Naturally, nothing went wrong with the transaction. Lu Ye retrieved his Inviolable Saber while Master Yu got her Contribution points. Both parties were happy.

In front of the Divine Opportunity Column, Lu Ye examined the newly upgraded weapon.

The shape and length of the weapon didn’t change, but the blade had become darker. It was as if it could even absorb light.

He ran his fingers across every part of the blade. All the marks left behind from the countless battles were gone. It was as if the weapon was reborn.

It wasn’t sharper, though. The Inviolable Saber had never been sharp. Anyone who saw it for the first time would think it was hefty.

Holding the saber, he felt calm and steady. He seemed to have turned into an unwavering mountain with the weapon in his hand.

He infused his Spiritual Power into it and didn’t feel any obstruction. The blade vibrated, and the weapon felt like an extension of his body.

He felt the passing of his Spiritual Power and the enchantments within the weapon.

Originally, Inviolable Saber was only a High-Grade Spirit Artifact with 27 enchantments, but now, there were 72 enchantments. It could be considered one of the best Low-Grade Spell Artifacts.

The enchantments within were well-connected and complemented each other. There were no weaknesses at all. It went to show how skilful Master Yu was in the Way of Artification.

It was the first ever Spell Artifact that Lu Ye possessed.

The more complicated the enchantments within the Artifacts, the more powerful they were. But correspondingly, it would be more energy-consuming for the user.

Those below the Real Lake Realm wouldn’t use a Spell Artifact. It wasn’t that they couldn’t afford one.

The Vault of Providence was always there. As long as they had enough Contribution points, they could even buy a High-Grade Spell Artifact, let alone a Low-Grade one.

However, that didn’t mean they could use it as it was too energy-consuming. Those below the Real Lake Realm wouldn’t be able to sustain using a Spell Artifact for a long time.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, only Real Lake Realm Masters would use Spell Artifacts.

Theoretically, a Low-Grade Spell Artifact could accompany a Real Lake Realm Master for a long time.

Lu Ye was only an Eighth-Order Cloud River Realm Master, so it was taxing for him to activate a Spell Artifact as well. But compared with other cultivators, he could restore his energy more quickly. He even had a Spirit Storage Ring, so there wouldn’t be a problem.

Moreover, in the Cloud River Realm, he probably wouldn’t come across an opponent whom he would get into a prolonged fight with.

As long as he could defeat the other party quickly, it wouldn’t affect him much to use a Low-Grade Spell Artifact. In fact, he could even use a Top-Grade one.

After examining the Inviolable Saber, he was pleased that it had slightly exceeded his expectations. He put the weapon back into the sheath and decided to purchase a new weapon holder and Telekinetic Artifacts that were Spell Artifacts as well. T/N: I suggest using Telekinetic Artifact when it is an object.

His weapon holder and Telekinetic Artifacts were only in the Middle Grade, and they could no longer match his increase in power. He hadn’t purchased new Telekinetic Artifacts sooner because he no longer had to use them frequently as his power had increased tremendously.

To most cultivators, Telekinesis was a supplementary way to attack their enemies in the distance, but it wasn’t the main way.

After all, Combat Cultivators, Body-tempering Cultivators, and Ghost Cultivators needed to get close to their enemies to fully activate their powers.

Also, Lu Ye was well-versed in the Way of Spells, so he no longer needed Telekinesis.

He only decided to buy new ones just in case he might need them in the future.

Telekinetic Artifacts and weapon holders that were Spell Artifacts were expensive, each of them costing over 10,000 Contribution points. Lu Ye chose a weapon holder with three Telekinetic Artifacts and paid 30,000 Contribution points.

Now, he was only left with around 80,000 Contribution points.

He didn’t return to the Summit of Bamboos as he decided to sit down cross-legged in the Sanctum of Providence. He refined the weapon holder and Telekinetic Artifacts while cultivating and reading books.

He still loved looking into the Source of Soaring Dragon Boundary to take a peek at the lives of the prominent cultivators and absorb the essence of their cultivation, but he knew he couldn’t rush things through.

He still had a long road ahead of him, so he could take things slow.

Several days went by just like this.

When the Battlefield Imprint on the back of his hand vibrated, he knew the results of the second round of the Fight for Supremacy were ready.

He took a look and saw a new piece of information at the bottom.

The rankings of the Fight for Supremacy: Top 100

The rankings were not in any specific order, but as he sank his soul into it, he could see names he was familiar or unfamiliar with.

There were 100 names in total.

These people were in the top 100 of the Fight for Supremacy.

Any cultivator who had taken part in the Fight for Supremacy could take a look at the rankings through their Battlefield Imprint.

Lu Ye could see his own name as well as Feng Rulie, Lan Zi Yi, Li Baxian, Feng Yuechan, and Ju Jia.

It wasn’t surprising that Li Baxian and Feng Yuechan could make it to the top 100. After all, they had accumulated ample heritages when they were in the Spirit Creek Realm. In the Fox Immortal Valley, they and Lu Ye were granted the Divine Baptism, which further enhanced their heritages.

The only thing that set them back was their cultivation.

It could even be said that they didn’t come across the Fight for Supremacy at an opportune time.

If they were in the Eighth Order instead of the Seventh Order, Lu Ye believed they could make it to the top ten.

But now, he wasn’t certain if they could achieve that.

As for Ju Jia, despite being simple-minded, he was ridiculously gifted and strong. Lu Ye didn’t think anyone in the Cloud River Realm could pose a threat to him.

Even if the other party was well-versed in the Way of Spells or combat skills, Ju Jia could easily deal with them with his robust physique. In the past seven days, it had been difficult for his opponents to fight him.

That was because Ju Jia didn’t have any combat skills to speak of. He would only charge around and run after his opponent until the other party ran out of energy and was forced to admit defeat.

Lu Ye didn’t see Hua Ci’s name, and it was expected.

After all, she was still very weak. Her heritage wasn’t as ample as those of Li Baxian and Feng Yuechan, nor was she as gifted as Ju Jia. Although she was able to cast poison surreptitiously, an environment such as the arena would put her at a disadvantage. In the arena, she wasn’t able to fully activate her power.

There were countless talented Cloud River Realm Masters. Once she came across an opponent who could defeat her in a short time, she would have no choice but to admit defeat.

There were only five people in the entire Ameliorate Arcane Glade, and four of them were in the top 100, which was a stunning result.

Just like the first two rounds, the third and fourth rounds would last for seven days respectively.

Therefore, it would take roughly a month for the tournament to complete.

In the first and second rounds, the cultivators couldn’t choose their opponents as the Heavens would make the arrangements. It depended on their luck as to whom they would bump into upon arriving at the arena.

Certainly, the Heavens were impartial in their arrangements. Although the cultivators couldn’t decide their opponents, the Heavens would make reasonable arrangements.

But when it came to the third round, the cultivators had a chance to choose their opponents.

In the third round, every cultivator theoretically had to take part in ten matches. Their victories and performances, coupled with their results in the first two rounds, would be assessed, and the final rankings would be decided.

It was theoretical because a cultivator didn’t necessarily have to take part in all ten matches.

In the third round, every cultivator was required to challenge five different opponents, which was to say that he had to choose five opponents out of the top 100 to get into battles with.

Additionally, a cultivator could only passively accept five challenges. It was a rule to prevent some people from joining forces to target a particular person.

Certainly, if one was lucky, perhaps no one would challenge him in the entire third round. In that case, he only had to challenge five people, and the remaining five rounds would be considered victories.

Therefore, in the third round, a cultivator had to fight in five matches minimum and ten matches maximum.

The moment the top 100 list was ready, it signalled the start of the third round of the Fight for Supremacy.

It wasn’t that Lu Ye wanted to underestimate his opponents, but considering his current power and eyesight, he reckoned no one in the Cloud River Realm could pose a threat to him.

It made no difference to him to choose any opponent.

Just as he went through the list of names to choose a lucky cultivator, he suddenly felt a vibration from his Battlefield Imprint.

At the same time, he heard a hollow voice in his mind.

‘Ying Wuji has taken the initiative to challenge you!”

Lu Ye arched his brow, not expecting there would be someone who didn’t fear death.

As the voice sounded, a layer of ripple spread from the Divine Opportunity Column. Before Lu Ye could get prepared, he was sucked into the column.

His vision blurred, and when he came to his senses, he was already in a forest.

The venue for the first and second rounds was a place that looked like an arena. The space was large enough for cultivators of any faction to fully activate their powers. Once they were in the arena, they could see each other.

It was apparent that the third round was different.

Instead of an arena, he was now in a small space.

Furthermore, the space was chosen by the challenger. That way, the challenger could fully use it to his advantage by deciding the kind of place that could amplify his power.

Lu Ye had learned about the rules of the Fight for Supremacy, so he wasn’t surprised.

The forest was dark, and the grass and leaves swayed with the wind. A murderous intent was hidden in the darkness.

Lu Ye could feel that there was a Ward around this forest.

To prove his speculation, he tried to shoot upwards, but when he was nine metres above the ground, he couldn’t fly higher. It was as if he was pressured by a mountain.

It was the Aerial Lock Ward!

The challenger didn’t only have the right to choose a terrain that he could use to his advantage, but he could also build some Wards. Certainly, the Wards covered the entire place, so both parties would be affected.

Considering the environment and the existence of an Aerial Lock Ward, Lu Ye instantly realised that the challenger was a Ghost Cultivator.

The dense and dark forest was the perfect place for a Ghost Cultivator to hide himself and his murderous intent. The Aerial Lock Ward was to prevent the opponent from fleeing.

[Ying Wuji…] The name rang a bell. Lu Ye felt that he might have heard of the name before.

Anyway, those who could make it to the top 100 were mostly core disciples from the major Sects. Those people had mostly made a name for themselves on the Cloud River Battlefield, so it was only natural that Lu Ye might have heard of them before.
