God's Imitator

”Internal strife?” Li Renshu was somewhat surprised.

Yang Yuting nodded, ”That’s right. After we left the chip exchange area, we also started discussing strategy.

”But very quickly, Brother Wang and Uncle Ding got into an argument.

”Because Brother Wang disagreed with our plan. He didn’t want to gamble with people from other communities, he just wanted to go back and continue studying the chip exchange machine.

”Of course, I don’t think this was a matter of who was right or wrong. Both of their ideas made sense.

”Uncle Ding objected mainly because he felt the automatic exchange machine had no chance of winning and was very dangerous.

”Most importantly, if Brother Wang didn’t come, then we would become three against four at the multiplayer gambling table against Community 1, which meant the three of us would bear additional risk.

”It would be fine if the other side didn’t change their minds, but once they did, with one person fewer, our situation would become particularly passive.”

Jiang He’s ears turned a bit red as she listened.

She had originally thought her strategy was genius and perfect, but now it seemed this was just a strategy everyone could think of.And she had stepped into every possible pitfall.

Of course, from everyone’s descriptions, players from different communities had varying skill levels and different attitudes.

Some community players were very friendly and could cooperate smoothly, while others had obvious malicious intent.

Jiang He was relatively unlucky, encountering an opponent like Lu Xinyi right from the start.

Fu Chen looked curiously toward Wang Yongxin, ”Brother Wang, why were you so determined to gamble with the chip exchange machine?

”Did you discover some clue in advance?”

Wang Yongxin shrugged, ”Not really. If I had discovered it early, wouldn’t I have told everyone else already?

”I just had an intuition that there must be some kind of loophole or special shortcut in this game. It couldn’t be that everyone would just mess around for so long and only earn twenty or thirty thousand chips.

”But the actual process of finding the specific loophole took a lot of time.”

After this discussion, everyone completely understood the situation with Wang Yongxin’s group.

Obviously, the reason Wang Yongxin was able to obtain as many as 200,000 chips was precisely because he didn’t participate in Xu Tong and the others’ plan.

He had stayed in the chip exchange area playing until the game ended, and didn’t share this secret with the other three people.

”So how exactly do you win 200,000 chips from the chip exchange machine?” Cai Zhiyuan still couldn’t quite understand.

Wang Yongxin silently took a sip of coffee, ”Very simple. The chip exchange machine never folds.”

Cai Zhiyuan was stunned, ”Ah?”

Immediately, he felt somewhat speechless and regretful.

Just this simple sentence, if he, or any somewhat intelligent person, could have known it earlier, the game’s outcome would have been vastly different.

Cai Zhiyuan instantly understood why Wang Yongxin was able to fleece 200,000 chips from the chip exchange machine.

Some people were still slow to catch on, ”Never folds... and then?”

Cai Zhiyuan sighed, ”Don’t you understand? Folding is actually a self-protection mechanism.

”When you have relatively small cards, you can protect yourself by folding and only lose one ante.

”If you can’t fold, then the opponent can raise without limit and eat up all your chips.

”Conversely, if we can fold but the chip exchange machine cannot fold, then when we get big hands we can decisively raise to maximize our profits.”

Fu Chen pondered for a moment and looked toward Lin Sizhi and Qin Yao, ”Lawyer Lin, did you also discover this?”

Lin Sizhi nodded, ”Yes, we discovered it by accident too.”

Qin Yao added, ”Our group’s situation was much more complicated. We almost came out with only 8,000 chips.

”Thanks to Lawyer Lin discovering the automatic exchange machine’s secret very early and telling us immediately, otherwise the three of us would have been finished.”

Su Xiucen also hurriedly praised, ”Little Lin is such a good child! He was a huge help.”

Fu Chen was stunned, ”Why would you only have 8,000 chips?”

Jiang He was silent for a moment, then said, ”Because we were set up by Community 3 in the same game.”

Everyone’s attention was immediately drawn over, and Qin Yao briefly introduced the cause and effect of the incident.

Of course, regarding the specific details behind the operations she and Lin Sizhi performed at the gambling table afterward, she wasn’t very clear either. At the time, she had completely cooperated according to Lin Sizhi’s eye signals and hints.

So for this part, she only briefly mentioned it in a few words.

Xu Tong stared with shocked eyes, ”Lawyer Lin, you’re amazing!

”Not only did you find the chip exchange machine’s loophole at the fastest speed, you also turned around and won all of Community 3’s chips, getting revenge for those of us who were cheated.

”Just listening to it makes my brain hurt. How did you think of it?”

Everyone looked over, and this feeling of being the center of attention made Lin Sizhi somewhat uncomfortable.

He shrugged and said frankly, ”It’s nothing. Qin Yao’s description is too exaggerated.

”My discovery of the chip exchange machine’s loophole actually had a lot of chance involved.

”It was because in the first round, I happened to get a big hand with a flush. Then I tentatively kept raising, and unexpectedly the chip exchange machine never folded.

”When I finally chose to show my cards with some anxiety, I discovered it only had a junk hand.

”That’s how I quickly realized this loophole.

”You could also say this was a low-probability event. If I had gotten junk cards and lost in the first hand, perhaps I wouldn’t have thought much about it.

”As for the gambling match with Community 3, that had even less technical content. Actually, I dared to gamble with them for just one reason: mine and Qin Yao’s chip pool crushed all four of them.

”I remember seeing a news story before: a very famous professional poker player, known for bluffing with small cards, won a lot of money.

”But once, he lost everything, because his opponent was a super-rich person.

”This super-rich person didn’t have any special skills, he just had a lot of money. Every time his hand cards were decent, he would definitely check what the professional player’s cards actually were.

”As a result, this professional player was beaten until his confidence was shattered. After his proud bluffing became ineffective, he became timid instead and lost more and more.

”This news story might not be true, but it revealed a simple truth: no matter how strategic gambling appears to be, it’s ultimately still gambling. When chips are equal, it’s about psychology and technique, but when you have enough chips, it completely returns to probability.

”I accidentally discovered the chip exchange machine’s secret and obtained an excessive amount of chips. That was the foundation of my confidence to gamble against Community 3.”

Qin Yao asked curiously, ”But what if you hadn’t gotten big cards in the seventh round?”

Lin Sizhi asked back, ”Then why don’t you ask what would have happened if I had gotten big cards earlier in the first six rounds?

”Big cards have big card winning methods, small cards have small card winning methods. As long as the chip pool is deep enough, probability will eventually be on your side.

”In the first six rounds, whether big cards or small cards, I would bet at least 4,000. That was because I needed to quickly exhaust the chips of the other two people in Community 3 besides Lu Xinyi and Lü Mingxuan, creating a two-on-two situation.

”Even if I had to lose thirty or forty thousand chips in the process, that would be acceptable to me.

”The real opportunity only needs to be seized once.

”Of course, if I was really that unlucky and all ten games had completely unplayable small cards, then I’d lose. Things at the gambling table aren’t 100% certain anyway. You should have that awareness before sitting down at the table.”

Everyone nodded, and some doubts in their minds were dispelled.

Originally, just looking at the game results, it was hard not to think Lin Sizhi was somewhat ”cunning and almost supernatural.”

But now hearing this explanation, it felt within the realm of understanding.

After exclamation and admiration, everyone fell into brief silence.

Obviously, most people hadn’t expected that such a seemingly simple game would produce three completely different gaming ecosystems among the three groups.

The final results were also vastly different.

Fu Chen clapped his hands lightly, ”Alright, the situations of the three groups are more or less clear. I think we should temporarily set aside those details and analyze this game from an overall perspective.

”The results of this game were indeed somewhat unexpected in certain aspects.”

Cai Zhiyuan had been deep in thought with his head down. Now he seemed to have figured out certain things and spoke up, ”I think I understand.

”Obviously, this game is different from ’Redemption Roulette’ and all the judgment games we’ve been able to look up before.

”Many people, including myself, precisely because we subconsciously applied the problem-solving approach from ’Redemption Roulette’ from the beginning, chose the wrong path from the start.”

Xu Tong was still somewhat slow to catch on, ”The problem-solving approach is different? How is it different?”

Cai Zhiyuan looked at Wang Yongxin, ”Brother Wang, you earned the most chips this time, you explain it.

”I think your understanding should be deeper than mine.”

Wang Yongxin looked around at everyone, then nodded somewhat proudly, ”Alright, then I’ll briefly share my thoughts.

”First, we need to figure out what exactly the game ’Blood Poker’ is trying to do.

”Everyone analyzed ’Redemption Roulette’. Its purpose is ’judgment.’ That is, targeting a guilty person to see whether they truly repent and reform from the heart. If they reform, they can survive; if they remain stubborn, they die miserably.

”So when encountering this type of ’judgment’ game, we should first think about how to protect ourselves, how to overcome human weaknesses, and find the safest escape method.

”But ’Blood Poker’ is completely different.

”Although it looks scary at first glance, it’s not a ’judgment’ game.

”Actually, we had hints about this before we entered the game.

”Does everyone remember?”

Everyone looked somewhat confused. Cao Haichuan spoke up at the right time, ”I remember. The large screen said at the time: the game’s objective is to ’complete the first allocation of visa time.’”
