*Boom…* Accompanied by a terrifying rumble, shaking the starry sky, a black, honeycomb-shaped star emerged from the depths of space.

This was the third Zerg Hive, the smallest of the three main Hives controlled by the Hive Mind.

It could hatch up to 10 billion Zergs, with fewer than twenty Tier-4 Zergs.

However, for the Zerg Queen—Shalira, this was more than sufficient.

After all, the Zerg Hive could grow. All she needed to do was refine it and nurture it.

However, at this moment, as if something crossed her mind, Shalira, who stood silently in the depths of the Hive controlling it, slowly lifted her head, looking at the distant figure.

A long cascade of purple hair draped over the figure’s shoulders. The figure’s slender form appeared both frail yet imposing. Surrounding the body was a dense concentration of starlight and a purple Void Energy that flowed continuously. Each strand of that energy was so overwhelming it could suffocate anyone.

In a trance, it felt like this force could crush Heaven and Earth.

Of course, this was an illusion. Merely a thread of energy could not possibly crush Heaven and Earth – that was far beyond what this figure could achieve at its current level.

However, this illusion demonstrated just how terrifying the figure’s strength was, surpassing ordinary imagination. Even King Zerg could not compare.

At this moment, Shalira pursed her lips and took a step forward, hesitantly asking, “Star God, is my Master really a Tier-6 Transcendent?”

Recalling the image of that Massive Tree, which seemed capable of supporting the entire starry sky, the Shalira could not hide the shock on her face.

[Is that Colossal Tree really my future Master? A Tier-6 that only existed in legends…]

“Why? You’ve seen his power, and you’re still doubtful?”  Yu Zi Yu chuckled, his eyes flashing with amusement.

Shalira was not entirely one of his people yet. At best, she could be considered halfway there.

Naturally, Yu Zi Yu would not tell her the relationship between this ‘body’ and his true self.

So, in Shalira’s understanding, the Star God was the Star God, and the Divine Tree was the Divine Tree.

That was perfectly fine. At least this way, Yu Zi Yu did not have to waste time explaining anything.

Meanwhile, he could quietly observe this promising ‘Disciple’ who possessed both great potential and considerable strength.

…

Up until now, Yu Zi Yu was quite satisfied with Shalira.

Two days had already passed. Yet during these two days, Shalira had stood silently by his side, never speaking out of turn, and showing him nothing but respect.

Moreover, when it came to tasks, she completed everything Yu Zi Yu assigned her with meticulous care.

She was also completely open with him, revealing all sorts of secrets about the Zergs.

According to her, since she was fortunate enough to become the Divine Tree’s Disciple, she naturally had to seize the opportunity.

More importantly, she even told Yu Zi Yu’s Void Elf Form that when she met the Divine Tree, she would open her mental defenses to allow the Divine Tree to inspect her mind.

The reason for this? She explained it was to earn the Divine Tree’s trust.

As for whether there were any secrets in her mind? Shalira had once smiled and explained that ever since her creation, her mind had been a blank slate.

The only knowledge she possessed had been instilled in her by the Hive Mind.

So, from a certain perspective, beyond basic knowledge, she truly did not have any secrets.

This was her primary reason for not fearing the Divine Tree’s mental inspection.

Another point worth mentioning was her Innate Talent, which allowed her to easily peer into the memories of others.

Thus, in her subconscious mind, allowing someone to inspect her mind was simply a sign of trust.

…

[This little one, aside from her instinctive wariness of the Hive Mind, truly has zero defense against others—no, it should be said, against those she considers part of her own camp…] With this mental note, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes could not help but flicker, looking at Shalira.

As for why she was wary of the Hive Mind, he naturally understood.

After all, the Hive Mind had nurtured her and controlled her life and death.

Every living being harbors a fear of those who hold sway over their existence.

This was instinct, and it was also fear.

At that moment, hearing Yu Zi Yu’s earlier question, Shalira smiled and answered without hesitation, “It’s precisely because I’ve seen my Master’s strength that I can hardly believe such power could be wielded by a living being.”

Suppressing her excitement, there was an indescribable glimmer in the depths of Shalira’s eyes.

It seemed to be a mix of longing and reverence. This was her instinct to chase after strength and yearn for power.

The meaning of her existence was to grow stronger.

“If you can’t believe it, then try to reach that height yourself.” As he said this, a smile appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s face.

However, he was serious. He truly looked forward to Shalira stepping into Tier-6.

If she did reach that level, the entire Zerg Army would likely undergo a qualitative transformation.

But before that, Yu Zi Yu needed to figure out a way to make Shalira truly one of his own. After all, a simple Master-Disciple relationship was not worthy of trust.

Even her own Mother—the Hive Mind—had betrayed the girl halfway; no matter how innocent she was, Yu Zi Yu would still feel apprehensive.

Moreover, he was cautious about any life form.

This was the sorrow of being a Divine Tree, who was full of treasures, which were no different than good fortunes to all.

Who could encounter such a being and remain unshaken?

So even with the so-called ‘Master-Disciple relationship,’ Yu Zi Yu needed an extra layer of security. Only then could Shalira truly become one of his own.

As for what that extra layer of security would be? Yu Zi Yu was currently pondering over it.

He considered an Apostle Covenant but soon dismissed the idea.

This Apostle Covenant would be tantamount to enslavement, greatly limiting the potential for growth of the life involved.

Aside from the Apostle Covenant, another means Yu Zi Yu had to control others was through Elemental Fruits.

Anyone who consumed Yu Zi Yu’s Elemental Fruits would not only allow him to draw insights from their understanding of Elemental Daos but also, from thousands of kilometers away, he could erase them in an invisible manner…

However, this method was not practical for Shalira. After all, he was unable to produce Elemental Fruits at this time.

[Given this situation, I’ll have to research a method to ensure the stability of our Master-Disciple relationship…] Thinking to himself, Yu Zi Yu began to contemplate.
