Osmanthus’ praises of Shea only deepened Yu Zi Yu’s curiosity.

Not only had Nine Tails praised her, even Osmanthus held her in high regard.

“’As long as it lives, even if it’s a God, I can kill it,’ huh?” A soft chuckle escaped Yu Zi Yu, as a plan began to form in Yu Zi Yu’s mind.

[Hmm… if that’s really the case, then… maybe she’s the answer for the Gods. Dealing with those bastards… their damn near-immortality is a real headache. Even now, only the Godslayer Clan… they were the only ones who could truly drive fear in them. As for everyone else… honestly? Unless you’ve got some serious sealing tricks up your sleeve, going up against a God is just asking for a world of pain. A complete and utter nightmare.]

At this thought, Yu Zi Yu began to seriously consider grooming Shea and the God-Devouring Rat, who had awakened the Godslayer Bloodline.

The Gods were on the verge of rising once more.

And Yu Zi Yu was also preparing to declare war on them.

[if these two kids are brought up right… really guided… then… then maybe… they could actually become… ultimate weapons. The kind that could… that could shake the God Race to its very foundation.]

Smiling to himself, Yu Zi Yu slowly lifted his gaze, because at that very moment, he sensed a sharp, unfamiliar presence rapidly approaching from afar.

“Your subordinate Shea, pays respect to the Divine Tree…”

Before the person arrived, a voice echoed from a distance.

Looking toward the source, what greeted Yu Zi Yu’s eyes was a tall, striking woman dressed in a black coat, long hair flowing to her waist, and eyes black as night. She looked quite valiant.

Her face was soft and refined, with a gentle, graceful beauty.

However, her black eyes… were so sharp they made one forget how to breathe.

Just meeting her gaze was enough to freeze one on the very spot momentarily.

This was Shea, now hailed as the strongest Tier-5 Transcendent, and also known as the First Generation Dragon Envoy.

The so-called Dragon Envoy referred to the Wishmakers from the Summon the Eternal Dragon event.

Shea was the first Wishmaker, hence the title First Generation Dragon Envoy.

Subsequent wishmakers would be known as the Second or Third Generation Dragon Envoys.

And as things currently stood, the Dragon Envoys were likely to become one of the most unique lineages of the Demon Court.

Though only time would tell.

For now, Yu Zi Yu narrowed his eyes slightly, as he scrutinized the young girl before him.

As Yu Zi Yu scrutinized the young woman before him, his eyes narrowed slightly.

Race: Human
Rank: Tier-5

Innate Talent:

Eyes of Death — Eyes that can peer straight into the essence of all things, revealing the boundary between life and death. Attacking along this boundary inflicts damage that cannot be defended against or healed.

Natal Artifact:

Twilight Blood — An indestructible weapon forged from Phoenix-Blood Purple Gold, one of the Nine Divine Metals. Each slash conjures a Phoenix whose cry echoes through the Heavens.

Unique Abilities:

Slash of Life and Death — Life and death, separated by a single stroke. Anything struck will be split into two.

Void Slash — Cuts through space itself, allowing movement akin to teleportation.

Severing Illusion — All things can be severed, even the intangible illusions. She’s able to sever the distracting thoughts, allowing the mind to be completely clear.

Severing Wounds — Cuts away personal injuries and negative effects.

Severing Fatigue — Able to cut away one’s own fatigue, rendering rest unnecessary.

Demonic Divine Technique —  Her killing technique both divine and demonic, a slaughter as beautiful as a painted dream.

As he quietly observed, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but have the corners of his eyes twitch.

There was no denying that Shea was a freak of nature.

She had pushed her Innate Talent to an absurd extreme.

She did not just stop at cutting enemies, she could also sever her own injuries, her fatigue, and even her thoughts.

Such development of talent was truly exceptional.

In fact, when Yu Zi Yu laid eyes on her, he sensed extreme purity and clarity from her.

She was utterly, frighteningly clean.

“Wow, you are quite amazing!” Yu Zi Yu remarked in a soft voice, not hiding his admiration.

“Uh…” A brief silence filled the air.

Only after a while did Shea slowly raise her head to properly behold the Divine Tree she had long yearned to meet.

*Boooom…* With a loud rumble, her pupils, beyond her control, transformed into colorful spirals.

Accompanying this transformation, countless dark lines, like cracks in reality, rushed into her vision all at once.

Too many.

Far too many.

So much that she couldn’t bear it all at once.

“Argh…” A stifled groan escaped Shea, as her eyes welled up with two streams of bloody tears.

“My physical body has undergone seven evolutions. It’s comparable to a complete Great World. Even your Eyes of Death cannot fully peer into me.”

“So you’re saying… even my Eyes of Death aren’t all-powerful, huh…”

At those words, Shea was momentarily stunned.

“There’s no such thing as omnipotence in this world. Your Eyes of Death are limited by the scope of your perception. Unless one day you are able to comprehend everything in existence… there will always be things you cannot sever.”

“That’s true.” Shea nodded in agreement.

After wandering the starry skies for years, she had already come to understand how terrifying the universe truly was.

While her Eyes of Death were indeed terrifying, in the vastness of space, there were plenty of beings who could stand on equal footing with her.

It was just that such beings remained hidden, rarely showing themselves to the world.

Take, for instance, the Seven Shadow Assassins of the Demon Court were all Tier-5, but any one of them could easily give her trouble.

Her fearsome reputation stemmed from her ability to sever all things.

But oftentimes, she lacked the opportunity to strike.

So, this so-called title of ‘Strongest Tier-5’ was likely just the result of deliberate praise from others.

Curling her lips slightly, Shea did not care much for such empty accolades. What she truly cared about was…

“Lord Divine Tree, could you tell me… what is the meaning of my existence?”

“The meaning of your existence?”

Smiling softly, Yu Zi Yu raised one finger and gently tapped her between the brows.

*Boooom…* In that instant, her mind shook violently.

And then, an overwhelming flood of information surged into her consciousness, a cascade of life unfolding: the silent growth of grass, the joyful song of warblers, the rhythmic flight of geese across the sky, wolves sprinting across endless plains, and the slow, inevitable turning of seasons, all merging into a single, ceaseless cycle, an endless reincarnation flowing through the river of time

And this… this was the world.

With just a single touch from the Divine Tree, she felt as if she had become the world itself, experiencing the rise and fall of all things.

“This so-called existence… is nothing more than a cycle. And you can’t change that. The only thing you can do… is to live well. To keep chasing… chasing strength, chasing eternity… until one day, you can finally break free from the shackles of reincarnation…”

As Yu Zi Yu’s calm voice echoed, even he found himself deeply moved.

Now that he gained the Tenth Realm, his insight had deepened.

And that insight applied just as well to the starry sky.

If the Tenth Realm was a cage that imprisoned countless lives… Then this vast cosmic expanse was nothing less than an even larger prison.

As for living…

What it meant for others, Yu Zi Yu had no idea, but for himself, it was about constantly becoming stronger, until one day he broke free from the shackles of the cage.

And that would be the true transcendence.
