Chapter 2571 Limitless Cultivation Technique

”Are you sure you want to stand there and waste time? You have… two minutes left to catch me,” Yuan said.

Wu Wang and Shi Fa gritted their teeth in frustration. Even though they knew they had no chance of catching him at this point, they didnʼt just want to give up and used whatever little energy they had left to chase after Yuan.

Unfortunately, not only were they exhausted, but they couldnʼt even sense Yuan after he disappeared into the void, almost as if he vanished from existence completely.

Two minutes… one minute… thirty seconds…

”And… timeʼs up,” Yuan said to them as he calmly emerged from the void, looking completely fine.

Meanwhile, both Wu Wang and Shi Fa were soaked in sweat and panting like dogs, completely out of breath.

”How… How is that possible?” Wu Wang questioned with a puzzled frown.

”What are you talking about?” Yuan asked.

”How come we cannot sense you when you use Void Control? We have never seen anything like that before,” he elaborated on his own confusion.

However, Yuan smiled and said, ”I would tell you… But that would break the contract, as youʼre no longer allowed to question me regarding the technique.”

”T-Thatʼs…!” Wu Wang opened his mouth to respond but quickly closed it again without uttering another word.

Shi Fa patted Wu Wang shoulder and shook his head, ”Forget it.”

He then turned to Yuan and spoke, ”Since youʼve won, we will pretend to have seen nothing, nor will we report you to the military.”

”But I must ask… are you really planning on joining the military?”

Since Shi Faʼs question had nothing to do with the contract, Yuan answered truthfully, ”I am, and I will be at the next recruitment.”

”Is that so?” Shi Fa mumbled.

A few moments later, Shi Fa and Wu Wang abandoned the match and left Gaiaʼs Sanctum without speaking another word to Yuan.

Now that he was alone and had narrowly avoided trouble, Yuan left the waiting room and made his way to the exchange machines to spend his Gaia Points.

Despite having a two-hundred-win streak, Yuan had only managed to accumulate a little over six thousand and five hundred points.

ʼIs it even possible to obtain enough points for the most expensive items through matches alone?ʼ Yuan wondered as he went to look at the cultivation techniques category.

After reviewing the list of cultivation techniques again, Yuan purchased one for 1,000 points rather than the cheapest option.

Rather than acquiring a physical manual for the technique, it was directly transferred into his mind.

ʼAs I thought… this technique allows humans to cultivate Limitless in the traditional method without the system!ʼ Yuan smiled inwardly after reading through its contents.

Although this technique may be pointless to the cultivators of this world who solely rely on Gaiaʼs Cultivation System, Yuan wanted to bring it back to the Nine Heavens and see if the humans of his world could cultivate Limitless through it.

However, there was one major problem.

The Limitless Cultivation Technique he had just purchased for a thousand points was only one part of several available ones. In fact, there were three other parts, all available on the exchange.

Yet, as far as he could tell, he didnʼt need the other three parts to start cultivating Limitless.

ʼWhat will change with the other parts?ʼ Yuan wondered inwardly.

Unfortunately, the next part required 10,000 points, and he had only a little over 5,000 left.

”Hm? Wait a second…”

Yuan suddenly thought of something.

ʼAlthough I am limited to a hundred matches a month… does it apply to every single mode, or is it simply just One Above All?ʼ

Yuan approached a worker and asked, ”If I have reached my monthly match limit for One Above All, does it affect the others, such as Last Man Standing?”

”No, each mode has its own limit, so if you finish all hundred matches for One Above All, you can still do another hundred matches for Last Man Standing,” replied the worker.

Yuanʼs eyes widened at this new information, kicking himself inwardly for not asking earlier, as he couldʼve earned many more points by now.

”Thank you.”

Without wasting any more time, Yuan immediately made his way to Last Man Standing, as he still had about two weeks before his monthly reset for One Above All.

While he waited for matchmaking, Yuan recalled what Mei Xiaoyun had told him about the mode, where a hundred players fought in an arena until only one remained.

A moment later, Yuan found himself back in the colosseum where he played tag with Wu Wang and Shi Fa not long ago. But instead of only three participants, there were a hundred this time.

ʼHm?ʼ

Yuan raised an eyebrow when he realized that everyone there was at least in the Fourth Ascension, with a few even in the Fifth Ascension.

Since his ranking in One Above All does not carry over to other modes, he should be unranked right now, so it was a bit surprising to see so many cultivators who would be in Expert rank in One Above All for his first match.

Unbeknownst to Yuan, since Last Man Standing was much more difficult than One Above All, most people tend to wait until they are at least Expert in One Above All before trying the mode.

Regardless, it didnʼt matter to Yuan.

The match began half a minute after everyone was teleported to the arena. Immediately, it was as though a war had erupted, with dozens of people clashing at once, their Limitless spewing in every direction.

ʼI should refrain from using Void Manipulation to avoid unnecessary trouble,ʼ Yuan thought to himself, as he did not want more soldiers going after him before the recruitment.
