Death… And Me

Chapter 4253: No Other Energy

The twins’ group was gathering the techniques, but they weren’t in a hurry before. Truth be told, if they put their all, they definitely could finish gathering in less than two weeks. They just didn’t have a reason for that. Now they do.

Between long nights and complaints of a bored Kentucky, the twins’ group passed all the information to Sister Orb. In the end, it only took them eight days to get everything they needed from the guild, the sect, and the network.

Of course, even though no technique is kept secret, there are techniques that are restricted due to special reasons, and those ones the twins’ group couldn’t get. Yet, they were almost nothing compared to the sheer amount available.

[Alright, I will now use 400 points to compile everything, match it all with the constitution of the four of you, and have it be compatible regardless of who is absorbing the energy. There will be no turning back once I spend the points. Are you all okay with it?]

’Yes!’ Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky said at the same time.

*Pin!*

With Sister Orb’s voice, the system now took over. Well, she was the system, but she kind of fell into a trance as the new technique was created.

[Yin and Yang, Dark and Light, Wood and Absorption...]

[Yin and Yang are the base of everything, thus integrating Wood and Absorption is possible...]

*Bzzz...*

[Experimental energy detected... match is possible...]

Then, Sister Orb went silent, but the twins’ group could see the Fake Control Orb shining so bright that it could probably light up an entire galaxy, and the brightness was growing!

At that moment, they saw it. The Echo! It was gathering around Sister Orb, but it wasn’t being absorbed.

The Orb was the manager of the Dimensional Realm, which, in this case, was the entire Vinx Great Void. The Dark and Light Element, as well as Wood and Absorption, mixed with that Echo Energy.

As it did, Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky felt The Echo that was mixed in their bodies stir. They were still uncertain about why The Echo managed to be present in the Celestial Plane. What they could tell was that it was the reason they could use Weapon Intents. Now, it seemed like it was capable of a lot more things than just that.

[Overall integration: 10%...]

[20%...]

[40%...]

The Echo and the Elements revolved, and anyone looking from outside would wonder if a star was taking form. Yin and Yang followed, and countless sparks of Red Lighting appeared out of nowhere before falling into the core of the phenomenon.

It was a good thing Sister Orb was in that empty location at the center of the Vinx Great Void. Had she been in a Universe, she might have caused serious damage or even destroyed it. The twins’ group could tell that Sister Orb was even more dangerous to a Universe’s laws and foundation than a thousand Balance Breakers put together.

[70%...]

[90%...]

[93.48%...]

[Limit of processing achieved. Adding Orb System Points.]

[Orb Points: 440]

[Orb Points Requested: 400]

[Integration restarted.]

[96.25%...]

[98.12%...]

[99.87%...]

[100%...]

[Overall Integration Complete!]

*Pin!*

[New cultivation technique available in the Orb System Upgrade List.]

As soon as Sister Orb’s robotic voice said that, everything disappeared. If one wasn’t here a second ago, they would never be able to tell what just happened.

[Phew...] Sister Orb felt relieved. [This was the first time I acted as the system for real. I can still keep my mind, and my will is what guides the process. Still, it feels more like I become a pure 100% logic existence that only cares about completing the task I set myself. It is quite weird. I had the power to stop at any point, though.]

Seeing that there were no side effects, Roan ignored everything and willed with his mind. Immediately, the Upgrade List of the Orb System was shown to him. Naturally, Rean and the others did the same.

[Echo Godly Absorption Yin Yang Cultivation Technique - Level One: 01 Orb Point]

”That’s a cool name,” Rean said with a smile.

Roan completely ignored the idiot and asked the obvious. ”Echo Godly?”

[Yes, Echo,] and Sister Orb answered. [During the process of creating this technique, I was able to connect our Great Void’s Echo with the Echo mixed in your bodies in the Celestial Plane. They are the same, after all.]

”Alright... and what’s the point?” Rean asked the obvious.

If Sister Orb could smile, she would be doing so right now. [Who said that only Godly Creatures can create Godly Energy? From now on, so can you.]

”What?! How?!”

[The Echo. The Godly Creatures use the Godly Pressure of the environment and merge it with Celestial Energy, creating Godly Energy. That’s where The Echo comes in. It acts as the bridge between the natural Godly Pressure and the Celestial Energy you absorb. It is like you have become Godly Creatures yourselves. You just don’t have a Godly Crystal in your bodies.]

Roan immediately noticed a problem. ”What about our Sky Celestial Energy?”

[It served its purpose,] Sister Orb didn’t dwell on that. [As amazing as Sky Celestial Energy is, it still loses terribly to Godly Energy. To reach the Anchor God cultivation level, only Godly Energy can be used. In any case, you wouldn’t be able to use Sky Celestial Energy for much longer.]

”Why?”

[Because the technique we created doesn’t allow it.] Sister Orb knew they wanted to keep using the Sky Energy Formation. [Once you get to the Anchor God Realm, the only type of energy you will be able to use is Godly Energy. That’s also why you are now able to create Godly Energy in your bodies on your own. You have no other alternative.]

[I’m not kidding when I say that you will become pretty similar to Godly Creatures. Godly Energy will be your main source, period. Of course, we might be able to create a new mix of energy in the future, but that is not now.]

That was a huge difference between the twins’ group and the rest. After all, even after reaching the level of Anchor Gods or higher, the experts of the Celestial Plane can still use Celestial Energy for battle, for example. Godly Energy is precious and hard to acquire for obvious reasons. Now, the twins’ group can create it on their own.

Naturally, they understood the implications of that ability, but Roan still warned the rest. ’Not one word about this. If anyone finds out what we can do, I doubt even the Besgol Region’s laws can protect us.’

Rean, Celis, and Kentucky agreed. That was a secret that had to be kept at all costs.
