Chapter 51: Chapter 50: Picking Up the Car Chapter 51: Chapter 50: Picking Up the Car April 24, 2023, Monday, cloudy, 8~13°C.

At 6 AM, Tang Song was awakened by his excellent biological clock.

He changed into sportswear, drank a cup of warm water, went to the bathroom, smiled, and started his daily aerobic exercise on an empty stomach.

After breakfast, he rested a while and then did half an hour of posture training.

Tang Song packed up his stuff and took a taxi to the Yan City Baode BMW 4S Store.

Due to the distance and the rush hour, it took nearly half an hour to reach the destination.

As he walked through the sensor-activated glass doors, a saleswoman immediately came up to greet him, “Good morning, sir, how may I assist you today?”

“Is Yu Qiuna from the sales department here? I have an appointment with her.”

The saleswoman shouted in one direction, “Nana, your client is here!”

Yu Qiuna, who was standing behind the counter, hurried over, a twenty-something with a pretty face, short hair, dressed in a black ladies’ business suit, looking very spirited.

Tang Song directly pulled out his ID card from his pocket and handed it over, “Hello, I am here to pick up my car.”

Yu Qiuna took the ID card, glanced at it, her heart skipped a beat, and her expression immediately brightened, “Mr. Tang! Please wait in the rest area for a moment. I’ll arrange the car pickup procedure for you right away.”

“Thank you.”

Tang Song sat down on a large sofa in the corner, his gaze sweeping over the spacious and luxurious showroom, and the dazzling BMWs.

He imagined his own BMW 330i Nightshade and couldn’t wait to see its true form.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Yu Qiuna quickly approached, leaned over and whispered, “Mr. Tang, your car has arrived at the delivery area. Let me take you there.”

“Thank you.”

The brightly lit delivery area was adorned with various flowers, balloons, and accessories, and a car covered in a black dust cloth rested silently there.

The smooth and natural lines of the car were faintly visible, filled with a unique aesthetic.

Yu Qiuna smiled and said, “Mr. Tang, would you like to personally lift the dust cloth? I can take a photo for you.”

“Thank you!” Tang Song nodded lightly, as it was his first time experiencing a car delivery ceremony and he found it quite novel.

He grabbed the soft-textured dust cloth and pulled it back forcefully, revealing the shiny black car body gradually.

Situated directly under the lights, the BMW 330i radiated a profound gloss, resembling obsidian, both steady and grand, yet elegant and dynamic.

The broad grille complemented the sharp headlights on both sides, delivering a strong visual impact.

The black paint made the body lines more distinct, enhancing the smooth and refined appearance.

Tang Song took a deep breath, feeling his heartbeat accelerate.

“This is a standard axle 330, 2.0T 245 horsepower, rear-wheel drive.

Carbon black exterior with volcano red interior, very beautiful.

360 panoramic view, 16 Harman Kardon speakers, head-up display, Blue Brow headlights…

Fully loaded optional parts, 19-inch smoked black aluminum alloy wheels, driving assistance system, winter package, comfort package…”

Tang Song listened to the saleswoman’s description while inspecting the car inside and out.

After confirming there were no issues, he signed the acceptance form promptly.

Suddenly, a cheerful voice came from behind, “Sorry Mr. Tang, I am late!”

Tang Song turned around and saw a man in his thirties approaching, wearing a suit uniform, tall and well-proportioned, with meticulously styled hair.

Upon seeing him, Yu Qiuna tensed up, quickly bowed, and greeted, “President Zhao!”

Realizing who it was, Tang Song also understood that this must be President Zhao, the one who had helped him arrange the car from another location.

President Zhao’s face showed a warm smile as he extended his hand, “Hello Mr. Tang, I am Zhao Wenyu, the sales director of Baode Automobile Sales Service Company in Yan City. Thank you for trusting our dealership. If there’s any shortcoming in our service, please forgive us.”

“Hello, President Zhao.”

The two shook hands lightly and exchanged a few pleasantries.

Zhao Wenyu then gave him a detailed introduction to the car again, and added, “To ensure Mr. Tang gets his beloved car as soon as possible, we specifically contacted the headquarters to arrange a vehicle from Rong City with the same specifications and color you chose. We hope it meets your satisfaction.”

“Thank you, I’m very satisfied.”

“You’re too kind! We have internal channels here to take care of the license and insurance before noon; if you’re not busy, you might want to visit the second floor’s relaxation area. There’s billiards, a cinema, massage chairs, coffee, and snacks.”

Tang Song glanced at the time and smiled, “Alright.”

Zhao Wenyu did not stay long; he was tactful in his approach, made a good impression, showed his face, and then left.

In the relaxation area on the second floor, Tang Song was pleasantly surprised to find a large bookshelf.

It was neatly filled with numerous literary works and fashion magazines.

After browsing for a while, he picked “The Old Man and the Sea,” sat in a massage chair, and started reading intently while sipping on the coffee handed to him by a salesperson.

After a good while, his phone suddenly rang.

Tang Song put down the book, took out his phone, and saw it was a local landline number.

He answered the call.

A sweet voice came through, “Hello Tang Song, this is Tian Jing from the Human Resources Department. Is now a good time to talk?”

Tang Song raised his eyebrows, “Yes, It’s fine.”

…

Jinxiu Commerce Co., Ltd.

Tian Jing sat in her office, her leg nervously shaking as she pondered how to begin the conversation.

This was her first time doing such a dishonorable thing since being promoted to payroll supervisor, and truthfully, it was quite difficult for her to overcome her moral reservations.

After hesitating for a long time, she opened WeChat and entered a group called “Beautiful in the Second Dimension.”

They were discussing the styles of cosplay costumes.

She directly messaged, “Help, help! @Qingqing @Yunyu, senior workplace experts, I need help! Something has happened!”

Since it was during working hours and her tone was urgent, she quickly received replies.

[Qingqing: “What’s wrong, Jing? Is someone at the company bullying you?”]

[Sisi: “Could it be workplace bullying? Even as a student, I shudder to think.”]

[Tian Jing: “I’m now in charge of payroll management, and the head of the technical department wants to ‘knock’ a regular employee down a peg. The management has asked me to talk to him; if he agrees to a 10% pay cut, he can stay; otherwise, he must leave immediately. I feel this approach is despicable and can’t bring myself to say it. What should I do?”]

[Yunyu: “Haha, isn’t that just typical of a ruthless leader? Jing! Are you really going to be a part of this cruelty!?”]

[Tian Jing: “But… it’s my job, approved by our HR director. I’m sure there will be more of these cases in the future. It’s troubling! How can I bring it up in a way that it doesn’t hurt him too much?”]

[Yunyu: “Maybe you should wear a maid cosplay outfit to talk to him; that might heal his wounded heart.”]

[Sisi: “I have one with high slits, @Jing do you want it? Only 99 yuan including shipping!”]

…

Many mocking replies followed, with mentions of tails, bells, and straps.

Tian Jing blushed and angrily typed on her keyboard, “Yikes! Real-life irritants, all of you shut up! I’m talking about serious stuff! @Qingqing, aren’t you managing dozens of people at the company? Boss, teach me your ways!”

After a long wait, Qingqing finally replied.

[Qingqing: “You could start by expressing your admiration and fondness for his character and abilities, lavishly praise his strengths, chat with him as a friend to help him relax, and then gradually reveal your true intent. With the approval of a cute girl like you, I believe he’ll take it much better.”]

Tian Jing read it twice and felt somewhat reassured.

She picked up the phone from her desk and dialed.
