Demon Hunter City was a city with a rich history.

Its towering black walls bore the scars of countless battles, stained with dark splashes of blood. The lofty gates were marred by deep cuts and slashes from axes and swords.

According to the memories of a Tier-3 Blood Demon, this city had been standing for over twenty years, enduring relentless wars.

After all, this was the Blood Demon Clan—a Clan known for its constant lust for battle. In the past two decades alone, they had faced hundreds of internal conflicts, seemingly fighting year after year.

Through this unending strife, they eventually erected seven main cities. And the Demon Hunter City before Yu Zi Yu was built by one of the most formidable forces in the Blood Demon Clan, renowned for their strength—the Demon Hunter Clan.

Now, with their Princess in captivity, the entire Demon Hunter Clan would likely be unable to kick any storm.

Amused, Yu Zi Yu cast his gaze towards the heart of Demon Hunter City.

In the next moment, he raised his Dragon Claw.

*Boom…* A terrifying suction erupted from the claw before four figures appeared in front of him.

“Where are we?”

“What’s happening?”

…

One shout followed another as they struggled to comprehend what was unfolding, including a powerful Tier-4 Blood Demon.

But a moment later, acting on instinct, the Tier-4 Blood Demon raised his eyes, whereupon his gaze met a colossal head, as vast as a planet, looming above. Its eyes, swirling with a cosmic brilliance, seemed to stare at him with amusement.

*Gulp…* Swallowing hard, the Tier-4 Blood Demon immediately dropped to his knees, trembling. “Your excellency… your excellency, I surrender! I surrender… I am willing to serve you…”

Tears streamed down his face as he groveled, abandoning all pride befitting a Tier-4.

This was partly due to Yu Zi Yu’s overwhelming power, but also because of the Blood Demons’ own deep-rooted belief in the ‘Demon Clan’s Code’: submission to the strong.

“If you are willing to serve me, then I have a task for you.” Yu Zi Yu’s amused voice echoed through the void, as the smirk on his face deepened.

“Yes, yes! Whatever your excellency commands, I will see it done…” The Tier-4 Blood Demon exhaled a breath of relief, feeling a glimmer of hope.

But in the next moment, his face froze, for just then, Yu Zi Yu’s voice, dripping with amusement, resounded, “Then, offer your life to me.”

Dropping these words, Yu Zi Yu lifted his gaze and looked towards a Massive Tree that had appeared in the depths of the void, paying no heed to the Blood Demons’ stunned expression.

Its gnarled branches stretched like claws, twisted and sinister. The tree’s bark, mottled gray and green, had a scale-like texture reminiscent of Dragon Scales.

This was the Tree of Miracles, also known as the Cursed Tree—an evil, malevolent tree of legend.

Of course, this was not Yu Zi Yu’s True Form.

The power of this ancient tree was far too dangerous; Yu Zi Yu would not risk corrupting his True Body.

Instead, he had used a single branch and root from himself to create this ancient tree. Moreover, he used the Heaven Slashing Flying Blade of the Radiant Galaxy to sever any residual connection.

In this way, even if something were to go awry, Yu Zi Yu’s True Form would remain untouched.

Though this was not his direct embodiment, its power was undiminished. Drawing strength from the Nine Realms, this Demonic Tree still possessed unparalleled might.

So, Yu Zi Yu waited… truly waited, curious about what marvels this tree might bring.

“Now, in the name of the Purple Dragon, I offer the Blood Demons’ four lives as a sacrifice…” A resonant murmur, like a vow, echoed faintly through the void.

In that instant, as if sensing something, the Demonic Tree in the distance halted abruptly.

Then, almost by instinct…

*Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…* With a succession of sharp swishing sounds, several branches shot out like serpents, swiftly striking the four Blood Demons.

“Ah!”

“No, don’t…!”

Their sudden screams met only with the spasms of their bodies.

Looking closer, one could see the branches darkening to a deep crimson as they pulsed, expanding and contracting over the Blood Demons.

At this point, if one were to observe the four Blood Demons more closely, they would find only four skeletons left behind on the ground.

Even more chilling, the bones of the Tier-4 Blood Demon—once pristine as white jade—had visibly dulled.

Just as Yu Zi Yu had speculated: ‘It devours not only flesh but also Spiritual Energy and other indescribable essences.’

All of this was to bear a single Blood Demon Fruit.

“A rather brutal process, indeed…” Watching the branches drain the four Blood Demons of their blood, flesh, and beyond, Yu Zi Yu could not help but sigh.

Of course, he had no intention of admitting that he was the Tree of Miracles.

And in truth, he was not…

Currently, he was merely channeling the Tree of Miracles’ power using his own branches and roots as conduits.

In a way, this Tree of Miracles was just an echo of an ancient, fearsome Demonic Tree—a mere reflection.

Though it was not the main body, it functioned like a secondary incarnation.

Currently, this incarnation of the Tree of Miracles was simply a tool, allowing Yu Zi Yu to draw on its power at will.

Yu Zi Yu’s plan was to test its usefulness through this process.

If the results proved satisfactory, he would eventually refine the nearby Demonic Tree, embedding it into the Nine Realms as one of its foundational pillars. Then, whenever he required, he could call upon its might.

In other words, Yu Zi Yu intended to make the Tree of Miracles into a weapon of his own. This way, he could harness the tree’s power without any risk of contamination.

A shadow of a smile appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s lips, feeling pleased with his plan.

In his own way, he was extraordinarily prudent and meticulous. He would extinguish any possibility of corruption at the outset.

His True Form, the Immortal Tree, required purity. No external force could be allowed to taint it… especially not a dark and evil tree like the Tree of Miracles. It could never be allowed to corrupt his True Body.
