Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Although the creation of the spiritual water river in the sky had nothing to do with her breaking through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm, the Soul Ascension Realm or directly bypassing said realms to directly step into the Dao Seed Realm in a single step through some unknown method she had come up with herself, it was clear from the comprehension of both the Dao of Water and the Dao of Chaos, that she should be more than capable of easily entering the Dao Domain Lord Realm if she wanted to. However, though he wanted to step forward and remind her of this as he saw the situation outside had stabilized somewhat, he decided against it and felt leaving things for her to settle on her own was for the best and would turn out to be the most beneficial for the sect.

One such example being the heavenly river of spiritual qi that she had just created in the process of creating a new home for the little floating blob known as Baobao.

After all, the sky spring that was included with the creation of the heavenly river now present above the Seventh Star Peak was comparable to that of the high-grade qi spring within the qi spring lake below… And while the quantity of spiritual water from the sky spring was in no way comparable to the qi spring lake, the fact that the sky spring was comparable to a high-grade qi spring meant that a vast quantity of spiritual water was still being produced. Far more than what the seven branch rivers splitting off from the Seventh Star Peak could handle.

Because of this, though a portion of the spiritual water flowing out of the sky spring formed a smaller river of spiritual water that fed into the now half empty qi spring lake at the center of the Seventh Star Peak, a majority of the spiritual water was ultimately being used to slowly carve out four new branching rivers of spiritual water in the sky above the Shattered Star Peaks.

Of course, with the circular heavenly river having only just been established by Mui, these branching rivers had barely taken shape and only a small slowly expanding bump could be seen on four different parts of the circular heavenly river. After all, compared to the rivers below whose channels had already been carved out by the sect, the channels in the sky were far more difficult to establish and consume a vast quantity of spiritual water to create and anchor properly.

The one positive was that these channels anchored in the void didn’t need any assistance from anyone and followed the predetermined guidance layered within the circular formation. Allowing the heavenly river to essentially expand on its own.

In other words, from this day onwards, the Star Shattering Sect gained a new heavenly river that was slowly expanding throughout the Shattered Star Peaks. The only real cost of this new heavenly river being a lack of spiritual water for the sect’s alchemist over the next few weeks as the now dry channels that had once been filled with spiritual water were filled up again.

A cost that was more than worth it in the eyes of elders and disciples alike, as the addition of the heavenly river above not only made the sect more mystical and allowed those proficient in the Dao of Water an easier time comprehending the Dao of Water by observing the heavenly river, but also concentrated the spiritual qi within the Shattered Star Peaks even further, causing faint spiritual rain to form in the areas below the heavenly river from time to time. Allowing the plants who found themselves immersed in the spiritual rain to rapidly increase in quality, causing wild spiritual herbs to emerge throughout the Shattered Star Peaks in areas covered by the spiritual rain.

Of course, that was more so for the future, but for now, the ones who benefited the most from the emergence of the heavenly river outside of Mui whose comprehension of the Dao of Water and the Dao of Chaos had both sublimated and reached a brand new realm, was none other than the group of disciples who had been dragged over by her against their will to participate in the creation of this grand formation that had now turned into the circular heavenly river above.

Among these disciples, every single one who had been at the Qi Condensation Realm before managed to successfully step into the Foundation Establishment Realm with many of them managing to establish more than a single foundation pillar within their dantian by the time the heavenly river fully formed.

But outside of these hundreds of disciples who had managed to benefit from being at the center of the vast quantity of spiritual water as it transformed into a heavenly river, the ones who benefited the most were none other than the seven leaders appointed by Mui to take charge of one branching river each.

Not only had they been able to absorb a vast quantity of pure spiritual qi from the surging spiritual water. Rapidly increasing their cultivation, but they had also been able to unconsciously borrow the strength of the Dao of Water to stabilize their foundation and allow them to go far further than others, the most extreme example being none other than He Jie, who clearly felt as pillar after pillar of bright blue colored qi formed inside his dantian before a grand total of nine foundational pillars formed inside his dantian through the mysterious guidance of the Dao of water. Not even giving him the time to marvel at his new strength before the foundational pillars in question collapsed on their own and formed a small blue colored core inside his dantian. Signifying his breakthrough to the Core Formation Realm.

From beginning to end, everything was outside his control and he could only marvel as his cultivation went all the way from the Qi Condensation Realm to the Core Formation Realm in a single effortless step while a subtle connection and awareness of the Dao of Water formed inside his head, something that unknown to him meant that his future path towards comprehending the Dao of Water to reach the Domain Lord Realm would be an extremely simple endeavor.

Of course, He Jie wasn’t the only one to benefit in this way, as the six other disciples who took on leader positions similarly broke through to the Core Formation Realm and established a similar mysterious connection to the Dao of Water. The one who went the furthest being an inner disciple who had already been at the Core Formation Realm ahead of time who ended up jumping all the way from the First Stage of the Core Formation Realm to the Late Stage of the Core Formation Realm. Stepping into the Seventh Stage of the Core Formation Realm.

Unfortunately, after everyone calmed down from the excitement of everything that had just happened, He Jie and the rest found themselves faced with a problem none of them had thought of beforehand… And that was how in the world they were supposed to get down on their own…

After all, Mui had already turned and left after ensuring that the heavenly river was stable to pick up Baobao and get ready to move him, while the elders below were still in a state of amazement and wonder over what had happened.

They… As disciples who hadn’t even reached the Nascent Soul Realm, had no way to get down from the heavenly river and a few had to struggle to even stay above water, as sinking even a few meters down would mean passing through the relatively shallow bottom of the heavenly river and result in falling straight towards the ground below… And while part of the heavenly river was only a few hundred meters above the Seventh Star Peak, the rest of the heavenly river had a several thousand meter drop, something even a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator couldn’t survive.

Splash! Splash! Splash!

Because of this, it didn’t take long before the group of disciples who found themselves in the heavenly river far above the ground began using all their strength to swim towards the only part of the heavenly river connected to the ground, the section that had directly split from the circular heavenly river and connected back to the qi spring lake at the center of the Seventh Star Peak.

Even if they couldn’t make it the entire way to the qi spring lake, they would at least be able to make it close to the ground where a fall wouldn’t end up with certain death.

”…”

Watching this, Feng Chen who had been ready to drag the disciples down from the heavenly river and safely place them back on the ground couldn’t help smiling wryly to himself as he watched the chaotic scramble as the over three hundred disciples attempted to fit on the still relatively thin connection between the circular heavenly river and the qi spring lake. Deciding to just leave the situation for these disciples to handle on their own while he caught the ones that slipped up and fell out through the bottom of the heavenly river.
