Cursed Immortality

888  Mad King!

With the eyes of Judge, Jacob followed the powerful trail of energy, which was actually filled with the law.

Elia silently followed behind him with a hint of apprehension, but when she looked at Jacobʼs steady back, she greatly calmed down. Although she didnʼt know what Jacob planned to do by sneaking here, she trusted him completely.

With Elia in tow, Jacob weaved through the labyrinthine halls. Because of Myriad Galaxy Kingʼs recent actions, almost all the powerful experts were on the frontline or preparing to go there, so the security here was minimal.

Furthermore, because of the consumption of the protective barrier around the Myriad Galaxy City, the palaceʼs formations werenʼt working like they used to, so it became even easier for Jacob to infiltrate it. Moreover, who would be mad enough to go after a legendary king?

Finally, they reached a massive chamber at the heart of the palace. The air here was suffused with a potent, almost suffocating aura of authority.

The throne room was a vast expanse of dark crystal, its walls lined with towering statues of past kings. At the center of the room, a massive throne carved from starry black obsidian loomed, its surface inlaid with pulsating veins of gold and silver.

But this throne wasnʼt vacant; sitting atop it was an imposing being. His appearance was both regal and unsettling. His skin was ashen gray, etched with glowing red runes that seemed to pulse in time with his heartbeat. His long, wild hair spilled over his shoulders, a mixture of jet black and streaks of silver that gave him an almost feral look.

His eyes were perhaps the most unnerving feature—two orbs of molten silver swirling with madness and unrelenting fury. In contrast, a third vertical violet eye on his glabella was icy cold and filled with mystical charm.

His two eyes darted around the room, never settling on one spot for long, as if they were searching for threats where none existed. He was dressed in flowing robes of deep crimson, trimmed with dark gold, but the fabric was frayed and torn in places, a testament to his increasingly unhinged state. His fingers, tipped with claw-like nails, drummed incessantly on the armrest of his throne, each tap echoing ominously through the chamber.

This was the Myriad Galaxy King that belonged to Violent Witch Race! The Myriad Galaxy King exuded an aura of overbearing confidence, yet his entire demeanor betrayed a man on the edge—paranoid, restless, and utterly defiant in the face of the chaos outside his palace walls.

At this moment, Jacob, followed closely behind by Elia, stepped into the room; the Kingʼs silver eyes snapped to him instantly while his violet eye seemed to flash in a strange.

The Myriad Galaxy King was shocked when this unknown intruder suddenly stepped in this place without any fear or apprehension. Furthermore, seeing Jacobʼs ghastly skeletal face with his flaming pale golden eyes, his violet eye, which was his spiritual eye, sent him alarming singles.

What was even more alarming, the Myriad Galaxy Kingʼs spiritual eye couldnʼt measure the depth of Jacobʼs power in fact, it couldnʼt see anything but danger.

But Jacob was not a Zodiac Beast, and the Myriad Galaxy King knew those abominations wouldnʼt pull this kind of trick. He even suspects he is finally starting to lose his mind because of all the pressure, but Jacob is too real to be a nightmare, especially when he notices the elf girl hiding behind Jacob and glaring at him coldly.

Calming himself down, a sneer twisted his lips, revealing sharp, fang-like teeth, ”I wasnʼt expecting someone like you hiding in my city. Who are you, and why disturb the sanctity of my throne now of all the time?” the King growled, his voice booming with raw power. Despite his disheveled appearance, the force of his presence was undeniable.

Jacob remained silent, his eyes meeting the Kingʼs without flinching, and he also confirmed the Myriad Galaxy King wasnʼt as strong as Blackwell, in fact, he even detects a trace unknown law within the Myriad Galaxy King which seemed to be chaotic and corrosive. The Myriad Galaxy King was injured!

”I wasnʼt hiding here; in fact, Iʼve been here for just three weeks. So, I thought, why not pay my respect to the enigmatic Myriad Galaxy King, and here I am.” Jacob impassively stated while his soul force flickered without Myriad Galaxy Kingʼs notice. The Myriad Galaxy King didnʼt believe a single word of Jacob as he leaned forward, his eyes narrowing. ”Paying your respect? I know every one of Legendary Kings of Dark Beings, and you donʼt match any of them. But it doesnʼt matter, Iʼm willing to look past our factionsʼ enmity, and you waltz in here as long as you can work together with me, Iʼm sure we can get rid of those vile things.

”After all, since you showed your face here, itʼs probably because you are trapped here, and there is no way to escape. If itʼs an alliance you seek, Iʼm willing to consider it!” The Myriad Galaxy Kingʼs eyes shone with a maddening light as if he had seen hope to overcome this situation. He didnʼt even consider that Jacob was here to pick a fight because he thought Jacob was here asking for help since he was trapped here like everyone else.

Furthermore, Myriad Galaxy King was convinced that Jacob was a hidden legendary king of dark beings, drawn out because of Zodiac Beasts.

Jacobʼs eyes flickered with a hint of surprise because he never thought Myriad Galaxy King would be so obsessed with this city that even his mind seemed affected. He only seemed to be heard and comprehend what he wanted and nothing else, which was quite strange considering the Myriad Galaxy Kingʼs power rank.

But for Jacob, it was all the same since he knew the Myriad Galaxy King was already injured, and all he needed do was to wipe his soul enough until Autarch could take over.

”Youʼre not qualified to become my ally, for you neither have the power nor the mind. The only thing youʼre good for is to become a meal!” Jacobʼs voice was impassive, but his words instantly alarmed Myriad Galaxy King. His eyes shimmered with madness, laced with equal parts rage and delusion, but before he could react, Jacob suddenly seemed to turn into a streak of black light, and the next moment, he appeared right in front of Myriad Galaxy King and transformed back to his real form.

But his speed was so fast that Myriad Galaxy King couldnʼt even react, it was almost like Jacob has just travel with speed of light! However, it wasnʼt just Myriad Galaxy Kingʼs imagination because Jacob just traveled at the speed of light by using the aspect of Astral Transcendenceʼs fourth innate ability, Phase Shift!

This ability can not only allow him to step between light and space, enabling instantaneous movement through spatial rifts, but also shift between lights, and he can teleport to any visible location at the speed of light!
