that makes you target me, I want to say that you can’t kill me, and it’s pointless for you to keep targeting me. Also, regarding what you said previously, I can’t…”

Before she could finish her words, Lu Ye dashed forward and left behind an afterimage with the help of Windwalk.

An incensed Lan Zi Yi yelled, “I admit defeat!”

The moment she disappeared, Lu Ye reached the spot where she had stood.

“Why did she spout so much nonsense when she was going to admit defeat anyway?”

Unbeknownst to him, besides Ying Wuji, there was now another person who didn’t want to see him again.

The competition between the top 100 people was intense, and every battle would last for a long time. According to the rules set by the Heavens, every cultivator had six hours to rest even if he was challenged.

In other words, even if the person accepted the challenge, he had six hours to recuperate and restore his energy.

This led to a long interval between two battles for Lu Ye. After defeating Lan Zi Yi, he waited for 12 hours before he found another opponent.

The battle ended quickly as he defeated the other party with ease.

It had to be said that the people in the top 100 were all brave people. Even though they knew they were facing Lu Ye, and even if their injuries hadn’t healed, no one rejected his challenge. Some people even took the initiative to challenge him.

They might not believe that Lu Ye was as powerful as described in the rumours. Perhaps they had confidence in themselves or they just didn’t want to miss the chance to fight Lu Ye. Anyway, these brilliant cultivators from the major Sects were traumatised after contending with Lu Ye, regardless of whether they were physically injured.

That was because the power Lu Ye had showcased was beyond them.

None of them were aware that it wasn’t Lu Ye’s limit. According to the rules set by the Heavens, he could let Amber join the battle. If their vitalities mingled with each other, his power would be enhanced.

Two days later, he finally completed all ten matches.

He returned to the Summit of Bamboos and focused on cultivating his power, forgetting about the passing of time. It wasn’t until he felt a vibration from his Battlefield Imprint that he came to his senses.

The third round of the Fight for Supremacy had ended. He took a look at his Battlefield Imprint and saw that the last piece of information at the bottom had changed.

Rankings of the Fight for Supremacy: First

In the first round of the Fight for Supremacy, 3,000 people would be selected out of countless cultivators. In the second round, 100 people would be picked from 3,000 cultivators.

Nevertheless, there were no rankings for these two rounds. Only after the third round ended would there be temporary rankings following the assessment of the battles between the 100 cultivators.

These 100 people were undoubtedly the brightest Cloud River Realm Masters in Jiu Zhou in the past five years. It could be said that all of them had the potential to make it to the Divine Ocean Realm. After the list was announced following the second round, it caught the attention of the Sects of different sizes in Jiu Zhou. Now that there were rankings, they were even more fervent.

Although the powerful cultivators from the major Sects already had some speculation, they still fell into a state of disbelief when they saw the name in the first spot.

Lu Yi Ye!

Even though he was only an Eighth-Order Cloud River Realm Master, he outshone all the cultivators in his generation in Jiu Zhou. It was unprecedented in the history of the Fight for Supremacy.

In the past, the first spot of the Fight for Supremacy was always a Ninth-Order Master. The difference of one Order was like the gap between Heaven and Earth.

Lu Ye could already win the first spot when he was only an Eighth-Order Master. It was hard to imagine how incredibly powerful he would be when he made it to the Ninth Order.

Following the Fight for Supremacy, the Heavens would grant Lu Ye rewards, which made him even closer to the Ninth Order.

No one could intervene in the rankings as the Heavens were in charge of it. Naturally, no one would doubt the impartiality of the Heavens. That was to say Lu Ye had earned the first spot with his power.

Fortunately, the others still had a chance as the rankings were only temporary. After the fourth round of the Fight for Supremacy, the rankings would be finalised.

Following the assessment of the victories in the third round and the cultivators’ performances in the previous rounds, the Heavens came up with temporary rankings. The rankings would only be finalised when the fourth round ended.

In the fourth round, the people in the top 100 had to challenge cultivators who were ranked above them, and if they won, they would replace those people.

There were only three chances, though. That was to say that they could only fail three times. If they failed all three challenges, there wouldn’t be a chance for them to advance further.

The rules for the Fight for Supremacy had always been the same over the generations. Therefore, some cultivators would hold back their powers in the first three rounds. They might even deliberately appear to be weaker. Only when it was the fourth round would they showcase all of their might.

The biggest difference between the fourth and the third rounds was that spectators were now allowed.

The cultivators in Jiu Zhou, irrespective of their cultivation, could watch the battles between the brightest cultivators as spectators by sinking their souls into the Fight for Supremacy through their exclusive Battlefield Imprints.

The older cultivators could witness the performances of their disciples and take note of their weaknesses so that they could give them some guidance in the future. At the same time, they could see the potential of the younger cultivators from other Sects.

On the other hand, the younger cultivators could watch the battles and gain some useful experiences. By looking at how powerful the cultivators were, they could identify their weaknesses and work on improving them.

Therefore, over the generations, countless cultivators would sink their souls into the Fight for Supremacy and watch every battle of the fourth round. The interesting battles would continue to be the talk between the cultivators for a long time.

Lu Ye left the Summit of Bamboos and headed to the Summit of Fortitude while going through the list of the top 100.

He saw many familiar names, but there were also those he didn’t know. The person directly below his name was Mu Qingyun.

A glint flashed across Lu Ye’s eyes. If his memory served him right, the Northern Profound Sword Master was surnamed Mu, so this Mu Qingyun was most likely a Sword Cultivator from the Northern Profound Sword Clan. He might even be the current Sword Son!

Nevertheless, Lu Ye had never heard of him before on the Cloud River Battlefield. He reckoned that Mu Qingyun must be someone who had deliberately abstained from ascending to the Real Lake Realm and stayed in the Cloud River Realm so that he could take part in the Fight for Supremacy.

People like them wouldn’t show up on the Cloud River Battlefield. They mostly stayed in Jiu Zhou. Therefore, even if he had made a name for himself a long time ago, people would forget about him as time passed.

At first glance, the people in the top ten seemed like they had appeared out of nowhere. However, just one to two years ago, many people were aware of who they were. It was just like the current Lu Ye.

Lan Zi Yi was in the eleventh spot. Although she had admitted defeat twice in front of Lu Ye, she was still very powerful. It was just that she was unlucky to be born in the same generation as Lu Ye.

Considering her power, Lu Ye reckoned that she could’ve made it to the top ten. Nonetheless, the victories and losses would affect the rankings. Since Lan Zi Yi had been defeated by Lu Ye twice, she was unable to make it to the top ten.

That said, if she was truly powerful, she could challenge other cultivators and improve her ranking.

Feng Rulie, who had revealed his Sect to Lu Ye, was ranked 15th. None of these people concerned Lu Ye, so he only took a brief glance at their names.

Soon, he found the name he wanted to see in the 36th spot. Ju Jia! The burly man had achieved a decent result.

In fact, he was weaker than Lu Ye as he was only in the Seventh Order. As such, his ranking was great as he was in the 36th spot. This meant that he was defeated fewer than three times in the previous battles.

A robust physique was immensely useful as he could just ignore the other party’s Secret Techniques or spells and just charge forward.

That said, Lu Ye was surprised that Ju Jia was ranked higher than Li Baxian and Feng Yuechan. He wondered how the Heavens made the judgement.

Soon, he found the names of Li Baxian and Feng Yuechan in the 42nd and 43rd spots. Their names were close to each other.

He stopped looking at the list because he only cared about the people closest to him.

As for the others, he reckoned that only a few of them could make it to the Real Lake Realm or even the Divine Ocean Realm in ten years.

Lu Ye wouldn’t even dare say that he could achieve a great height in ten years. As a cultivator grew in power, he might come across many accidents and disasters. There were countless incidents where the brilliant cultivators were killed before they became truly powerful.

The insane hostility between the two sides had killed the dreams of many cultivators.

Soon, Lu Ye arrived at the Sanctum of Providence and sat down cross-legged in front of the Divine Opportunity Column.

Since he was in the first place, he naturally didn’t have to challenge anyone. All he had to do was wait for other people to challenge him.

Fortunately, he had many things to do, including digesting the rewards from Hundred Wards Tower, reading the books he had borrowed from Lady Yun, and consuming some pills to cultivate. Therefore, he wasn’t bored even though he was just waiting there.

As time went by, there was still no vibration coming from the Battlefield Imprint.

He wasn’t surprised, though. According to the rules, the only people who had the right to challenge him were Mu Qingyun and Yang Yuan, who were in the second spot and the third spot respectively. They naturally didn’t lack the courage to challenge him. It was just that it wasn’t the right time yet.
