Death… And Me

Chapter 3330: We Can Only Wait

In any case, Gian and Ralakia still left that area since thatʼs where Gian appeared and attacked Rean. That ended up being the right choice as other Space-Time Experts eventually came to investigate.

The small Tamers Guild elders didnʼt want to say anything, but when pressed by those experts, they had to spill the beans. Even as a branch of the Tamers Guild, it wouldnʼt be enough to just ignore the top experts of the continent. And, just like Gian predicted, Ridiaʼs existence was found out. Another Divine Parasol Tree, a piece of information that quickly spread to all the other Space-Time Realm experts wishing to take Gianʼs place once he leaves.

Rean and the others could guess this outcome, but they didnʼt really care. Gian brought his group far away from there, and Rean asked him to simply leave them in some remote location near the capital of the continent. Thatʼs where they intended to take the teleportation.

”Here, take it,” Gian threw a Spatial Ring to Rean and Kentucky. Inside, several thousand Rank Five Divine Stones could be found. ”This is not for you, but for Ridia. It would be ridiculous if you could bring her to the Elemental Space Realm but ultimately failed simply because you didnʼt have enough energy for her cultivation.”

Rea looked inside and smiled, nodding at Gian and Ralakia. ”This is indeed very convenient. Donʼt worry; they will be properly used.” Well, Rean was confident he could make the necessary amount, but these stones definitely would help.

Finally, Gian and Ralakia bid their farewells to Kentucky and Rean, opening a Spatial Gate and leaving the area before they were detected.

Rean had asked Gian and Ralakia if they couldnʼt open a Spatial Gate to bring them to the continent of Olanstel, where the Valames Valey was located. It was two continents of distance away, after all. However, Gian shook his head in the end. From the looks of it, the so-called blessing had its drawbacks. If he left the continent, he would lose it, and that was the perfect chance for them to be ambushed. Neither Ralakia nor Gian wanted to give anyone that chance.

Seeing the Spatial Gate closing behind Gian and Ralakia, the area became silent, and only Rean and Kentucky were left in there with Ridia.

*Zush, zush!*

However, Roan appeared in the next second, followed by Rifindio. Roan took a look at the little girl, who was still clinging to Kentucky. ”So the system wants us to help this one reach the Elemental Space Realm... It even offered another use of ʼThe Callʼ skill as a reward. Sister Orb, why is that?”

[No idea,] Sister Orbʼs voice echoed outside. [However, I donʼt think all quests must have a deeper meaning behind them. Perhaps this is indeed just the system giving you the chance to call Celis back since he will be of great help to the two of you.]

Rean and Roan looked at each other for a moment and snorted. ”AS IF!”

The system trying to help them for no reason? Ha! The Universe could be turned upside down, and they still wouldnʼt believe such a thing.

Regardless, neither Rean nor Roan could tell what the system had in mind to have them help Ridia reach the Elemental Space Realm. Sure, if the system truly wanted to only help them, that would be the best. They will have to give it a try and see what will happen later.

”Okay. First things first,” Roan continued. ”She has no knowledge, and it would be meaningless to try to train her since she canʼt even understand words yet. That said, it is time to reopen Sister Orbʼs teaching school.”

There was indeed such a thing back when the System Sect existed inside the Soul Gem Dimensional Realm. They had many members, and with the thousands of years going by, there were obviously many couples and kids being born. In the end, Sister Orb was tasked to teach them all.

[Ehhhh? Again?] Itʼs just that Sister Orb wasnʼt exactly very willing.

”Stop complaining and just do it,” Roan didnʼt give her a chance to refuse, though. ”The sooner we make this girl reach the Elemental Space Realm, the sooner we can use the call.”

Kentucky pondered a bit, raising his hand. ”Still... isnʼt this ʼThe Callʼ skill a random ability? Would it truly call Celis?”

Roan narrowed his eyes. ”Given the context of the quest, I truly canʼt think of anyone else the system would try to pull over. We have our other acquaintances, but they arenʼt that connected to us through the system. Only Celis is... and more or less Luan.”

To be more specific, Luan was indeed connected to the system but not to the twins. The connection Luan had to the system was due to the skill Rean and Roan bought, the Soul Gem Dimensional Realm Pass. That skill allowed Luan to pull anyone in and out of the Soul Gem Dimensional Realm, even without Rean and Roanʼs intervention. They used it to the fullest during the war, moving the entire army from one side of the Universe to the other and ultimately winning that final battle.

”I guess it makes sense...” Kentucky nodded. He then patted Ridia and sent her back into the Soul Gem Dimensional Realm. ”Sister Orb, you are the best at it.”

[You just donʼt want to bother with this teaching part.]

”That too!” Kentucky nodded shamelessly. He indeed didnʼt want to.

[Tch... Fine! Itʼs just one kid this time instead of hundreds of them. I guess I can spare a little bit of my attention to her for the sake of getting Celis back.] And so, Sister Orbʼs presence disappeared from outside, she focusing on Ridia back in the Dimensional Realm.

Rifindio, who had been quiet until now, couldnʼt help but ask. ”This connection between Divine Bird and Divine Tree can only be done with one of them, right? Kentucky mentioned losing his connection to this Celis after arriving at this Universe. But... if the system truly ends up pulling this Celis here, would Kentucky be connected to two Divine Trees at once?”

”This...” Kentucky didnʼt have an answer to that. ”I guess we can only wait and see.”
