Death… And Me

Chapter 4261: Interesting Endeavor

It goes without saying that the rest of the written content explained how the crystal worked and that the dead man had been using it before Roan stole it. Since the dead man’s body was still emitting a little bit of Godly Pressure, Tobao simply brought it close to his body and tested it out.

However, it didn’t work as written in Rean’s message. However, Rean also told him there was a specific way of using it. Otherwise, it would actually look like nothing more than an empty Godly Crystal. Tobao couldn’t help but wonder how Rean found that at all, but that didn’t matter now.

Sure enough, once he used it like Rean mentioned, the crystal absorbed the Godly Pressure coming from the dead man and released it as Yin and Yang energy. Their Sacred Relic can not search such a thing since... well... everything is made with those two energies.

Clauso, the Guild Master, looked at his subordinate who delivered the box. ”What about the guy who delivered this? Where is he? Tell me you didn’t let him escape.”

His subordinates had a terrible expression. ”Unfortunately, we don’t know. We checked the security cameras and sent our experts to look for him, but it is as if he vanished into thin air. We checked the lingering aura from his body and tried to match it with the IDs in our system, but there was nothing.”

”Shit...” Clauso felt like that was his guild’s fault. ”Keep searching. There must be some clue somewhere.”

Tobao wasn’t that interested. ”The important part is that they delivered it to us and showed how this guy got into our region undetected.” Then, he connected with his Ring Communicator and passed several orders. ”Done. Everyone working on the Sacred Relic site will be checked. If any of them has this weird crystal, we will find out.”

”Sir, the long-distance communication array is ready,” one of the guild workers said.

Clauso nodded and gave another order. ”Send the message with the entire content of what we found here. Tell everyone who gets this message to also contact us back with anything they know. Let’s hope we found it in time.”

The uncharted territories of the Godly Creatures expanded across areas millions of times larger than regions like Besgol. It was in one of those areas that an angel-like, small creature with a slightly red and golden body looked at a broken item in her hand. It was like a pearl, but completely cracked and devoid of energy.

Behind her, another Godly Creature, this time several times bigger and a mix of wolf and snake appearance, didn’t like what he was seeing. ”How did you mess up like this, Ranka?”

The angel creature glared back. ”I didn’t mess anything, Nazzun. The Spatial Ring with the Pressure Concealing Crystal was stolen while I was buying the materials.”

”That’s the very definition of messing up,” the wolf-snake said.

The angel-like was known as a Blood Seraphin, and this one was a Godly Tyrant.

Just like the Seraphin, the wolf-snake was also a Godly Tyrant, which explained their intelligence. In the wolf-snake’s case, he was a Viperscour Wolf.

”We came to this piece of shit place exactly because there wasn’t any danger. There were no risks of being found by those annoying bunch. And yet, you barely made it inside and already lost the body I worked so hard to build. Do you have any idea how annoying it is to make that? Worst of all, what if they find out about the Pressure Concealing Crystal? That thing is still being tested.”

Ranka wasn’t that concerned. ”Matters not. We can simply put the crystal inside the body itself next time. We only kept it outside because we wanted to test to see if it would work inside a Spatial Ring as well. Also, there is no way they will find out how it works, and it does look like a Godly Crystal for all that they know.”

”Last but not least, the Spatial Ring was stolen, and that definitely wasn’t because we were found out.”

Nazzun narrowed his eyes. ”How do you know we weren’t? It was your Spatial Ring that was stolen, after all. Perhaps they knew from the start that the body was being controlled.”

”It wouldn’t make sense,” Ranka explained. ”Why go through the trouble of stealing my Spatial Ring if they know that the body we used was being controlled by us? They can use the Sacred Relics to track everyone. They could simply ambush me somewhere else, and there would be nothing I could do. Yet, the Zone Gods only appeared after my Spatial Ring was stolen and the Godly Pressure came out.”

”Whoever stole my Spatial Ring likely had no idea what he was stealing. And after he looks into the Spatial Ring, all he will see is a few Godly Crystals and a Godly Crystal with a weirder shape. If he is smart, he will never tell anyone where he got that Spatial Ring, let alone the Godly Crystals.”

He was on point. Roan didn’t know anything, and he definitely wouldn’t tell anyone he was the one who stole it. However...

”Revealing it would be the same as revealing you stole it. Above all, it is the same as revealing you were in the Black Market. Last but not least, identifying the real use of the Pressure Concealing Crystal is almost impossible without the necessary knowledge and experience. The Pressure Concealing Crystal will definitely fall into obscurity and get ridden off. We are fine.”

Nazzun had his doubts, but he had to admit Ranka’s scenario was very likely to happen indeed... The Crystal didn’t work automatically. There was a very specific way to make it work. Besides, inside the regions, there is no Godly Pressure. Even if you knew how to make it work, it truly would look like nothing but a useless item.

Too bad they never expected that the ones to get the Spatial Ring were a group of very, very knowledgeable and experienced experts who totally figured out how to make the crystal work. A group that has a Sister Orb and a cultivation technique that could be run in reverse to create Godly Pressure just to test the crystal...

*Pin!*

[The Besgol Region’s Destiny has gone through an enormous shift. Once fated to be destroyed within a year, it now has a chance.]

[Orb Points Reward: 12]

Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky didn’t find that information the least bit comforting. ”Are you saying that we prevented this entire region from being destroyed?”

[Seems like it.]

”Countless lives, countless experts...”

[Yeap.]

”It now has a chance, which it didn’t have before.”

[Exactly.]

”And all we got was...”

”TWELVE ORB POINTS?!”

[Together with the 39 points you had before, that’s 51! Yay!]

”Yay!!! YOUR ASS!”

Roan had no energy to argue anymore. ”Collecting Orb Points to make the Aura God Level Cultivation Technique will be a very interesting endeavor...”

[Oh! By the way! This destiny shift was enough to unlock a new upgrade for purchase.]

”Sigh... I guess it is better than nothing. Let’s take a look at it.”
