The intertwining of ice and fire presented a spectacular world of fire and ice.

Looking from a distance, half of Yu Zi Yu’s body was ablaze with raging flames, while the other half was covered in ice crystals that alternated between shattering and condensing.

One half hot, and one half cold, it was simply extraordinary.

At this moment, Yu Zi Yu paid no attention to this and instead turned his gaze to the Nine Tails, which was already lying on a branch at his canopy, and asked, “How’s that Spirit Stone Mine?”

“If I have to guess, it should be a medium-sized Spirit Stone Mine,” replying, Nine Tails gestured with her paws and added, exaggerating, “The entire island is filled with Spirit Stone Mines. At a glance, it looks like it’s made of ice. Right now, White Snake and Old Ninth have already made their nests there and are tirelessly cultivating.”

“It seems that our Ice-Attribute companions are in luck this time.” Yu Zi Yu smiled, satisfied.

A medium-sized Ice-Attribute Spirit Stone Mine could not be taken lightly. For instance, the medium-sized Earth-Attribute Spirit Stone Mine from before had given birth to powerful Earth-Attribute individuals in succession. The same was true for the current small-sized Fire-Attribute Spirit Stone Mine.

Creatures like Nine Tails, Brewmaster, and even Inferno Birds had all gained an significant increase in their strength thanks to this Fire-Attribute Spirit Stone Mine, some even becoming the pinnacle existences of the Misty Mountains.

And now, with the addition of an Ice-Attribute Spirit Stone Mine, one could easily foresee  the successive rise of various Ice-Attribute Mutant Beasts.

Unfortunately, there were not many Ice-Attribute Mutant Beasts in the Misty Mountains at the moment.

[I guess I need to make a trip to the snow plains to tame and train some Ice-Attribute Mutant Beasts.] Thinking about this, Yu Zi Yu also contemplated the idea of relocating his base.

Of course, the most important thing right now was to deal with the Tier-2 Transcendent Polar Bear that Yu Zi Yu had pulled closer to his tree body.

He slowly raised his gaze, and saw a figure on the verge of collapse.

It was heavily wounded, and became even weaker due to Yu Zi Yu’s extraction of Spiritual Energy. It could not even open its eyes.

The only signs of it being alive was its rising and falling chest.

“Do you want to follow me?” Yu Zi Yu softly asked, but it seemed to cross the distance and echoed in the heart of the Polar Bear.

*Rooaar..* A roar, filled with anger and a touch of sadness reverberated through the forest. However, the sense of determination in that roar made Yu Zi Yu narrow his eyes slightly.

In his mind, he saw a terrifying figure standing at the top of an iceberg, stirring up a blizzard, desperately roaring at him.

*Haaa…* Yu Zi Yu sighed with a hint of helplessness.

A Tier-2 Mutant Beast was different from a Tier-1. Tier-2 Mutant Beasts had developed their own consciousness. They also had their own pride. Furthermore, it was a Polar Bear.

Polar bears, also known as White Bears, may appear cute, but they lived in extremely harsh cold environments of the arctic. Given this, their temperament could be easily imagined.

Tough, unyielding…

So, no matter what, it was not easy to make this Tier-2 Polar Bear submit.

Just like now, under Yu Zi Yu’s mental pressure, the hint of determination under the quivering eyelids of the Polar Bear already spoke volumes. Obviously, suicide had crossed his mind.

“What a pity.”  Yu Zi Yu heaved a slight sigh after noticing this.

Then, the tree roots entwined around the Polar Bear suddenly tightened.

*Squish…* Sounds akin to tearing of fabric rang as the Polar Bear’s flesh became all mangled. At the same time, a terrifying suction force emanated from Yu Zi Yu’s tree roots.

*Rooaar..* Like a beast in despair, it let out its final mournful cry. But within this cry, there was a faint sense of relief. Perhaps, for such a strong creature, death was not a bad choice either.

Yu Zi Yu sighed in his heart but increased the speed of extracting Spiritual Energy once again.

However, immediately afterward, a cold, synthetic, electronic voice suddenly rang in Yu Zi Yu’s ear,

Listening to this clear notification, Yu Zi Yu could not exactly be called joyful. The death of a Tier-2 Mutant Beast left him feeling somewhat desolate. After all, becoming a Transcendent was not easy. Becoming a Tier-2 Transcendent was even more so.

Although he had no idea what kind of tribulations this Polar Bear had gone through, looking at its battered body and the glimmer of relief in its eyes, Yu Zi Yu could understand a little.

At that moment, another cold notification sound suddenly rang in Yu Zi Yu’s ear,

Just as the notification dropped, Yu Zi Yu felt an extremely chilling sensation spreading from the roots.

“Successfully plundered!?” Yu Zi Yu in a slightly puzzled voice, a bit confused.

However, after a moment, a look of realization crossed his face, as if he had remembered something.

He had almost forgotten that his roots had a very low probability of plundering abilities while devouring prey. However, the probability was so low, incredibly low, that even after Yu Zi Yu devoured so many prey, even someone as strong silver-haired General Li, he had failed to successfully plundered an ability.

And now, unexpectedly, he had successfully plundered an ability.

It was indeed a pleasant surprise.

With this in mind, a faint smile appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s lips before he turned his gaze to the status screen.

After a moment, a dense line of text appeared in his sight.

Unique Ability: Snow Storm (Level 1) – You can manipulate wind and snow and wind your own power, thus affecting weather around you, creating an intense and harsh winter…(when a howling wind carries snowflakes pouring down, there is only one possibility, it will strike again)

“An ability to control the weather?” a murmur escaped Yu Zi Yu’s lips, somewhat surprised. He had not expected that the Tier-2 extraordinary Polar Bear would bring him such an ability. After all, an ability to control weather was relatively rare.

Just like his ‘Mist Manipulation,’ it was also a type of weather manipulation ability.

This type of ability was not about power.

After all, in terms of power, Yu Zi Yu’s ‘Advent of the Tree World’ and the recently acquired Divine Ability ‘Feather Firestorm’ could easily overpower it.

However, the ability to control the weather possesses a characteristic that most other abilities, even Divine Abilities, lacked.

That it was long and lasting.

In other words, as long as Yu Zi Yu wishes, he can make a specific area experience years of unending snow storms. Just like the dense fog currently shrouding the Misty Mountains, as long as Yu Zi Yu did not want it to dissipate, that area will remain cloaked in perpetual mist.
