God-Level Special Forces Soldier

After a while, Yun He and Yun Mie finally snapped out of their joy, their faces flushed with excitement as they said, ”Boss, from now on, we will go through hell and high water for you, without hesitation!”

——

Xiao Tian and Melinda were also actively preparing, even though they were certain that the two major forces wouldn’t dare to send anyone, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

If everything goes smoothly, that would be ideal, but if something unexpected happens, they shouldn’t be too passive.

However, both of them are currently injured, and the probability of a full recovery in a short time is slim, so they have to use some external objects to compensate.

For example, Xiao Tian was boiling some herbs and then pouring the herbal soup into a pre-prepared medicine bottle, looking almost like a biochemical experiment!

This was a method Xiao Tian had no choice but to use, because if there were another way, he wouldn’t willingly do something so foolish that’s half the effort for double the results.

This brewed herbal soup is different from pills, as once cooled, the medicinal effect will drastically reduce, so Xiao Tian strained his mind to come up with several formulas that don’t care about heat or cold, and is currently implementing them.

On the other side, Melinda, who was far away but couldn’t help holding her nose, looked at Xiao Tian standing so close, completely unfazed, and couldn’t help but show an admiring look.

But when she saw the bottles of oddly colored herbal soup beside him, she shivered all over and focused on making her own concealed weapons.

...

”Why don’t you try it first?” Xiao Tian looked at the more than twenty bottles of various colors in front of him and tentatively asked Melinda beside him.

”You try it instead!” Melinda waved her hands repeatedly, indicating she couldn’t handle the work of a guinea pig.

Xiao Tian saw this and unwillingly persuaded, ”Don’t worry, although these medicines were just made according to my memory of the formulas, I promise, there won’t be any side effects, the worst that could happen is a little diarrhea.”

”Diarrhea won’t do either!” Melinda looked terrified and moved several steps away from the brightly colored bottles, showing a bit of displeasure: ”The very thought of that smell makes me nauseous, let alone drinking it!”

”But the problem is there’s really no one else to test the medicine.” Xiao Tian said helplessly, ”If I fall, can you finish this work?”

Melinda pondered for a while, hesitating between diarrhea and boiling medicine, both tasks seemed insurmountable to her!

Finally, Melinda made her choice: ”…I’d rather prepare the medicine for you!”

Seeing Melinda’s determination, Xiao Tian casually picked up a bottle, acting as if he were sacrificing himself heroically, and said, ”If the formula is fake and has any other effect, don’t worry about me, just run immediately!”

Melinda frowned and said irritably, ”Don’t say such unlucky things!” After speaking, she began to worry.

She recalled reading a novel before, where the male lead accidentally took some medicine, and then the female lead tried to save him, and they ended up…

Phooey! What am I daydreaming about?

Melinda quickly cleared her mind, while Xiao Tian swiftly opened the bottle cap and poured half the bottle into his mouth, then smacked his lips.

”You’re okay…” Melinda’s words stopped abruptly, and her heart which was filled with worry suddenly froze in shock due to Xiao Tian’s action!

Such bitter medicine, and he’s savoring it slowly?!

”Is it good?”

Melinda looked at Xiao Tian, who was frowning, and her expression involuntarily began to change, hesitantly asking.

Xiao Tian frowned and pondered for a long time: ”The taste seems a bit off, and I don’t feel anything!” Saying that, he drank the remaining half bottle in one gulp, closing his eyes to seriously feel the effects of the medicine.

A moment later, a rumbling sound erupted, and Xiao Tian’s eyes snapped open, his face rapidly changing, with some sweat starting to appear on his forehead.

”What’s wrong?” Melinda quickly stepped forward to support Xiao Tian and asked nervously.

Xiao Tian showed a painful expression and only after a while did he awkwardly ask, ”Do you have any paper? It seems the medicine’s effects haven’t kicked in, but the side effects are starting!”

Melinda was stunned, this side effect came way too fast!

...

”From now on, it’s up to you!” Xiao Tian’s face was somewhat pale as he weakly spoke.

Melinda looked at Xiao Tian’s condition, her fists clenched tightly, determined that this time she must succeed!

After taking over Xiao Tian’s work, Melinda felt a headache, unfamiliar names of herbs continually came from Xiao Tian’s mouth, along with strict quantity control.

Therefore, Melinda had to search for the required herbs under Xiao Tian’s guidance, then weigh them, put them into the pestle bowl to grind, and finally keep an eye on the heat, ensuring it’s neither too big nor too small.

Moreover, she had to endure the incessant unpleasant smell surrounding her, truly feeling as if she were being tortured like the brewing herbal soup.

But she also understood, Xiao Tian was doing this merely to increase the odds, so in times of crisis there would be additional resources to rely on.

Even in a face-off between masters, or just an ordinary fight, a slight advantage is enough for a complete turnaround, this Melinda understood well, so she could sympathize with Xiao Tian’s hard work!

At this time, Melinda was sweating profusely, busy by the fire pit, her actions seeming panicked and in disarray, far from Xiao Tian’s calm, confident demeanor!

Nearly an hour later, Melinda’s personally made first pot of herbal soup was finally complete, better than Xiao Tian’s expectations.

Originally, according to Xiao Tian’s prediction, Melinda as a novice would inevitably fail a few times to gain proficiency, but unexpectedly, she succeeded the first time!

Whether it’s his teaching or Melinda’s extraordinary talent is unclear.

But then again, the herbal soup was successfully brewed, whether it is effective or not is another matter, only tasting it will reveal true success.

Under Melinda’s worried and nervous gaze, Xiao Tian ingested half a bottle from the herbal soup bottle again, but this time the reaction was quicker and even more intense than before.

Because Melinda already heard the rumbling sound, she hurriedly handed the tissue to Xiao Tian.

After receiving it, Xiao Tian covered his stomach, quickly disappearing from sight, leaving Melinda with brows furrowed tightly, two consecutive results being the same, could it be…

...

When Xiao Tian returned, weak and faltering, Melinda quickly ran over to support him, then couldn’t help but voicing her doubt: ”Your formula… could it secretly be a laxative?”

Xiao Tian was suddenly stunned, then fell into deep thought, but after pondering, he didn’t find any omissions or errors, immediately denying this idea.

No way I remembered wrong!
