“Uh…” Yu Zi Yu felt shocked and somewhat frustrated. He had not expected the world’s evolution to affect him in such a way.

While this closer connection to the world had its advantages, it also posed potential problems.

It was similar to his previous connection with the Earth, it was both beneficial and risky.

The benefits were clear. For instance, Yu Zi Yu could now draw upon the World Energy even more forcefully, accelerating his own evolution.

However, the downside was equally apparent. If the world were to suffer damage, it could potentially harm Yu Zi Yu as well.

“Uh… it might get troublesome…” Yu Zi Yu expressed his helplessness., feeling a bit conflicted.

Even if he knew it, he could not do anything about it.

Except for the Cosmic Root that could anchor itself in the Void Space, all his other roots were firmly planted in the ground.

His tight connection to the earth meant he could only watch these changes unfold.

“If possible, I must eventually detach from this world and root myself in the Void Space.” Sighing in his heart, Yu Zi Yu made up his mind.

This was crucial for his survival, leaving no room for negligence.

Transitioning from being rooted in the earth to being rooted in the planet, and eventually to rooting himself in the Void Space or even deeper into chaos, was an evolution in itself. It was a visible form of evolution.

It also meant that Yu Zi Yu’s Hierarchy of Life would continue to transform until it was beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Currently, the drawbacks of being rooted in a planet have been made apparent. If a future battle were to severely damage the planet, Yu Zi Yu could be in significant trouble. Therefore, he was eager to root himself in the Void Space, the only place that would not constrain him.

As for rooting himself in chaos or the river of time, those were mystical concepts Yu Zi Yu didn’t dare to even think about. It was something beyond his current reach and comprehension. He was not yet in a position to even consider such possibilities.

With a wry smile, Yu Zi Yu didn’t hesitate to increase the absorption rate of his roots.

*Boom, boom, boom…* As the ground silently trembled, countless streams of energy flowed through the roots into Yu Zi Yu’s body.

At this moment, the most affected area was Yu Zi Yu’s Pocket of Earth.

Visible to the naked eye, the vast expanse of yellow earth in the Pocket of Earth started expanding at an incredible rate. At the same time, the phantom of a Tree rooted in the center of the Pocket of Earth also grew clearer.

…

At this moment, while everything was immersed in evolution, somewhere in the deep sea…

*Rooaar…* A furious roar echoed as a massive Black Flood Dragon, stretching over several hundred meters, slowly opened his eyes.

At a closer look, a fire of indescribable madness and fury happened to be burning in the depths of those eyes.

He had missed it—truly missed it.

At the advent of the Third Spiritual Energy Tide, when his bloodline started burning, his severe injuries forced him to abandon his chance at awakening.

Instead, he used the nine-colored Spiritual Energy to heal. And by the time his injuries were fully healed, the burning of his bloodline had nearly ended.

At that point, immersing himself in his consciousness yielded only sparse remnants of his legacy.

“Damn that Purple Python! I will kill you, kill you!” Roaring in extreme fury, the Black Flood Dragon’s cries echoed through the depths of the sea, filled with rage and hatred. His anger reached an apex, driving him to the brink of madness.

[It’s all because of that damn Purple Python. I was severely injured by it, which ultimately made me miss this great opportunity!]

*Haaaa…* His breathing grew heavier as two white mist fumed out of his nostrils, freezing the ocean.

His intense killing intent became almost tangible.

However, the next moment, the Black Flood Dragon clenched his dragon-like claws growing from his abdomen, his face filled with unwillingness.

He had no idea where the Purple Python came from. He had no idea where the Purple Python was.

“Dammit!”  Gnashing his teeth, the Black Flood Dragon was livid, his face becoming increasingly ferocious.

Just then, as if struck by a thought, his eyes suddenly turned cold.

“The Purple Python may have escaped, but what about that freaking Tree Monster and those cunning Humans who ambushed me?” Mumbling in a cold voice, the Black Flood Dragon’s Spiritual Energy surged.

*Boom…* The sudden surge of terrifying energy caused the entire sea to tremble.

At the same time, the pupils of many powerful beings in the nearby sea region contracted, simply because the sudden eruption of Spiritual Energy had reached 40-50 million.

The Spiritual Energy had reached such a terrifying level that the subsequent pressure spread in the course made everyone feel suffocated.

[How… how is this possible? The Flood Dragon King might be strong, but he had only just broken through just before the Third Spiritual Energy Tide… How could he possess such immense Spiritual Energy?]

Not just other powerful denizens of the deep sea, even other Sea Kings could not believe it.

Clearly, this defied common sense.

What no one knew was that breaking through to Tier-4 before the Third Spiritual Energy Tide was vastly different from breaking through after it.

Besides, the rate at which a Tier-4 absorbed nine-colored Spiritual Energy was on a completely different level from that of a Tier-3.

Though the Flood Dragon King had only just broken through to Tier-4, before the Third Spiritual Energy Tide, his body was weak and needed substantial replenishment.

Abandoning the inheritance and consuming the nine-colored Spiritual Energy with abandon allowed the Flood Dragon King to fully recover from his weakened state and complete a new round of accumulation.

Of course, this was not the most important part.

The most critical factor was that with the nine-colored Spiritual Energy surging at the advent of the Third Spiritual Energy Tide allowed the Flood Dragon King to fully absorb a piece of Heaven and Earth Spirit Grass it had found in the depths of the Dark Seas.

Unrestricted consumption of nine-colored Spiritual Energy, combined with successfully absorbing a piece of Heaven and Earth Spirit Grass, these two factors had brought a qualitative change in the Flood Dragon King’s power.

Now, he had a feeling that he could tear his former self of a few days ago apart in mere seconds.

This nearly invincible feeling ignited a blazing fire deep in his eyes.

‘Revenge, I’ll take my revenge,’ murmuring to himself, the Flood Dragon King swished his massive tail, shaking the sea with a deafening clap, creating a massive tsunami.

Amidst the terrifying waves, a Black Flood Dragon, stretching over several hundred meters, flew towards the mainland.

While flying, he raised his right claw as a dark energy ball slowly took shape, spinning.

*Whoooo…* Within a few breaths, the Spiritual Energy converged with such terrifying momentum that it created a terrifying howl, accompanied by fierce gales and dark clouds rolling in.

“Humans, die!” Glancing at a city already enveloped in nine-colored Spiritual Energy, the Flood Dragon King hidden in the clouds viciously hurled the energy ball down.

*Booooooom…* With a thunderous explosion, a coastal town of the Alliance of Southeast Asian Nations was obliterated from the face of the earth.

Looking up, the black storm, appearing like an inverted bowl, expanded endlessly, swallowing the entire town in an instant.

Not only Humans but even nearby Mutant Beasts could not escape.
