Death… And Me

Chapter 3776: Wait, wait, wait...

Hura had no other choice. She simply had to accept Xian would go... or she could go herself. ”Then you stay, and I go with them!”

Xian was taken aback. ”What?! No! Who will take care of the little ones? I can’t do that! It is always big sister who puts them all in line. They will never listen to me.”

Rean and Roan looked at each other. They couldn’t say they trusted Xian 100%. After all, even if Rean can tell he is young and childish, who knows if he is hiding something? However, from what they had seen so far, he seemed trustworthy enough. It was especially so when he could have told Calanti and Tissal about the twins’ presence when they first met, but he hid the twins instead. As far as trust could be earned, Xian definitely did the most one could expect.

That wasn’t the case for Hura. They have only known her for a few minutes. And she was obviously well mentally developed... and didn’t like them. Would she just do as they say that easily and not reveal their presence on purpose? Even if she didn’t at first, what if they were found? She might try to offer them so she can survive. They have no connections, after all.

Of course, the twins’ thoughts reflected on their intentions, and the doubt reached Hura and Xian.

”What?” Hura narrowed her eyes. ”I don’t give a fuck if you don’t trust me. I still would rather put myself at risk than Xian.”

Xian once again refused. There was no point continuing this conversation. ”Big Sister, I’m leaving with them now. If you truly follow us, then you will be leaving the little ones alone. I trust you won’t do that.”

”You little rascal! That’s blackmail!” Hura complained again, feeling helpless.

Xian smiled. Yes, that was definitely blackmail, and he knew that. ”Wish me luck, Big Sister.”

”Sigh...” Hura could only give up. ”Fine! Where is that friend of yours? Probably inside your Pocket Dimensional Realms, right?”

*Zush!*

In the next second, Celis appeared in the room, knowing he wouldn’t be able to enter the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm for a while. ”You were right.”

He had several of Rean’s Light Devices attached to his branches. That was more than enough for him to use Rean’s Light Bending Skill. ”I’m Celis, a Demon Plant. I will also take this chance to test this Emotional Energy of yours. I know I can’t use it for cultivation, but as long as it is a type of energy, I should be able to deal with it.”

Hura obviously didn’t look very happy. ”Hmph! Then you’d better help deal with the aftermath of eliminating Calanti. You will have some work to do for a while.”

”You can count on me,” Celis said, not worried at all.

Following that, Xian took some of his Shadow Energy once again and covered Rean and Roan. As for Celis, Hura did the same to him. Only then did the Floating Black Sphere open again, allowing the group to come out.

”Big Sister, take care...” Xian hugged the girl.

Hura hugged him back. ”You are the one who should be careful. Don’t worry. I’m going to work this tree until its branches dry out, so I’ll be fine.”

”You know I’m here, right?” Celis couldn’t help but comment.

”Hmph!” And Hura didn’t care.

The two groups bid farewell, although the twins and Celis would still be able to maintain contact through Sister Orb.

’Wait, leave me here too!’ It was then that Foliana’s voice echoed in the twins’ ears.

’Hum?’ Rean and Roan were confused. ’Why the sudden change? Didn’t you say it would be a bad idea for you to help since you aren’t that strong?’

Foliana confirmed. ’Yes, but that was only the case if I was alone. Celis doesn’t have any Pure Yang Abilities, while I’m literally a Red Lightning Hawk bloodline owner. If Celis and I work together, we can do the same thing as you guys did, wiping out the enemies much faster. Besides, I’m tired of staying in the Dimensional Realm doing nothing. This place doesn’t have connections to the outside networks, so I’m unable to study history either.’

The twins looked at Celis. At the end of the day, it depended on whether he thought it was a good idea or not.

Celis understood Foliana’s intention, but he still had to ask. ’You do know that if things go south, we have no way to go back into the Dimensional Realm, right?’

’Yes!’ Foliana accepted it. ’I already made up my mind.’

’Did Tony agree?’ Celis asked. Tony, the Artifact Spirit that lived in Foliana’s Werdlem Divine Stone.

’He didn’t like it, but he can’t stop me either,’ Foliana spoke with a smile.

Tony was indeed feeling helpless. He hated danger more than anything else.

Celis pondered a bit and admitted Foliana’s pure Red Lightning would be a great addition to this mission. ’Alright, then stay here and help me out.’

With that decided, the twins informed Hura and Xian.

”Hum?” Hura was surprised. ”Another one? Well... sure... the more the better, I guess.”

*Zush!*

Foliana appeared straight away, and Hura was quite pleased. ”Oh! At least it is a girl. Good! I want to hear more about the outside world from a girl’s perspective.”

”You can count on me, Sister!” Folaina was more than happy to do so.

The twins shrugged. Since that was their decision, they wouldn’t go against it. Finally, they decided to leave. ”Alright, Xian, we are going out.”

”Wait!” Yet, once again, someone stopped them. This time it was Xian, though. ”Give me a second to concentrate.”

Xian’s body began to transform into the cloudy form that the Umbras used for fighting. However, he wasn’t going to attack anyone. Instead, half of the cloud gathered around Rean, while the other half gathered around Roan. After a few minutes, the Cloudy form disappeared, leaving Rean and Roan with a thick but compressed layer of Shadow Energy. Xian’s voice echoed from those two layers at the same time. ”I can’t hold senior Rean and Roan back, so this is the best I can do. This way, they should be able to move as they please without worrying about keeping me safe.”

Neither Rean nor Roan complained at all. ”That is actually very good. Alright, let’s go.”

Finally, no one asked them to wait this time, and they soon disappeared into the distance.
