His Spiritual Energy was increasing at a speed visible to the naked eyes…

At the same time, an intense cold continuously spread along his body.

For Yu Zi Yu, this was possibly the most crucial and the most challenging cultivation session he had ever undertaken.

In this session, Yu Zi Yu aimed to break through the threshold of several million Spiritual Energy, possibly advancing into Tier-4.

*Haaa…* Reaffirming his plan, Yu Zi Yu exhaled a long, deep breath before deciding to delve deeper into his training.

“You guys can continue with your own cultivation,” Yu Zi Yu told his companions, who had returned to the island by now, Brewmaster, and White Snake.

He shifted his attention to Nine Tails, who was walking in the air.

The corners of his lips curled up into a smile before a small flame ignited in his canopy.

This was the place he had prepared for Nine Tails to rest.

The sight of the blazing area also brought a smile on Nine Tails’ lips. Then, she walked over in an elegant manner, and selected a comfortable spot before lying down.

For her, this was an alternative form of hibernation.

…

Bit by bit, time passed, and in the blink of an eye, weeks had gone by.

During this period, Yu Zi Yu’s Spiritual Energy successfully broke the threshold of five and a half million. Furthermore, as Yu Zi Yu was rooted on an island, his roots could already extend into the Arctic Ocean.

Although this nearby cold ocean was considered shallow and lacked powerful Mutant Fish, it still provided a remarkable number of Evolution Points.

Now, if one looked toward the deep ocean, he or she would clearly see the roots coming out of the island walls in the ocean, extending into the ice-cold ocean, and wantonly hunting any passing Mutant Fish.

However, who knows whether it was because of the Era of Transcendence, but as blood dyed the ocean red, Mutant Fish that were starting to gain sentience all chose to stay away. Consequently, Yu Zi Yu had no choice but to extend his tentacle-like roots farther into the ocean.

Of course, the Evolution Points acquired were more than sufficient.

Yu Zi Yu’s current Evolution Points had already reached a staggering 400,000. Including the 50,000 he had saved, he harvested the remaining 350,000 during the journey in the snow-covered wilderness, and from the icy ocean.

This demonstrated the ocean’s abundance.

Furthermore, this was just the ice-cold Arctic Ocean, and a shallow one at that…

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted toward the depths of the ocean, an even deeper and farther part of the ocean…

“I might run into an opponent that might pose a threat over there…” Yu Zi Yu chuckled, not minding it at all.

A threat was still a threat, but it was nothing more than another battle to him.

As far as he was concerned, it was nearly impossible for anyone to completely overpower and suppress him. After all, he was already beginning to upgrade his secondary roots.

“Yes,” Yu Zi Yu readily agreed with a nod.

Spending 300,000 Evolution Points to strengthen a single secondary root was indeed astounding.

However, rewards and efforts were naturally balanced.

Because at this moment, Yu Zi Yu felt a torrent of strange energy surging from the secondary root.

“Rumble, rumble, rumble…” Amidst the continuous tremors, Yu Zi Yu’s dozens of tree roots, each as thick as a person’s embrace, were trembling incessantly.

What was even more astonishing was that the trembling of the secondary root gave rise to tall waves in the Arctic Ocean.

For a moment, nearly half of the ocean seemed to be intimidated by the might of the upgraded secondary root.

…

Meanwhile, in Misty Mountains, unbeknown to Yu Zi Yu, a deep and resonant bellow, like one from ancient times, suddenly resonated through the sky.

*Moo…* Billowing soundwaves swept outward, causing even the boundless forest to bend slightly; it looked as if the trees were bowing in submission.

“Who is it? Who is it?” Amidst the maniacal and furious roar, Bull Demon, a bull-headed, humanoid-bodied creature, seemed to be consumed by rage. His chest heaved up and down with anger.

[Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!] He had been entrusted by the Divine Tree to guard Misty Mountains. But now, something had gone wrong, horribly wrong.

It was not a simple incident.

At that very moment…

*Boom, boom, boom…* Amid continuous tremors, an extremely massive wave of mist was surging from the distance.

“Second Brother, what’s wrong!?”  Sarcosuchus asked in a hoarse voice, perplexed.

It was unusual for his Second Brother to act this way. In the world of Mutant Beasts, Bull Demon was known for his composure.

Yet now, the Bull Demon was furious.

Even though he was trying to suppress it, many Mutant Beasts could still sense a fearsome oppressive aura emanating from him.

Suppressed yet terrifying, it was like a volcano on the verge of eruption, a terrifying sight.

“Lupin and Slytherin have gone missing…”

Hearing Sarcosuchus’s inquiry, Bull Demon exhaled a long, deep breath before replying in an ice-cold voice.

“What?” Sarcosuchus’ expression immediately changed, taken aback.

After all, Lupin, Slytherin, and even Auris were not your average Mutant Beasts. As deformed Mutant Beasts valued and nurtured by the Divine Tree with all his efforts, there was no doubt about their Innate Talent.

Their Innate Talents might even exceed those of the Nine Great Beasts.

Within Misty Mountains, these three little ones’ status was somewhat exceptional due to their Innate Talents and the Divine Tree’s attention.

Regrettably, the Divine Tree needed to go to the north to cultivate and could not bring them along. Therefore, they were entrusted in Bull Demon’s care.

Yet now, under the Bull Demon’s nose, Lupin and the Slytherin had gone missing?

It was no wonder Bull Demon was boiling with rage.

This was a task assigned to him by the Divine Tree. More importantly, Bull Demon was loyal and amiable by nature, and he got along well with the three little ones, treating them like family. In Human terms, Bull Demon treated these three little ones as his younger siblings.

However, now…

Sarcosuchus suddenly suggested, “Perhaps they are just lost. After all, Misty Mountains is so…”

Before he could finish his sentence, the approaching Sarcosuchus in the distance displayed a fearsome killing intent in his eyes, as if he had noticed something

“What’s that!?” At this moment, Sarcosuchus noticed that Bull Demon had a severely injured and unconscious figure in his hands.

The figure had multiple ears and appeared quite frail.

It was none other than Auris, a cute little monkey with a strong sense of perception.

But now, this little guy’s chest was sunken and drenched in thick blood.

*Haaaaa…* Sarcosuchus deeply exhaled and raised his head.

Then…

*Grooaar..* An inexplicable roar kept echoing, and in just a few breaths, it resonated throughout the entire Misty Mountains. At the same time, countless Mutant Beasts who heard this call were all shaken.

The terrifying bloodlust made many of them shudder.

Faintly, the Mutant Beasts felt that something big had happened.
