Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1013 1013:- The Stronghold of Allies

With Rin and Athena, Aditya started his new journey to reclaim the throne. Because he was exiled legally, he wasnʼt entitled to the throne.

But this was one of those situations where breaking the law was a must for the greater good.

And what he really cared about the most was the fact that his cousin, who was the new Emperor, was a member of the organisation that threatened the entire world. He was not interested in becoming the new emperor of the empire from which he was exiled.

He was more interested in removing the influence of the organisation from the Celestial Dragon Empire.

After saying farewell to the rest of the family early in the morning, the trio quickly arrived in Tunnel World, the pocket dimension that served as a connecting point between the six continents and the main continent.

Compared to last time, their journey this time was really smooth. This time, they did not hide their identities.

It seems the organisation did not plan to ambush them while they were in this pocket dimension. Aditya and the rest werenʼt really worried about an ambush because, compared to their last visit, this time the trio returned being much more powerful and experienced.

Within one day through the secret corridor, they managed to cross the Sand Mirage Desert and reach the Dwarf City, where the dwarf allies were waiting for him.

Before starting this journey, he had already sent a letter to the leader of the Dwarf tribe, informing them of his arrival.

For now, this place will become their base of operation. This place was still far away from the Celestial Dragon Empire, and because of the Sand Mirage Desert, the organisation wouldnʼt be able to do anything to him or his allies. This was the perfect base, even if it was quite far away from the empire.

Not to mention, over the last two months, Alfred has been making regular visits to the dwarf territory. Through him, Aditya maintained regular contact with the Dwarf Tribe. The Dwarf tribe sent hundreds of spies and spent a fortune to help him gather information about the changes in the political landscape that took place ever since His cousin became the Emperor.

”You did not pay them?” Rin could not help but ask.

Athena shook her head with a smile. ”The Dwarf tribe is as wealthy, if not more wealthy, than the Istarin Empire despite being so tiny. To put it into better perspective, the city in which the Dwarf Tribe lives isnʼt even as big as the 15th biggest city of the Istarin Empire.”

”Their main source of income is forging for their clients.”

The trio entered the Dwarf City, which is named Brightmor City. Compared to their last visit, nothing much had changed. Everything remained the same. But there was a strong rumour around the city that someone had managed to clear the Steel Dwarf Trial. But the name of that person remains unknown.

”These people are so rich that it would be seen as a disrespect if Aditya offered to pay them.” Aditya nodded his head in agreement.

Shortly, they reached the centre of the city, where Alfred, Leo, Lahm, along with a few Elders and their wives, were waiting for them.

”Welcome!” Leo stepped forward with a big, bright smile, with his arms wide.

”We have been waiting for you.” Aditya extended his hand for a handshake, but the dwarf leader took his hand before pulling him in for a hug.

”In our culture, we donʼt greet our friends with just a handshake. Handshake is only for our clients. We greet our friends with hugs.”

”Uncle, how have you been doing?”

”Certainly better than before, thanks to you.” He was under a lot of pressure before he met Aditya because his cousin kept pressuring him with various methods to change the rune formations on the Celestial Dragon Empireʼs throne and Crown. But with Aditya, he finally could stand against the Emperor without any fear.

Not to mention, Alfred has been taking care of the food supplies. Every time he visited Brightmor City, he bought more than enough fresh supplies to support the food demand of the entire City.

And ever since the Emperor sent his men, demanding that the Dwarf leader himself go to the capital of the Celestial Dragon Empire to help him by making changes to the rune engravings on the throne and the crown, something strange has been happening.

They have started facing food shortage problems. Before, even if food was expensive, there was never any actual shortage. But this time, strangely enough, five out of their ten food suppliers were attacked by bandits, and their supplies were constantly being stolen.

This was not something that used to happen before.

So even a ten-year-old child could guess that this was not a coincidence. It must have been done by the Emperor after Leo rejected him.

Sustaining such a huge population in a city that is surrounded by desert, and the desert is the most difficult place in the entire world to cross, was very difficult. Even the word ”difficult” might not capture the struggle and headache Leo went through every single month. Most of their income was always spent ensuring the city had enough food.

But Aditya recognises this problem and offers to solve it for free, without accepting any form of payment. Each time, he sent Alfred with tons of food of various kinds to make sure the city and its people never ran out of food or lacked any options.

After hugging the leader, Aditya turned to the son, Lahm, who is next in line to become the dwarf leader. This time, he pulled the young man of his age into a hug. He heard from Aflred that after this civil war situation ends, he plans to slowly push Lahm and give him more responsibilities. So that in 5 to 10 years, he is ready to take over his position, and Leo could enjoy a retirement.

If this were the case, Aditya would meet Lahm in the future. Not to mention, he felt that both of them had a good connection. Lahm was the one who led him to the entrance of the trial and even waited for him until he was done.

While Aditya was greeting the leader and a few other elders, the eldersʼ wives and a few female Elders approached Rin and Athena. The ladies of the tribe also greeted them with hugs and light kisses on their cheeks

”Come, letʼs enjoy lunch while we chat.”

In anticipation of their visit, the leader had already prepared a lavish banquet. The regular diet of the dwarves mostly consisted of meat and wine. They rarely ate vegetables.

But for their guests, they prepared more than 20 different dishes, along with many side dishes.

Not even an inch of the table was left empty.

After entering, Aditya turned to Leo and handed him a storage ring.

”Uncle, this is a small gift I have prepared. I hope you will accept it.”

Leo took the ring and looked at it for a moment before laughing out loud.

”Hahahhaa!!!”

”Thank you for this generous gift.”

Inside the storage ring, there were 100 kg of different kinds of magical fruits of various star ranks. There was also meat from high-quality magical beasts, carefully preserved and ready to be cooked. Fresh vegetables of almost every kind were stored neatly as well. In addition to that, there were 50 tons of gold bars.

There were also large quantities of grains, spices, dried herbs, and preserved food items such as smoked meat and dried fish. Various types of cheese, butter, and cooking oils were included, along with sacks of flour and rice that could be used to prepare many different dishes.

And most importantly, there were 1,000 barrels of high-quality wine. Aditya knew that the tribe loved wine after a hard day of work. With Aliciaʼs help, he was able to obtain this high-quality wine that was only found in a small empire located on the Beast Continent.

Along with that, there were 100 tons of fresh grapes, which could be used to produce even more wine in the future. There were also sets of expensive glassware, specially made for drinking wine.

Seeing all this, Leo was very pleased and happy with the gift that Aditya had given him.

Aditya knew that Leo and his tribe did not lack money. What they truly lacked was food, meat, and wine. So he specifically gathered the best of the best available in the Istarin Empire; everything that the Dwarf Tribe lacked - and presented it as a gift.

”Come, letʼs eat!” Everyone sat down to eat.

”Although I have a general understanding of what you want to do next. But I still want to hear it from your mouth. Aditya, what do you plan to do next?”

Aditya put the glass containing dragonfruit juice down on the table.

”For now, I want to have an audience with my mom and Dad.”

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!
