Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

The most serious drawback of the Divine Fetus Soul Nourishing Technique was that it required slicing off a piece of one’s soul to use as a seed and bury it inside another person’s body. A person’s soul is their very foundation; it is immensely important and incredibly fragile. Severing a piece not only causes intense pain but also leaves one’s soul incomplete, creating potential future dangers. However, if the soul-nurturing succeeded, one could later reclaim that piece, which would in turn make their entire soul even stronger. The success rate of the Divine Fetus Soul Nourishing Technique was extremely low; it could take more than a dozen attempts to succeed, and each attempt required a new piece of one’s soul.

This was a bold attempt, yet Su Han had no other choice. If he wanted to gain the greatest benefit, he needed to pay the corresponding price.

Let’s begin!

Looking at the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince before him, Su Han began to perform the Divine Fetus Soul Nourishing Technique. He closed his eyes, using his powerful Divine Sense to capture the form of his soul. Fortunately, his Divine Sense was strong enough to quickly locate his soul’s presence.

Sword of Divine Sense!

To obtain a piece of the soul, one had to sever it with a special Secret Technique, and Su Han’s Sword of Divine Sense was powerful enough for the task. His three souls and seven spirits condensed into a humanoid form. Su Han observed it for a long time before finally deciding to cut off the tip of its finger to use as the Soul Seed.

”AAAH!”

Although it was his own Sword of Divine Sense cutting his own soul, the pain was so unbearable that Su Han screamed in agony, wishing he could end it instantly. This suffering was more terrifying than Transcending Thunder Tribulation and more perilous than a battle to the death. It was unbearable without great resilience and willpower. Even Su Han was in so much pain that it felt as if he were dying over and over.

Eventually, the fingertip was severed, transforming into the Soul Seed. Su Han himself turned ghastly pale and became extremely weak, as if he had been struck by a severe illness. This pain was unimaginable for an ordinary person. Enduring it once was agonizing enough; Su Han felt that if he had to do it more than a dozen times, his Heart Spirit would collapse.

I hope this succeeds on the first try!

Su Han did not wish to experience the torment of having his soul sliced again. Besides, severing too many pieces of his soul would cause greater damage and leave more serious after-effects.

Go!

Wrapping the Soul Seed with his Divine Sense, Su Han carefully pushed it toward the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s brow, following the method of the Divine Fetus Soul Nourishing Technique. The process was perilous. It would not work even if the target was merely unconscious or on the brink of death, because their soul would still be complete. The Soul Seed was only a fragment, making the disparity between the two immense. However, the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s consciousness had completely dissipated. He was now like a walking corpse, and his soul had no intention of resisting. It was like a blank sheet of paper, allowing Su Han to paint on it as he pleased.

Finally, Su Han successfully planted the Soul Seed in the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s soul, where it slowly took root. The Soul Seed then began to draw upon the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s soul for nourishment, absorbing its power to strengthen itself.

SWISH!

The Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s eyes opened. They were no longer dull and lifeless; instead, they sparkled with vitality, as if he had come back to life. At that moment, Su Han had a strange sensation. In addition to controlling himself, he could now also control the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince, as if the prince were a puppet on strings. However, Su Han was capable of multitasking and could easily manipulate his Shore Flower Clone, so controlling the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince posed no difficulty. The only issue was that the Soul Seed had just been planted and was still adjusting.

Success on the first try! From now on, even if my Original Body dies, this Soul Seed can give birth to a new me!

Su Han smiled, feeling elated. The Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s consciousness had dissipated and offered no resistance, allowing him to succeed on his first attempt. It was truly a miracle. This Soul Seed was a piece of his own soul, nourished by the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s soul. It would grow strong like a tree and could eventually develop into a new, complete soul. If that happened, Su Han would essentially possess two souls. Even if one of his bodies were to die, he could still survive through the second soul.

This was the heaven-defying power of the Divine Fetus Soul Nourishing Technique. Of course, the technique also had drawbacks. For instance, both of Su Han’s souls were now incomplete, which would put him at a disadvantage against powerful soul-based techniques. Furthermore, the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s appearance and abilities would not change along with Su Han’s, and he could not merge their two bodies into one like he could with the Demonic Embryo Parasitism Technique. However, nothing in the world is perfect, and Su Han was very satisfied with this outcome.

Next, Su Han continued to circulate the Divine Fetus Soul Nourishing Technique, allowing his Soul Seed to become firmly rooted in the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince’s soul while simultaneously controlling the Crown Prince, turning him into his puppet.

「Three days later...」

Su Han had mastered control over the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince and embedded his Soul Seed deep within the prince’s soul. He was confident that not even the Flying Immortal Great Emperor could detect it.

It’s time to go out and face the Flying Immortal Great Emperor!

Four days had passed since he entered the Path Enlightenment Lake. Su Han knew he had to go out and deal with the Flying Immortal Great Emperor; if he waited for the Emperor to come in, he would lose the initiative.

WHOOSH!

Su Han broke through the limits of space and time, flying out from the Path Enlightenment Lake. The Flying Immortal Great Emperor stood with his hands clasped behind his back, in the same spot as before. Seeing the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince and Su Han emerge, a sharp light flashed in his eyes. Su Han felt an overwhelming Divine Sense sweep over him and the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince. Knowing the Flying Immortal Great Emperor was probing them, he held his breath and reined in his own Divine Sense.

The Flying Immortal Great Emperor did not scrutinize them closely, merely giving them a cursory glance. In his view, Su Han was no match for the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince, so he did not expect any mishaps with his plan.

Controlling the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince, Su Han had him take the initiative to bow and speak. ”Father, I have successfully turned him into a Demonic Embryo!” His mimicry was so perfect that the Flying Immortal Great Emperor saw no flaws.

”Hmm, you’ve done well,” the Flying Immortal Great Emperor nodded. He sensed a Demonic Nature from Su Han, which convinced him that the Demonic Embryo Parasitism Technique had succeeded. ”Nineteen’s innate talent and strength are both quite impressive. If I hadn’t already chosen you, I might have truly been reluctant to turn him into a Demonic Embryo.”

”However, the newly formed Demonic Embryo still needs careful refinement. I promised him three months of cultivation time. Take him back. Once the time is up, I will come and take him away.”

The three months of cultivation time was what he had announced publicly, so Su Han had to be allowed to leave. Furthermore, it was best for the main body and the Demonic Embryo to be separate. With limited resources, it was more effective for them to cultivate apart. They only needed to merge at the final moment.

”I shall remember!” Su Han replied, controlling the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince.

Then, under the watchful gaze of the Flying Immortal Great Emperor, the two re-entered the Path Enlightenment Lake, once again separated by time and space into two different worlds.

Back inside the Path Enlightenment Lake, Su Han let out a sigh of relief. I’ve finally passed this hurdle. The Flying Immortal Great Emperor didn’t notice anything unusual, which is the best possible outcome. Now, I can cultivate peacefully in the Path Enlightenment Lake!
