Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

”How can this be? The Second Prince was actually defeated by the Nineteenth Prince?”

The battle on the Golden Stone Platform drew the most attention, and when Su Han stepped onto it, countless gazes converged on him.

Su Han’s decision to strike the Second Prince first also caught many by surprise. They, like the Second Prince himself, had believed that the two princes should join forces against foreign adversaries. Contrary to their expectations, Su Han, who never forgot a grudge, chose to attack the Second Prince instead.

If it were only that, it would have been one thing. But the strength Su Han displayed was even more formidable than the Second Prince’s. Now, he had defeated him with a single sword strike, causing a huge uproar among the crowd.

The Nineteenth Prince had gained a notorious reputation in recent months. He proved his might at both the Mount Hua Swordsmanship Tournament and on his bloody path to the Imperial Capital. However, the Second Prince had been famous for far longer and was recognized as second only to the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince among all the princes. To compete with the three Demon Swordsmen in this Sword Dao Conference, he had even used a Secret Technique to forcibly enhance his Realm. This showed just how impressive his strength truly was.

However, even after forcibly ascending to the Ninth Layer of the Supreme Realm, the Second Prince was still no match for the Nineteenth Prince. This outcome left many spectators agape.

”The Nineteenth Prince is already arrogant and conceited. Now, with his fierce hatred of evil, he was the first to attack the Second Prince. It seems he’s convinced the Second Prince was behind the Nanyang City incident.”

Amid their shock, many also expressed understanding. This was in line with the Nineteenth Prince’s character; otherwise, he wouldn’t have carved a bloody path from Nanyang City all the way to the Haoran Sect. Still, with the princes fighting amongst themselves, the advantage would go to outsiders, which caused many to worry.

Meanwhile, the Flying Immortal Great Emperor observed the conflict between his two sons. Both the Second Prince and the Nineteenth Prince were undoubtedly exceptional talents, but when two tigers fight, one is sure to be injured. Yet, the Flying Immortal Great Emperor appeared calm, even watching with great interest. He showed no sign of anger, almost as if he was pleased with this outcome.

In his mind, no matter how monstrously talented the Second Prince or the Nineteenth Prince were, neither could compare to the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince. The Crown Prince was the one he needed to cultivate with all his might. The future of the Heavenly Sword Dynasty, and even his own, hinged on him alone. For the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince, he was willing to sacrifice everything.

On the Golden Stone Platform, the Second Prince quickly got to his feet. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, but his face was pale and his Aura fluctuated wildly; he had clearly sustained a significant injury. Gripping the Literary Holy Sword, he stared fixedly at Su Han, his eyes filled with disbelief and fury.

”How could you have gotten so strong in just three short months!”

The Second Prince was furious. Three months ago, the Nineteenth Prince had just barely broken through to the Supreme Realm. Yet, in these three months, he had soared to new heights. He had not only made a name for himself at the Mount Hua Swordsmanship Tournament but also elevated his strength to such an incredible level. It was simply unthinkable.

Even if he had been hiding his true strength before, it was impossible to improve so much. The only explanation was the baptism of Sword Intent on Mount Hua.

Could he have truly comprehended a trace of the Sword Intent of Ages? Or received a sliver of our ancestor’s legacy?

The Second Prince couldn’t help but think this. Su Han’s improvement was too rapid—so fast that before he could devise a way to suppress him, he discovered it was already too late.

”Impossible! I am the one chosen by fate! The slot for the Myriad Virtual Realm is mine!”

The Second Prince shook his head as his pupils gradually turned crimson, his Dao Heart now tinged with madness.

He was, in fact, the Flying Immortal Great Emperor’s eldest son. He had originally assumed the title of Crown Prince was his for the taking, but he never expected the then-Ninth Prince to emerge from nowhere, surpass him, and be named Crown Prince by the Flying Immortal Great Emperor. This had dealt him a substantial blow, severely shaking his Dao Heart. In the countless days and nights since, he had vented his madness. The incident had become a thorn deeply embedded in his heart, one he normally hid so well that others never noticed.

But now, Su Han’s strength had plunged a second thorn into his heart, inflicting an unprecedented pain.

I already have one younger brother, the Ninth, standing above me. And now even the Nineteenth wants to climb over my head? No! Unacceptable! I will not allow it! The Myriad Virtual Realm slot is mine! With this slot, I’ll finally have a chance to catch up to my ninth brother and maybe even a slim hope of taking back the position of Crown Prince. This is my only chance. No one can take it from me. I’ll kill anyone who tries!

At this thought, the Second Prince’s eyes turned completely crimson, as if filled with blood, and suffused with a crazed light. This madness stemmed from the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince and had been suppressed for a long time. Now, however, it was ignited by Su Han, causing the Second Prince’s murderous intent to erupt.

”Hmm?”

Su Han’s brows furrowed slightly. He sensed the change in the Second Prince’s Dao Heart, which surprised him, but he felt no fear.

Second Prince, today, you will die by my hand.

”Ninth brother, die!”

A roar filled with madness and killing intent burst from the Second Prince’s mouth, like the howl of a beast that would not rest until death.

WHOOSH!

The Literary Holy Sword glowed as the Second Prince channeled his full power into it. He activated the scholarly aura within, which transformed from elegant to ferocious, like an enraged scholar intent on executing a villain.

”Sword of the Kill Character!”

The Second Prince’s aura surged as his Sword Intent soared. Wielding the Literary Holy Sword, he used the blade like a brush, slashing out six beams of Sword Radiance that converged in mid-air to form the character for ”Kill.” This character pulsed with a frenzied killing intent, like an enraged lion ready to tear its enemy to shreds.

SWOOSH!

The ”Kill” character formed from Sword Radiance howled out, tearing through space as it charged toward Su Han with incomparable force. With this strike, the Second Prince held nothing back, his killing intent wild and seemingly unstoppable.

”Sun, Moon, and Stars Triple Forms: Piercing Star!”

Su Han did not retreat. Gripping the Soul Severing Sword, he once again executed the Piercing Star Sword Technique, unleashing a Slaughter Sword Intent even more potent than the Second Prince’s.

BOOM!

The two sword attacks collided in mid-air, exploding with a thunderous roar and annihilating each other. Yet, the Second Prince did not stop. After unleashing the Sword of the Kill Character, he leaped into the air and lunged toward Su Han.

”Heavenly Rank Low Level Martial Skill: Seven Kills Fatal Slash!”

The Literary Holy Sword swung again. This time, seven ”Kill” characters materialized, surrounding Su Han as they closed in for the kill.

”Sun, Moon, and Stars Triple Forms: Sun Annihilation!”

Su Han slashed his sword across the sky, tapping into the power of his Star Sky Domain to execute the Sun Annihilation Sword Technique.

The fierce clash of Sword Radiance resembled two colossal beasts locked in combat. The impact made heaven and earth thunder, space fracture, time tremble, and Sword Qi implode. The Second Prince attacked again and again in a frenzy, but Su Han met every assault head-on, refusing to yield.

This outcome frustrated the Second Prince, intensifying his madness. Finally, he could no longer restrain himself. He needed to end this battle quickly and eliminate the thorn that was Su Han.

”Nineteenth brother, die by my Forbidden Technique!”

The Second Prince let out a long howl and deployed a Forbidden Technique, intending to annihilate Su Han completely.
