“The cultivation of Supreme Principles is strange and unpredictable… Each Supreme Principle is different. Your Spacetime Principle should be the same.” With a word of advice, Anzuiel’s voice echoed in Yu Zi Yu’s ears.

“Indeed.” Yu Zi Yu nodded slightly, expressing his agreement.

Others might not understand, but as someone who had already achieved Elementary Mastery in two Supreme Principles, he understood clearly.

Take, for example, the Supreme Principle of Infinity born by his Purple Dragon Form, even if he did not actively cultivate with it, the body would still continue to grow.

Rather than saying the Purple Dragon was cultivating the Supreme Principle of Infinity, it would be more accurate to say the Supreme Principle itself was guiding the Purple Dragon to grow stronger.

This only deepened Yu Zi Yu’s conviction in one idea, [Supreme Principles possess their own Will.]

If that was true, then the Spacetime Principle must also have a Will.

“If the Spacetime Principle really has a Will… then the most important thing for me right now is earning its recognition.” Softly chuckling, Yu Zi Yu channeled his Spiritual Energy.

Immediately, the Gears of Time floating around him started shifting.

*Clack, clack…* As gears turned and whirred, the entire Realm of Mist shook horrifically, as if time itself had come to a standstill.

However, it wasn’t the world that stopped. It was Yu Zi Yu’s personal flow of time that had come to a stop.

Going with the flow was speeding up the time, while going against the flow was slowing up the time.

And stopping, that was suspending one’s own time.

As for reversing time, that was not something a beginner like Yu Zi Yu could even touch.

Forget him, even among the myriad experts of time born in all the eras, those who could truly reverse time were so rare that you could count them across all of history.

It was something that defied natural law and order. Even with advance-level mastery of the Time Principle, reversing time was too difficult.

More than just difficult, it was weighed down by an overwhelming karmic burden, so much so that even entities as mighty as Eternals would not dare attempt it.

That said, Yu Zi Yu had heard of one Eternal who had reversed time to resurrect his Half-Step Eternal Wife.

Though he managed to bring her to life, the act had caused his cultivation to fall.

Why? Because reversing time wasn’t just about reversing the time of a specific area or a planet, but an entire era.

Such power…perhaps only beings on the level of the Lord of the Angel Clan or the First Daoist could possibly wield it.

“I’m really overthinking things.” With a self-deprecating smile, Yu Zi Yu sighed.

Now was not the time for such thoughts.

What mattered now… was understanding how to win the recognition of the Supreme Principle of Spacetime.

With that, Yu Zi Yu channeled his Spiritual Energy once more, this time invoking the Principle of Space.

*Boooom… Boooom…* Deafening rumbles shook Heaven and Earth.

Layer upon layer of space rippled outward like endless waves, as diamond-shaped crystal materialized in the void.

These diamonds were breathtakingly beautiful.

At a glance, they appeared to be something straight out of the dream.

However, these diamond-looking crystals could control the space of an entire continent.

With just sixteen of them, Yu Zi Yu could teleport an entire planet to another corner of the starry sky.

Such was the wonder of spatial power.

“If Time is a river that binds all life, forcing it to flow toward the end, then Space is a blank page. With a single fold, vast distances become mere inches… and with enough folds, entirely new dimensions can be woven…” In soft murmurs, Yu Zi Yu voiced his understanding of time and space.

Every civilization, every race, held different interpretations.

The Angel Clan, for instance, believed that Space was everywhere and everything.

It could be shaped, traversed, controlled.

However, Yu Zi Yu, shaped by Human culture, saw Space as a sheet of white paper, foldable, stackable, manipulable to its limits.

Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but smile to himself, knowing that his metaphor was imperfect.

However, he wasn’t too concerned about it.

He knew that his understanding of Time and Space was still in a rudimentary stage.

However, even this shallow comprehension meant his grasp of their power was continuing to deepen.

…

“Anzuiel, what are Time and Space in your eyes?” Suddenly, as if a thought had struck him, Yu Zi Yu turned curiously toward the nearby Anzuiel.

He truly wanted to know Anzuiel’s perspective.

And as he asked this, Yu Zi Yu assumed his Human Form, and extended his both hand toward Anzuiel, with a Gear of Time floating over one hand, and a Space Crystal floating in the other.

“Uh…” A moment of silence followed, and the usually composed Anzuiel unexpectedly fell into contemplation.

[What is Time? What is Space?]

“Time and Space… for me, well, it’s a concept you might not quite grasp. But I’ll do my best to explain,” Anzuiely stated frankly. “Time, to me, is endless and ever-forward. And Space, it’s boundless and everlasting.”

As his words entered Yu Zi Yu’s ears, a glimmer of light flashed in the depths of his eyes.

For reasons he couldn’t explain, those simple words stirred something deep within him.

Vaguely, he felt as if he had grasped something…

But the moment he tried to seize it, that flicker of enlightenment dissolved like a wisp of smoke, vanishing silently.

“This… this must be the path I must pursue.”

With a soft sigh, his Evolution Points began to decrease.

And if one paid close attention, they would notice Yu Zi Yu had entered that elusive and mysterious state once again: Enlightenment.

He had used the Evolution Points to trigger a state of enlightenment…

This was Yu Zi Yu’s method of seclusion.

Without enlightenment, even 10,000 years might not be enough to comprehend the Spacetime Principle.

Which was why… at such a critical moment, Evolution Points were far more reliable.

At this point, it should be brought to notice that over these past few decades, due to his Apostles and Yu Zi Yu’s repeated acts, he had accumulated a terrifying amount of Evolution Points: Over 800 billion.

It was quite a staggering number, representing the full extent of Yu Zi Yu’s Evolution Points reserves.

And this was his greatest confidence going into this secluded cultivation.

So long as enlightenment didn’t kill him, he would continue it to the bitter end.

Yu Zi Yu refused to believe that, even after spending such a mountain of points, he still wouldn’t be able to comprehend the Spacetime Principle.

As for the Principle Assimilation… that was the least of his worries.

With the Azure Dragon subtly guiding him, Yu Zi Yu’s chances of being assimilated were minimal. After all, the current Azure Dragon could draw upon the power of the Human Dao to resist the assimilation…

And that, without a doubt, was one of Yu Zi Yu’s trump cards against being assimilated.
