”While being on active duty, you were spending time with your wife. If not for this whole event, I would have never known that the soldiers whom I trust so much are betraying my trust in this manner.” Wahid was very disappointed in them. Even the word disappointment would be an understatement in this situation.

The Captain could only lower his head in shame and fear.

”Uncle, deal with this later. For now, some guests come to see us.” Hearing this, Wahid let go of the Captain.

Following Aditya’s line of sight and the direction in which he was looking, he saw several figures standing in the crater that was formed from the explosion.

Those figures wore black cloaks and covered their faces with black hoods. But there was one among the group that did not cover his face with the black hood, and he also stood a few steps forward. He stood like he was the leader of the entire group.

Seeing this, the troops moved aside for the Harrington family members. They opened a path that led all the way to the crater.

”Victor!!!” Seeing the enemy who tortured so many of his soldiers to death, Aditya could not control his emotions. He was also itching to get his hands on Victor. Crimson Lightning bolts started flickering around his body.

”I hope we are not interrupting this emotional family moment,” Victor said in a sarcastic tone.

”Not at all. We were hoping that the members from that rotten organisation would show up.” Aditya also started taking slow steps forward, Victor. At this moment, he cared about nothing but killing Victor.

The death that this man will receive has to be the most painful death that the soul has ever experienced in this world.

It cannot be an instant, painless death. It has to be a slow, painful death. Aditya wanted to break him in every possible way before ending his way. That would be the ultimate punishment for what he had done.

”Revenge? Is that what you want, Aditya?” Victor asked. The very thought brought him immense satisfaction. Seeing the man he hated so much consumed by the same desire for revenge that had driven him ever since his brother’s death felt strangely rewarding. For years, Victor had carried that pain alone. Now, for the first time, Aditya was beginning to understand what it felt like to lose something precious and be powerless to stop it.

But even that was not enough for Victor.

The death of his brother could never be repaid by simply killing Aditya. That would be far too merciful. A quick death would only allow Aditya to escape the suffering that Victor had endured for so long.

No, Victor wanted something far worse. He wanted Aditya to watch helplessly as the people he loved were taken away from him one by one. He wanted him to experience despair, grief, and helplessness so profound that every waking moment became torture. Only after Aditya had tasted that pain would Victor consider the debt between them settled. In Victor’s eyes, death was not punishment; it was an escape.

True revenge was forcing someone to live with the pain long after everything they cared about had been destroyed.

”If you wanted to fight me to the death, then you could have asked for it. Why go through so much?” Aditya understood the reason everything happened was so that Victor could get Aditya alone without Boris or Harrington being present.

”Aditya, that sounds like what I did emotionally hurt you.” Victor replied in a mocking tone.

”To answer you, the point of doing all this is to inflict you with guilt and pain that won’t vanish within a few hours.”

He took a few more steps while continuing to talk. ”Look around you....!!!” Victor spread his arms as if to show Aditya the surroundings.

”The Mansion where you often came and spent days staying here is now completely gone. A part of your childhood is gone.”

”Thousands that are somehow related to you have already died.”

”Your two grandfathers are now fighting losing battles. Soon you will get the news of them dying.”

Victor then pointed his spear at Wahid. ”And very soon, you will lose your dear uncle Wahid.”

”One by one, everyone that you care about is going to die.” Saying that, he briefly glanced at the girls behind Aditya.

”I want you to go through the same pain that I have gone through. I want you to hate me so much that you can’t stop thinking about killing me for a second.”

Hearing all this, Aditya stayed silent. He also walked towards Victor.

”Who was your brother?”

He couldn’t help but ask.

”I am assuming your brother worked for this rotten organisation.”

Victor showed a look of pain and grief when asked about his brother.

”Yes!”

”Tell me his name?”

”He was called the White Angel as he had white wings that resembled the wings of an angel.” Hearing this, Aditya grinned. How can he forget that man?

”So you are Jay’s brother.” Aditya was surprised for a second. Jay and Victor looked completely different. It’s no wonder that he couldn’t think of anyone who could be related to Victor that he had killed in the past.

”Your Brother was a rotten piece of shit who wore a gentle mask to deceive the public. But in reality was one of the most rotten men I have ever known.”

”And you are somehow worse than your brother.”

”At least, he pretended to be gentle even if it was just for show. But you....”

”But then again, I never really knew the horrible shits that he did in this lifetime. So you two brothers might belong to the same rotten category.”

Victor remained silent, hearing all this. But he no longer had the smug look on his face.

”I clearly remember the look of fear on his face before I took his life.”

”You Cunt!!!!”Victor had heard enough. He charged at Aditya at full speed. He moved so fast that Aditya could not see him.

Just as his attack was about to hit Aditya’s chest, another blur appeared in front of him in that second and blocked the attack for Aditya.

The person who saved Aditya was his uncle, Wahid.

”As long as I am alive, no one harms my nephew.” Despite having two wives, Wahid had no children. Since Aditya was young, he and his wives viewed and loved Aditya as if he were their own child. Aditya had their own blood, so calling him their son wasn’t wrong.

Wahid always felt that he wasn’t a good uncle towards Aditya. Since he couldn’t find Aditya when he was exiled, but now that he was back, regardless of what happens, the world would first need to go through him before harming Aditya.

”Family bonding...Hahaha!!!” Victor did not move back. Instead, he stopped attacking and just laughed, seeing Wahid being so protective of Aditya.

”What are you guys waiting for?” At his words, the rest, who were 5 meters away from him, charged towards the girls.

”Aditya, you deal with him. We can take care of these low-ranking nobodies.” Athena was confident in her abilities.

Hearing this, Aditya felt reassured.

But hearing her words, Victor smirked and replied. ”No. Their job is to keep everyone alive until I kill your uncle. Then the plan is to kill you all under your gaze.”

”Half of you, go to the four corners of the city where you saw those strange bluish light pillars. There should be boxes with runes engraved on them. As long as one of the boxes is destroyed, this barrier will stop working. The other half assists the girls in this fight.”

”Did you think we didn’t come here prepared?” Victor mocked Wahid.

”Necromancer, do your thing.” At his command, three necromancers from the group stepped out and summoned a large wave of undead creatures that surrounded the troops from all sides.

But still, more than 20 soldiers managed to slip through and go on a search. Among a few thousand soldiers, even if 20 managed to slip and go on a search, no one noticed, as everyone was focused on what was in front of them.

”Come with me. Earlier, I saw a bluish light near the abandoned house.” The Captain of these few thousand troops was one of those figures who managed to slip away.

He wanted to redeem himself. The best way of redeeming himself would be to find the box that His Lord was talking about and remove this barrier.

Under his leadership, the soldiers moved rapidly through the streets toward their destination. However, the journey was far from easy. The massive explosion that had occurred earlier had thrown the entire city into chaos. Roads that were usually busy but manageable had now become completely packed with terrified civilians. Thousands of ordinary people were fleeing from the direction of the explosion and rushing toward the city walls, hoping to find safety as far away from the danger as possible.

As a result, their advance was much slower than expected. The soldiers were forced to push their way through a sea of frightened citizens, carefully navigating through the chaotic crowds without causing further panic. To make matters worse, even the nearby guards responsible for maintaining order appeared overwhelmed.

Most of them had little idea what had actually happened, whether the explosion was an isolated incident or if another attack was about to follow. With confusion spreading throughout the city, maintaining control of the crowd had become nearly impossible, leaving the streets in a state of growing disorder and panic.

”We cannot continue like this.” At his orders, everyone flew off in the direction that he remembered seeing the bluish light coming from.
