God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 641: Chapter 638: More Than One Person

Seeing Bao Hongfei lying on the ground, his hand already reduced to shattered flesh, howling in a pool of blood, a group of foreigners instinctively retreated together.

Witnessing Xiao Tian’s extraordinary skills, Andrew comforted himself to calm down and carefully considered the upcoming strategy.

Indeed, Xiao Tian’s recent leap from a height and landing unscathed showcased abilities beyond ordinary people, but Andrew believed he could do the same.

The only issue was that Xiao Tian crippled Bao Hongfei’s hand in the blink of an eye after landing. Even for Andrew, achieving the same feat would take some effort.

From this, Andrew concluded that the opponent’s strength was a notch higher than his own. As for whether the strength displayed earlier was the baseline or the ceiling, he couldn’t discern at this point.

Xiao Tian, however, didn’t give him much time to think. After dealing with Bao Hongfei, he swiftly appeared in front of Andrew.

Sweat instantly beaded on Andrew’s forehead, forcing him to suppress the fear in his heart as he prepared to counter the opponent’s attack.

Andrew knew that if fear took hold before the fight started, his ability would be greatly reduced.

Defeat wasn’t terrifying; what was terrifying was being afraid before the battle even began, a lesson he had learned over many years!

Soon, the opponent’s fist came right at him. At the moment Xiao Tian punched, Andrew sensed the surge of True Qi released by the opponent, indeed stronger than his own, but not yet to the point where it was unbeatable!

Moreover, with his superior numbers, they weren’t afraid of losing the battle.

Understanding the opponent’s strength gave Andrew confidence, as he gathered all his True Qi into his hands and surrounded himself with a layer of Protective True Qi.

Obviously, Andrew dared not be careless, which had become a habit over the years. Even if the opponent was more powerful, or if dealing with ordinary people, he was meticulous and gave his all!

This cautious nature, however, had greatly benefited him, even outmatching those far stronger than him, who often fell to him due to carelessness.

Unfortunately, this time he faced Xiao Tian, a genius whose strength could not be judged by appearances!

At this moment, Andrew’s full-force attack appeared riddled with flaws in Xiao Tian’s eyes, easily broken by a casual move.

Just before they made contact, Xiao Tian’s fist suddenly relaxed, changing into a claw. His footwork shifted, forcefully altering his straight path to sidestep behind Andrew.

Without pause, he grabbed Andrew’s wrist with his left hand and twisted it backward while his right hand clawed at Andrew’s neck, exerting force with both hands.

A crisp sound of bones breaking echoed, and Andrew’s scream filled the surroundings. Then, he was lifted single-handedly by Xiao Tian, his legs dangling and struggling desperately, like a drowning man clutching at a straw!

Enduring intense pain, Andrew felt dizzy, not even having time to be shocked by Xiao Tian’s ability to subdue him with one move, causing severe injury.

The Protective True Qi he had prepared wasn’t even used, dispersing instantly when he was lifted, almost like decoration!

Seeing Andrew’s face turning black, his subordinates scattered like frightened birds at the moment of danger, realizing if Andrew was defeated with one move, they stood no chance!

Watching Andrew’s subordinate flee the fastest, already 200 meters away.

Xiao Tian couldn’t help but marvel at the foreigners’ decisiveness in making the right choice to minimize losses when realizing they were outmatched.

Casually tossing Andrew aside, Xiao Tian’s figure vanished on the spot, and moments later, the fleeing foreigners were like targets hit by a sniper, stopping dead and collapsing on the ground.

...

Seeing the scattered foreigners and the unconscious Bao Hongfei and Andrew, the Herbalist Elder opened his mouth wide in astonishment, taking a serious look at the seemingly harmless Xiao Tian.

After dealing with everyone, Xiao Tian signaled the elder to rest easy, while he and Lin Bingxuan, with Melinda, began to scour the battlefield.

”According to that elder, Isaac might not be the only one doing this kind of thing to rob medicine gatherers!” Lin Bingxuan said slowly, following behind Xiao Tian and accepting a herb he handed over.

Xiao Tian continued to work, handing a herb to Melinda, and asked: ”How so?”

Carrying a large pile of herbs, Lin Bingxuan and Melinda followed Xiao Tian’s steps, starting to recount their recent conversation with the Herbalist Elder.

The two took turns talking, occasionally supplementing each other, quickly giving Xiao Tian a general understanding. Hearing their account, even Xiao Tian couldn’t help but frown.

From their narrative, Xiao Tian learned that the herbalist elder was named Sun Bo, a retired veteran who had returned to his hometown after the war to inherit his father’s profession as a medicine gatherer.

According to Sun Bo, some strangers began appearing one after another from half a month ago, and the robbery of medicine gatherers started happening five days ago. Identified by some peers, most of these were foreigners.

As for Melinda’s earlier inquiry, Sun Bo gave an answer that was somewhat infuriating.

They had sent people out to make contact, only to be told by the medicine traders that there was no need to bother coming here, citing high costs as the root reason.

The initial cost was hiring people to gather the herbs, followed by buyer issues. Although the herbs were precious, most were not needed by ordinary people.

While Huaxia has a large population with a considerable number needing the herbs, the gap was still significant for the majority, not as practical as doing business with herbs needed by the public.

This saturated market, with high demand and low supply, was what those medicine traders loved the most.

In the end, the traders spoke the truth: since genuine and fake herbs cost the same, why should they spend extra money to procure genuine ones, increasing costs?!

This infuriating answer made everyone’s face darken.

As for why the foreigners were robbing, those who had been abroad understood well.

These precious herbs from Huaxia were scarce resources for foreigners.

With no supply, prices naturally skyrocketed. Under the temptation of huge profits, it wasn’t just individuals; even various forces were extremely envious!
