Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 894: Chapter 441: A Serendipitous Opportunity (First Update)

Lawrence Winters laughed, her beauty unparalleled, like a blooming night rose.

She raised her chin slightly, with a hint of arrogance, and said with a smile, ”I told you we could find him this way.”

Then she looked directly at Richard Stetford and said, ”The Book of Changes Sixty Four Diagrams divination is not about how to divine but how to interpret the hexagrams and line positions.”

”The same hexagrams and line positions mean different things to different people, and the interpretations can vary greatly.”

Richard Stetford nodded repeatedly and said, ”I’ve also wondered about this before. There are only sixty-four hexagrams, so how can the Celestial Path Sect use these sixty-four hexagrams to predict the destinies of billions of people around the world?”

Lawrence Winters walked with them toward the mansion, explaining gently, ”Yes, there are only sixty-four hexagrams, but for those who practice divination, the changes within these hexagrams are endless.”

”It’s like the ancient legend of the chessboard theory, where there are also only sixty-four squares. You place one grain of wheat on the first square, two grains on the second, four on the third, eight on the fourth, and so on. By the time you reach the sixty-fourth square, it’s far beyond the total number of all humans in the world.”

”Therefore, The Book of Changes Sixty Four Diagrams can certainly account for everyone under the heavens.”

”But the most difficult part lies in how you interpret them.”

”That’s the difference between a top student and a lazy one.”

Lawrence Winters said proudly.

Richard Stetford admired her and said, ”Your answer finally solved a question that has puzzled me for years.”

”To be frank, I’ve posed this question to Mr. Zhuge before, but unfortunately, he couldn’t answer it this well.”

In fact, Mr. Zhuge didn’t really answer it at all; he just said it was a secret of the Celestial Path Sect that outsiders wouldn’t understand.

Richard Stetford was not a member of the Celestial Path Sect, and Mr. Zhuge had never urged him to learn the Dao, so the matter ended without resolution.

Lawrence Winters smiled and said, ”Since I’m here, I didn’t intend to hide or obscure anything. I want everyone to recognize the marvels of our Celestial Path Sect, and for those who can only accept scientific theories and look down on our sect’s little tricks while calling them heretical, to open their eyes and see clearly that our sect’s methods can indeed be explained scientifically.”

Evan Stetford smiled and said, ”That’s why you suggested inviting a top scientist as one of the judges, right?”

”Exactly, it has to be a top scientist. Ordinary science and engineering people might not necessarily have such insights,” Lawrence Winters said as she stepped over the mansion’s threshold.

Richard Stetford invited her to his study for a detailed discussion, and Lawrence Winters looked at Evan Stetford.

Evan Stetford nodded and said, ”Let’s all go, it won’t take much of your time.”

Lawrence Winters didn’t hesitate and followed them into Richard Stetford’s study.

Once again, Richard Stetford asked her why divining the Earth Diagrams could confirm it was this person.

Lawrence Winters sat on the sofa, casually crossing her legs, and took out the Big Five Emperors Coins from her pocket, placing them on the table in front of her, and said very seriously, ”The Earth Diagrams are the second hexagram in The Book of Changes Sixty Four Diagrams, the first is Heaven.”

”Heaven and Earth, Heaven above and Earth below.”

”Heaven represents the sky, Earth represents the land.”

”Moreover, Heaven represents men, Earth represents women.”

”Thus, in the imperial palace, the Palace of Heavenly Purity is the Emperor’s residence, while the Palace of Earthly Tranquility is the Empress’s.”

”And women also represent water; all life originates from water, which science has proven.”

”In interpreting the hexagrams of The Book of Changes, ’river’ is used to represent water.”

”Additionally, Earth is the land, is water, is the origin of all things, is great virtue carrying all things, is the nature at the beginning of man, inherently good.”

”What this hexagram reveals is turning points after reaching a dead end, a revival after hitting rock bottom.”

”Therefore, as someone who practices divination and can decode characters as well, it was easy to deduce the name.”

Lawrence Winters put away her Five Emperors Coins, curling her lips, ”Moreover, the Earth Diagrams show that he is at his calm but thinking of action, suitable to go out, to a place he is familiar with.”

Evan Stetford found the number of a place where that person used to stay and called. Surprisingly, he got through...

”Then can you figure out where he went during those years he disappeared and what he has been doing?” Richard Stetford asked curiously.

”I can’t figure that out,” Lawrence Winters smiled and shook her head. ”This time, it was also a coincidence. Let’s put it this way, I’m currently helping a friend find an appropriate lawyer for an international lawsuit. When I was consulting online, many recommended him to me. Of course, they informed me that he had already disappeared for a few years.”
