Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

The Second Prince, the eldest son of the Flying Immortal Great Emperor and a prodigy second only to the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince, was a formidable cultivator at the Supreme Realm Ninth Layer.

However, today, he had met his end at the Swordsmanship Contest.

This outcome left everyone dumbstruck and utterly horrified.

For a moment, it was as if even the wind had stopped. Every gaze was fixed on the Second Prince’s corpse.

Decapitated, his blood stained the stone platform. The prince’s face was still a mask of intense bitterness and crazed killing intent, clear evidence that even in death, he did not believe he had done anything wrong.

Unfortunately for him, the moment he decided he wanted Su Han dead, his fate was sealed.

When facing his enemies, Su Han was never merciful or hesitant. If he said he would kill, he would kill, and he would do so without delay.

Now, the last name on his kill list had been erased. Su Han’s plan for revenge in the Imperial Capital was complete.

”Mr. Su won!”

On the ninetieth stone platform, Li Qingyue’s beautiful eyes shone as she leaped to her feet, beside herself with excitement.

Although she had believed Su Han would win, witnessing the victory firsthand still thrilled her beyond words.

Seeing Li Qingyue jumping for joy like a young girl, the Sword Cultivators she had previously defeated stared dumbfounded. This was a stark contrast to her former icy demeanor; the difference was simply too vast.

Li Qingyue, however, paid no mind to their stares, completely immersed in her own excitement and elation.

”How... how is this possible? He actually won!”

On the fifth silver stone platform, the Yun Jun Holy Maiden’s pupils shrank in utter shock. She had hoped Su Han and the Second Prince would destroy each other, never imagining an outcome like this.

This Nineteenth Prince is simply too powerful!

His cultivation is progressing too quickly. I am no match for him!

The Giant Que Saint Heir had also been watching the battle closely. Witnessing Su Han decisively slay the Second Prince, he was shaken to his core, feeling a profound sense of inferiority. The Su Han of today was even stronger than he had been at the Mount Hua Sword Conference three months ago. Even after his own three months of arduous training, his progress was nothing compared to Su Han’s. Furthermore, the sword strike, Severing River of Stars, had made him feel a lethal threat. He knew that even if he went all out, he likely couldn’t withstand it.

Impossible!

The Heartless Holy Son’s face turned pale with disbelief. He had just emerged into the world only to be defeated by Su Han at the Mount Hua Sword Conference, an event that left him with a deep mental scar. He had believed that three months of hard training would allow him to finally redeem himself. Now, however, he discovered that the gap between himself and Su Han had not only failed to shrink but had actually widened. The discovery brought back the familiar terror of his defeat at Mount Hua.

It wasn’t just the contestants on the Pyramid battlefield; countless onlookers throughout the Imperial Capital were also stunned. A brief, heavy silence was shattered by a deafening uproar.

”The Second Prince is dead! How is that possible? The Nineteenth Prince actually dared to kill the Second Prince in public! This is an outrageous act of rebellion!”

”The Nineteenth Prince is too strong! He even killed the Second Prince after he used a Forbidden Technique. It looks like he really can compete with the likes of the Demon Swordsman for first place.”

”The struggle between the princes is this brutal? It didn’t even stop for the Swordsmanship Contest. With the Second and Eighth Princes dead now, and the Third Prince last night... who knows what the Emperor is thinking, not even stepping in to stop this.”

The crowd was in a tumult, their thunderous discussions shaking the heavens and the earth.

So far, two princes and a princess had died, all at the hands of Su Han. Including the Third Prince who had perished the night before, the Imperial Family had lost four of its prodigies. These were exceptional talents who, had their lives not been cut short, would have certainly achieved Sainthood in the future.

This result shocked countless people, but what puzzled them even more was the Flying Immortal Great Emperor’s attitude. After all, these were his own children. How could he just stand by and watch his own children be killed? Everyone was baffled, completely unable to fathom the Emperor’s thoughts.

At that moment, the Flying Immortal Great Emperor was still observing the battle. Even when Su Han killed the Second Prince, his expression remained unchanged, as if the one who died was a total stranger.

With his power and status, no one would have objected if he had intervened, yet he did nothing. This not only demonstrated the importance he placed on the Swordsmanship Contest but also revealed the sheer scale of his machinations—grand enough to include the sacrifice of the Second Prince.

For the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince?

Su Han’s eyes narrowed as a certain person came to mind.

In the entire Heavenly Sword Dynasty, the most monstrous talent was the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince. None of the other princes or princesses could compare.

Since the Flying Immortal Great Emperor was willing to sacrifice even the Second Prince, it meant his scheme was either for the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince or for himself, with the former being far more likely.

The Heavenly Sword Crown Prince was always cultivating in the Myriad Virtual Realm, and the first-place prize for this Swordsmanship Contest was three months of training in that same realm. Su Han refused to believe there wasn’t a connection.

Even so, he had no intention of backing down. In this world, no great opportunity came without great risk. If he wanted to use the Myriad Virtual Realm to advance, he had to be willing to gamble. Su Han was already mentally prepared.

WHOOSH!

Su Han reached out, seizing the Second Prince’s Holy Sword and Storage Ring. As for the corpse, he kicked it off the Golden Stone Platform, letting it fall.

With the Second Prince’s death, his plan for revenge was complete. All that remained was to fight for first place.

HUM!

Just then, the space behind Su Han split open silently, like a giant mouth intending to swallow him whole.

From within the void, an incredibly condensed black Sword Radiance slashed out.

Before it struck, this black Sword Radiance was completely undetectable, as if it had been born from the void itself. The moment it appeared, it horrified heaven and earth. A frenzied, terrifying, and despairing aura erupted, like the Grim Reaper swinging his scythe to harvest Su Han’s life.

The black Sword Radiance shot out, swift as lightning, carrying with it a trace of the power of time to influence Su Han and ensure the strike would not miss.

The attack came without any warning and was far too fast. It was so fast that Su Han didn’t even have time to activate the Character Technique of Motion to dodge.

Moreover, everyone’s Heart Spirit was still fixed on the Second Prince’s death; no one had anticipated an ambush.

The attacker’s timing, the power of their swordsmanship, and the decisiveness of their killing intent were all of the highest caliber. It was clearly a single, lethal blow meant to end Su Han’s life.

”Great Luo Golden Body!”

It was too late for Su Han to dodge or block. He dared not publicly display his strongest defenses or the Great Accomplished Holy Body, so he had no choice but to activate his Great Luo Golden Body, using the Great Luo Golden Bone to withstand this deadly strike.

SCHLICK!

The black Sword Radiance fell. A huge wound appeared on his torso, over a meter long, stretching from his left shoulder to his right abdomen.

This one strike had nearly split Su Han in two.
