Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2384 Strange Aura

Davisʼs gaze was solemn as he continued to watch the silvery-white cocoon illuminate with a pure white glow every few seconds. Although his gaze was solemn, there was also excitement in it as he could sense that the palpitating heartbeat of Everlight was getting stronger and stronger.

She was about to break out of the egg-like cocoon if he was not wrong, so he rushed here.

All this time, the Transitory Beast Taming Pact had allowed him to feed her with Fallen Heavenʼs life energy passively.

Since he was sure that Everlight would more or less possess life energy since he fed her with it like he fed Nadia death energy, he brought her to this Nurturing Life Formation where life energy was everywhere. This life energy was fueled by the extraction portion of the Life Essence Orb, so he figured that it could also help Everlightʼs mutation as much as possible.

Inside, his soul sea nurtured her, and outside, the Nurturing Life Formation should be able to keep her safe and, perhaps, smoothen the process.

ʼThis time… things wouldnʼt definitely go wrong...ʼ

There was a slight bit of anxious feeling in Davisʼs heart. Last time, Nadia didnʼt completely go through the mutation as Everlight has now arrived. There was also the case of Katherine Hilltail dying without even being even able to transform into a cocoon, making him predict all kinds of situations, so his cautious mind couldnʼt help but derive many untoward scenarios, making him prepared for it.

He hoped that Everlight would successfully complete her mutation.

Five minutes passed in silence.

By this time, nothing had happened except that the aura the cocoon gave off became vibrant and purer. There was a hallowed and sacred feeling that pervaded the atmosphere even while the atmosphere was just that, indicating the amount of prowess the being within the cocoon held.

The others were also here, not interrupting Davis as they kept watching. Moreover, they missed the sacred air here, which made them feel calm while also energizing them, relieving them of their pain and the stress their body endured during months of cultivation. Especially, Sophie felt her back being rejuvenated.

All that refining and hammering in forging armaments left her immensely drained, but she didnʼt care as it was her passion.

She couldnʼt help but rub the back of her waist as she felt more relief when Niera came to help massage her. She thanked Niera while the latter just smilingly shook her head.

Davis noticed this, as well as glanced at the others who had appeared, including all his wives, Lea and Esvele. He didnʼt know why Esvele was here, but it didnʼt matter to him as Shirley pleaded to him to bring her along, and since Shirley was a good socializer and loved company, he decided to give Esvele a pass since she was also loyal to Shirley.

He saw that Esvele had also entered the Ninth Stage like everyone else, becoming curious. In truth, Evelynn, Isabella, Shirley, Lea, and Natalya were at the peak of the Ninth Stage, only lagging a bit behind in one or two cultivation systems utmost. As for Fiora and Mingzhi, they were just a thin line away from breaking through to the Ninth Stage, but he could sense that all their progress was immense.

ʼIʼll have to go check on their cultivations after this before I leave again...ʼ

Davis made a mental note, wanting to discover if they were properly cultivating and not overdrafting as Sophie did. For example, people like Schleya, Tina, and Dalila had never shown their faces to him ever since the seclusion started. He was worried that they might expend their blood essence or overdraft their souls to elevate their skills, trying to get to his level.

Even Clara and Tia hadnʼt exited seclusion or paid a visit to Ancestor Corneliaʼs celebratory event, worrying him more.

Just as he was thinking, the cocoon trembled at this moment, causing him to come out of his reverie as his gaze fell on the cocoon.

*Trrich!~*

A sharp cracking sound spread throughout the area, causing many eyes to instantly fall on it. The cracks spread in rugged lines and curves, eventually covering the entire egg-shaped silvery-white cocoon. Thereafter, a shell formed from the crack fell off as a paw extended out.

Its lush white fur could be seen covering its limb, appearing fascinating and soft to look at. However, it took its paw back inside before the face of a quadrupedal beast could be seen stretching out, taking a whiff of breath, either inhaling the fresh scent of the outside world or the air that was filled with vitality.

Evelynn and the others could only see a vague countenance of the magical beast they were expecting to see, but because of the sacred aura that condensed into mist, they couldnʼt see much.

Nevertheless, the beast didnʼt come out, causing everyone to blink, including Davis.

However, their confusion didnʼt last long as they saw the beast begin to feast on the shell that caused it to mutate. Bite after bite, the cocoon started to disappear.

All Evelynn and the others could see were many silhouettes grabbing the piece of the cracked shell and bringing it to the beastʼs mouth like they were its arms as it ate the shells. And as it ate, they could sense that not only did its aura grow more powerful, but its undulations also unfolded intensely.

Right now, they could feel its undulations had reached Peak-Level Emperor Beast Stage, and it was only rising while its prowess didnʼt seem to be ordinary. After all…

”Sheʼs undoubtedly Emperor-Tier...” Evelynnʼs bosoms heaved.

Even though she knew that Everlight would become an Emperor-Tier Magical Beast as Nadia displayed similar potential after undergoing a similar type of strange mutation, she still couldnʼt help but believe the miracles her man made possible.

The other women were also feeling the same, feeling shivers running through their spine as they felt the raw Emperor-Tier aura overwhelming them.

Evelynn didnʼt release her Emperor-Tier aura to counter that aura as she was worried that she would disturb the process. However, her brows couldnʼt help but possess a heavy frown.

”The mutation is a success. However, is it still Everlight?”

”What does big sister mean?” Isabella couldnʼt help but ask, her expression becoming worried.

”Third sister. Get back…”

Evelynn raised her hand to the side and protected her sisters as her undulations rose, causing Isabella and the others to step back.
