Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Of course, though Elder Song had been unaware of the situation at the start, when the circular formation had first appeared, he immediately found out about it and rushed out to see what was happening. Realizing almost the second he stepped out of his courtyard that the one behind the commotion was none other than Mui.

However, compared to the last time around where she had ended up flooding half the sect and had left most of the Seventh Star Peak in ruins, this time around, Feng Chen had stepped in and successfully prevented any damage to the disciple abodes that had barely been standing for a few years.

In other words, though initially worried when he emerged, Elder Song soon enough found himself calming down significantly after realizing that the sect hadn’t suffered any damage and only the branching rivers formed by the overflowing spiritual water had been affected by the circular formation created by Mui this time around. Although… The entire situation made him immensely curious about what Mui was planning to do with those branching rivers. Especially given how she had seemingly dragged in a little over three hundred disciples to assist her in forming the formation.

Rumble~!

A question that he didn’t have to wait long for, as he saw the vast quantity of spiritual water contained within the seven rivers, suddenly reaching a breaking point before starting to flow backwards. Gathering at the locations where the disciples forcibly recruited by Mui were located before flowing upwards towards the circular formation above following the path that had been created by the light shooting up from these disciples, causing the circular formation above to slowly become a circular river of spiritual water that circled the Seventh Star Peak level to the peak where the sect was located. An odd yet beautiful sight at the same time.

This strange sight continued for a good fifteen minutes as the circular river of spiritual water became increasingly dense and formed a truly vast river more than a hundred meters wide by the time all the spiritual water from the seven branching rivers were swallowed by the circular river in the sky.

Still, it was clear that this still wasn’t enough, as following the original paths of the seven rivers that branched off from the Seventh Star Peak, the circular formation began drawing spiritual water directly from the qi spring lake at the center of the Seventh Star Peak. Draining more than half of the spiritual water that was stored inside before the circular river in the sky finally seemed to have reached its limits. Allowing the qi spring lake to start refilling itself once again.

It was at this point that even Xuan Hao, who had begun the process of absorbing one of the earthly treasures obtained from the ascension realm tower detected the change taking place outside… And given that he hadn’t truly started to break through to the Late Stage of the Land Creation Realm yet, he decided to send out a bit of his divine sense to investigate what was happening, as the concentration of spiritual qi had directly dropped due to the sudden absence of spiritual water.

”What in the world is that girl up to…” And the sight before his eyes caused him to become speechless for a good few seconds, as he stared up at the more than a hundred meters wide river made entirely from spiritual water that had slowly ascended upwards and started floating a few hundred meters above the peak of the Seventh Star Peak following its completion.

The disciples who had been dragged into joining the creation of this vast formation having flowed upwards alongside the spiritual water as it ascended and now found themselves spread throughout the hundred-meter-wide circular river. Forming a complicated network that helped stabilize the river and prevent it from breaking apart.

Of course, different from everyone else observing what Mui was doing, his comprehension as a Land Creation Realm cultivator was significantly higher. Allowing him to grasp the intentions behind the formation being established by Mui.

First of all, her saying this formation would be helpful to those who lend a hand wasn’t wrong, as the vast quantity of spiritual water flowing around caused the concentration of spiritual qi to reach a terrifying level that directly caused a few of the ones at the Qi Condensation Realm to breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment Realm on their own, while those who acted as cores essentially found themselves baptized by the rich spiritual qi that directly elevated their soul and cultivation in accordance to the Dao of Water. Forming an incredibly pure foundation as a few even directly broke through to the Core Formation Realm under the gentle and subtle guidance of the Dao of water. Not having to do anything as they broke through.

Impressive as this was, it was only something that could happen for a short time as the circular river formed and didn’t really have much benefit to someone like himself. In a sense, it was an opportunity that was only truly valuable to juniors below the Nascent Soul Realm, as from the Nascent Soul Realm onwards, the benefits wouldn’t be anything close to as amazing, as it would at most allow them to breakthrough a minor realm or two.

Still, this wasn’t the goal of the circular heavenly river that by now floated a little over two hundred meters above the Seventh Star Peak where it had finally come to a stop. Instead, it could only be considered a secondary effect, as the true effect of the circular formation keeping the circular river in place suspended above the mountain peak was to establish a permanent river in the sky that could give birth to something similar to the qi spring found within the qi spring lake. Allowing this heavenly river that now only circled around above the Seventh Star Peak to expand and spread throughout the Shattered Star Peaks in the future.

The reason behind the creation of such a heavenly river wasn’t too difficult to guess either, as he knew almost the second he realized what this little disciple of his was up to, that this was her creating a new living space for Baobao, the little floating blob she had created in the past.

Having nothing to do with her preparing for a breakthrough like he had originally thought she had been preparing for.

Although, as the one at the very core of this vast formation, Mui still benefited immensely from what she was creating, as by the time the formation officially anchored itself to the void and a sky spring formed below the section of the heavenly river Mui was in, her comprehension of the Dao of water clearly elevated beyond the Domain Lord level and directly reached the Elementary Realm.

Not just that, but a strange new Dao also manifested alongside the elevation of her Dao of Water, a Dao he hadn’t encountered before and one he couldn’t put his finger on what exactly it was outside a clear sense disorder as he attempted to sense the fleeting presence of this Dao that had quickly vanished a second later.

Luckily, he still had his system, so he immediately switched to check on what had changed in her panel to see what this strange Dao was that she had comprehended just now…

✧ Fourth Disciple, Mui ✧ Race: Human Talent: 81 Comprehension: -93

Dao: Dao of Water (Elementary Realm), Dao of Chaos (Elementary Realm) Potential Dao: Dao of Water, Dao of Darkness, Dao of Ice, Dao of Space, Dao of Chaos Physique: Desolate Ancient Moon Physique (Dormant) Realm: Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm Profession: Blacksmithing (Abysmal), Formation Master (Abysmal)

Cultivation Mantra: Myriad Water Art Ignoring the fact that her comprehension had somehow become even worse than before, he slowly focused on the new Dao that had emerged beside the Dao of Water, the Dao of Chaos, a Dao that he understood close to nothing about, but at least knew was one this disciple of his had a talent for, something that was easy to tell even without the assistance of the system panel.

Only now, it was clear that she had truly grasped this mysterious yet powerful Dao during the establishment of this heavenly river- or rather, new home for Baobao.

Meaning, though he could only sense the presence of the Dao of Water within the formation and heavenly river above, the Dao of Chaos was undoubtedly involved in some way that he just couldn’t clearly comprehend even with his cultivation at the Middel Stage of the Land Creation Realm.

Then again, he guessed that it might have to do with the creation of the sky spring that seemed to function similarly to a qi spring in how it could create spiritual water from nothing, as that was the only thing that eluded his senses regarding the heavenly river formed alongside this sky spring, as the circular formation itself wasn’t anywhere near as difficult to comprehend as the earlier formation she had used to upgrade the qi springs in the qi spring lake.
