“Monster Zero has quite the battle instincts…” Yu Zi Yu silently admired as he watched Monster Zero, even with his heavily injured tail, go all out to deliver a deadly blow.

Monster Zero certainly acted decisively.

Despite his severe injuries—not only was his tail almost split in two, but the wound was also riddled with countless strands of blood-colored Sword Energy, gnawing away at his flesh like parasitic worms—Monster Zero’s condition was still much better than that of the Blood Demon Clan’s Princess.

After all, taking a direct hit from Monster Zero’s condensed Atomic Breath was no joke.

The terrifying penetration alone was enough to shatter the defenses of nine out of ten Tier-5 Transcendents.

At this moment…

*Crack, crack…* With a series of sharp cracking sounds, the blood-red armor on the Blood Demon Clan’s Princess shattered like paper under the fearsome might of the Atomic Breath.

The Atomic Breath carried such force that her body was flung straight towards the horizon.

As for her sword—Bloodbane—it streaked through the air, falling straight towards the ground.

And noticing the blood-red glow surrounding Bloodbane begin to fade, Yu Zi Yu raised his Dragon Claw.

*Boom…* With a sudden surge of suction, the blood-colored sword, still falling towards the ground, vanished into thin air.

The next moment, Yu Zi Yu’s Dragon Claw closed around the long sword, which trembled violently in his grip.

“Quite spirited, aren’t you?” Yu Zi Yu’s expression grew slightly colder as he looked at the blood-red sword in his claw, which shook and screeched.

Then, with a decisive motion, his claw tightened…

*Crack…* A sharp, crisp sound echoed as sparks flew when Bloodbane scraped against Yu Zi Yu’s Dragon Claw.

After a brief pause, Yu Zi Yu looked up and saw Bloodbane lying limply in his grasp, as though drained of all life.

What amused Yu Zi Yu even more was the once-vibrant aura of the sword now fading, as if snuffed out entirely.

“Playing dead?” Yu Zi Yu chuckled, yet his attention never wavered.

Instead, his gaze grew more focused as he examined the blood-colored sword with piercing intensity.

Tier-7 Demonic Sword: Bloodbane (Extreme Dao Artifact) — Forged with thousands of drops of Essence Blood, and the life and Soul sacrifices of a million beings, including ten Tier-4 Transcendents, this sword possesses an immense, murderous power.
Abilities:

Bloodthirst — Absorbs blood essence to continually increase its power; the higher the quality of the essence, the more terrifying the increase.

Blood Agitation — Wounds inflicted by this sword cause blood to boil and even reverse flow, significantly weakening the victim’s strength.

Blood Curse — Injuries inflicted by this sword linger like a curse, hard to heal and worsening over time.

Burning Blood — Burns the wielder’s own essence blood to grant a massive power boost.

Divine Ability:

Bloodbane — Upon activation, it instantly transforms into a streak of blood light, striking in an invisible manner that bypasses conventional defenses, making it nearly impossible for flesh-based lifeforms, that have blood flowing within them, to evade. However, against Elementals, its attack power is halved.

After going through Bloodbane’s status screen, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes could not help but narrow slightly.

Indeed, as an Extreme Dao Artifact, its power was extraordinary. In the right hands, it could elevate the battle strength of its wielder several times over.

And Yu Zi Yu had already found a suitable wielder for it.

[Thorns, don’t need to thank me…] With a faint smile, Yu Zi Yu placed the Bloodbane within the Nine Realms.

The Nine Realms, as self-sustained worlds, were capable of completely isolating the Blood Demon Clan Princess’ perception.

Just as Yu Zi Yu quietly placed the Bloodbane within the Nine Realms, the Blood Demon Clan’s Princess—Lan Xi, who had been flung away by the crimson beam, suddenly had a dramatic change in her expression.

“How is this possible? Why can’t I sense Bloodbane anymore?”

Her delicate face, revealed after her mask shattered, turned pale. Ignoring the blood-colored beam still pressing against her body, Lan Xi immediately looked in the direction where the Bloodbane had last vanished.

However, after a moment, seeing nothing there, her pupils shrank, and a look of disbelief crossed her face.

Bloodbane, as an Extreme Dao Artifact, was connected to her very life, yet it had disappeared from her perception.

Even if the sword was thrown from her hand or buried deep within the earth, she could summon it instantly with a single thought. However, now, despite her repeated mental calls, the sword was nowhere to be found. It was like the sword had sunk into the depths of an unyielding sea, leaving Lan Xi stunned.

In her brief moment of distraction, her Spiritual Energy’s concentration faltered. And in that single moment, Monster Zero’s Atomic Breath completely pierced through her, wiping away half of her body.

“Urgh…” The horrifying injury forced Lan Xi to cough up a large mouthful of blood. Even with her amazing regeneration, such grievous wounds would take days to heal.

And now, she was still in the middle of a battle.

With a bitter smile, Lan Xi knew the tides had turned against her.

“I… lost…” A trace of sorrow crossed her face as she dragged her broken body to look up at the massive figure approaching her.

Like a bear, its body loomed, tall as a mountain, emanating a red glow.

*Boom, boom…* Step by step, the ground beneath seemed to groan, as if it could not bear the weight.

[So, this is the fearsome beast that is attacking the Demon Hunter City.] Biting down her silver teeth, the Blood Demon Clan’s Princess—Lan Xi voiced her deepest, lingering question, “My Bloodbane—where did it go?”

“Bloodbane!?”  Monster Zero paused, as though a realization had dawned on him. Slowly, he lifted his gaze to the sky.

In the next moment—

*Crack, crack…* Sharp, deafening cracks echoed as the sky itself began to fracture.

With it came an overwhelming, terrifying aura, as if mountains and seas were collapsing all at once, suffocating everything in its wake.

At that instant, a calm voice echoed from the depths of the shattered sky. “I have use for this city. It will be mine.”

As the voice resonated, under the horrified eyes of countless Blood Demons, a massive Dragon Claw emerged from the depths of the ruptured sky, reaching down to claim both Demon Hunter City and the very ground it stood upon.
