Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2386 Quite The Vixen

Everlight shook her tails as she saw the patch of dull azure fur covering the tip of her nine tails. She couldnʼt help but take out a mirror from her spatial ring and begin to see how she looked, inclining her head, looking around as she twisted her body, noticing that there were a few dull azure stripes over her wings in the form of runes including silvery-golden ones.

She wondered if it was because of her previous species as a Light Sky Wolf, as she could sense that she could still use her old powers and techniques.

Still, there was also a light azure arc over the surrounding of her eyes like they were face paint. Her vertical pupils were also azure-golden, while her forehead was marked with a horizontal crescent with a line extending down from the middle, making her blink as she thought that her looks werenʼt bad after all.

In fact, she instinctively found that she was more beautiful and elegant than she ever had been, although her recognition that she had turned into a fox was still unacceptable as she had raised her pride as a wolf ever since she was young.

”Youʼre going to be quite the vixen, Everlight...”

Evelynn came forward as she elegantly flew and landed beside Everlight.

”How can it be?” Everlightʼs spine straightened as she turned to look at Evelynn.

She could also sense that the other party had an Emperor-Tier aura, causing her to remain on her toes but not so much as she knew that Evelynn meant no harm.

”I cannot compare to the beauty of his eminenceʼs first wife.”

”Thereʼs no need to be humble. My beauty didnʼt even come close to kingdom-toppling beauties, but once I became a fey and even acquired Emperor-Tier Blood, I can proudly say that Iʼve crossed even the elite populace in terms of beauty and, as my husband says, sexiness. Iʼm sure he will feel proud of you too.”

”...” Davis didnʼt comment, but Everlight shyly glanced at him.

The next moment, a ray of pure white light with a bit of dull azure emerged all over Everlightʼs body before the light compressed into a humanoid form, revealing her human form.

”...!”

However, Everlight was shocked to see that her attempt to conjure a white robe failed, causing her to become naked!

”Ah~”

Instantly, she covered her overflowing bosoms with her palms as she flinched, causing even her pale-white butt to shake.

Davis was stunned as his pupils shrunk, and he saw the flirtatious and sexy face of Everlight, especially when he saw her bouncing bosoms before it was covered. Those delicious pink nipples couldnʼt help but flash in his mind multiple times.

However, he forced himself to walk up to her and waved his hand around her head, which was covered by white hair with a bit of dull azure strands, draping her body with a bed sheet.

”Everlight, Iʼm sure you are confused as you are, and Nadia also faced the same accident when transforming after the first time she mutated, so donʼt worry yourself over this matter. It happens...”

Everlight blushed heavily as she kept her head lowered. Her fingers shook as she held the cloth that he draped over her naked body, feeling the warmth but the shame swelling from her prideful soul caused her to want to commit suicide.

This feeling shocked her, wondering what was going on with her body. She knew she wouldnʼt be this ashamed to be seen by the mate she had chosen for herself, so what was going on?

*Whoosh!~*

At this moment, a tiny dark-winged wolf appeared on her shoulder, causing her to become stiff as a sliver of hostility flashed past her azure-golden eyes.

”Empress Nadia...”

Nadiaʼs tiny purplish-golden pupils stared at Everlight, ”I know youʼre confused as much as Master said, Everlight. I further know you hate me as I can intrinsically feel that I hate you. To be precise, not you but your sacred presence. However, our attributes are irrelevant in front of our loyalty towards our Master. Donʼt ever forget that.”

Everlight and Nadia stared at each other in close proximity when Nadia was suddenly lifted up.

”Now, now, Nadia. Donʼt scare her.”

”Fhi~”

Nadia whimpered softly in Davisʼs grasp but didnʼt struggle as she put her head down.

However, Everlight turned her body as she still stared at Nadia, ”I wonʼt forget that, Empress Nadia.”

”Stop that. Since you are also an empress, thereʼs no need to call me an empress. Besides, youʼre not a wolf anymore.”

”...”

Everlightʼs gaze shook, her lips pursing with a bit of sorrow as she smiled, ”Although this body of mine has changed and is unfamiliar, my thoughts havenʼt. I will call keep calling you Empress Nadia until the day I can reach your level one day.”

Everlight seemed aware of the heavy pressure Nadia released. After all, she recognized that the latter was no longer a mortal beast but an immortal beast.

Nadia stared at Everlight for a few breaths before she transformed into a dark ray of light and retreated into Davisʼs soul sea. On the other hand, Davis saw that they had their own differences to clear. Was this the clash between life and death?

”Well, I wonʼt ask much of you, but learn to get along with us, especially Nadia.”

”Your eminence- I mean, master. What are you saying? Ever since I formed that pact with you, Iʼve been yours. I will follow your command up to the-”

Everlight bent her bare knee, but halfway, she stopped. Her body began to tremble, disallowing her to kneel. Instantly, she became shocked, afraid that Davis would take this action as a sign of disloyalty.

”This... Master... Iʼm-”

”Everlight!”

The bewildered white-haired flirtatious beauty was awoken from her reverie when Davis grabbed her shoulders.

”Calm down. It will take time for you to adjust to your new body. Thereʼs no need to be hasty, understand?”

”...”

Everlight pursed her lips, looking at him with her slanted eyes before she nodded her head while Davis heaved a breath.

He understood that to have gone from a normal Light Sky Wolf to the legendary Nine Lives Gracious Fox and an Emperor-Tier Nine Lives Gracious Fox at that, he knew that Everlight was suffering from a severe identity crisis.

Previously, Evelynn also took time and affection from him to accept her identity as a fey, so he was intent on first letting Everlight take a good look at herself and then come to her own understanding and acceptance. He felt that should be the natural progression so that Everlight doesnʼt come to incur a heart demon of some sort.

”Evelynn, help me take care of Everlight.”

”Will do~”

Evelynn didnʼt hesitate to answer, causing Davis to hold her lips and kiss her forehead, ”Thanks.”

As someone who experienced a similar identity crisis, Davis felt that if it was Evelynn, who was also gentle and understanding, would be able to relate and sympathize with Everlightʼs problem.

Evelynn felt a warm feeling passing through her third eye, which made her feel loved.

She returned the kiss to his lips, brushing against his body as they held each other with passion before taking a step back. A sliver of saliva stuck to their luscious lips as they separated when both of them licked their lips to clear it, smiling at each other as they gazed into each otherʼs eyes.

There was only boundless love for each other.

However, they didnʼt flirt for too long, with Davis turning to leave.

”Master, it wonʼt take me long to get used to this body, so donʼt abandon me...”

Everlight stood up and pleaded with some worry in our voice, causing Davis to chuckle.

”I wonʼt. Just take some rest. Iʼll see you shortly.”

He patted her shoulder and walked toward Isabella and the others.

”Am I the only one who hasnʼt eaten even a single piece of the Burning Phoenix yet?”

”Seems like it...” Isabella wryly smiled.

However, Niera waved her hand at this moment, turning to look away.

A big dish was in her hand, and the aroma of fried meat spread, causing Davisʼs mouth to water once again.

”Ah...” Sophieʼs eyes shot wide, ”You stole the food, Niera.”

”What are you saying?” Niera blushed as she stepped on Sophieʼs foot with a heavy blush, ”I obviously brought it for Davis.”

”Who cares if youʼve stolen it? Youʼre the best, Niera!”

Davis captured Nieraʼs chin and planted a heavy kiss on her cheek, causing her to become stiff. But then, watching him plunder and rip apart the pieces of delectable Burning Phoenix meat the next moment, she couldnʼt help but gently smile.

”Master, I... I want..!”

Nadia had also come out again, her purplish-golden eyes glowing. However, Davis narrowed his eyes as he guarded his dish with his other hand.

”Weʼll have to fight to the death, then...”

”Fhi~” Nadia whimpered in grievance.

”Davis, youʼre too much.” Isabella took Nadia into her arms and brushed her head, ”Come with me, Nadia. Iʼll help you retrieve the biggest chunk you stopped eating to guard your heartless Master.”

”Iʼll go with you!” Nadiaʼs eyes lit up while Isabella couldnʼt help but secretly reveal a wicked smile.

”Then letʼs leave your useless master here to rot with these women.”

”Iʼm not staying either.” Shirleyʼs brows raised before she instantly captured Leaʼs wrist and spoke, ”Master, letʼs go. If you give him an inch, he will take a yard. Donʼt let him think weʼre always available, or he will look down on us.

”Eh?” Lea blinked, not sure what was going on. However, before she could say anything, Isabella screamed out.

”Lereza, will you help transport us out? Thanks!”

Instantly, a ray of light enveloped Isabella, Nadia, Shirley, Natalya, Lea, and even Fiora and Mingzhi, the latter two stunned over why they were also taken away. Just because they had stood together?

Their crying expressions disappeared along with the ray of light.

”...”

Davis couldnʼt help but gawk at this scene. Were his women now using the spirit of this palace as a transport system now?

ʼWait a minute... when have they exactly interacted enough to do favors like this?ʼ

Davis didnʼt know but knew he missed a lot of interaction within the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace as a year had already passed within. Thatʼs for sure.

Nonetheless, he was just about to tease Nadia for a few seconds but to think that they were looking out for him. He couldnʼt help but feel grateful as he turned to look at the two women who were left behind, taking a bite and ripping the piece of meat off from a thick bone, chewing them to his heartʼs content.

”You two, thereʼs nothing towards the left or the right, so look at me...”

Sophie and Niera, who were aware of why Isabella and the others took their leave, turned to look at Davis as their cheeks possessed a healthy blush of affection and expectation.

It had been a long while since they saw him, and now they could be said to be alone in a vast land of greenery imbued by a soothing atmosphere, their feelings towards him that were suppressed couldnʼt help but swell.
