Chaotic Sword God

“What a profound secret technique. Initially comprehending the Hundred Superimposition Sword would require the strength of an Immortal Emperor or even Immortal Exalt…” Jian Chen was secretly amazed. It took him great effort before he finally managed to steady his mind, enduring the sensation of dizziness that came with the first fragment. An obscure and indescribable truth entered his mind.

“It’s too difficult. Probably even Immortal Exalts won’t be able to grasp this technique before the closing of the Skyscraping World given the level of truth it touches on.” Jian Chen furrowed his brows deeply. The difficulty of comprehending the Hundred Superimposition Sword had surpassed his imaginations.

“The Hundred Superimposition Sword is indeed difficult to grasp, but once you do grasp it, the benefits are immense.” The Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s voice rang out again in the chaotic space, filled with sentiment and emotion. “In the past, the Profound Sword Qi invented by the old senior from the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens shocked both the Immortals’ and the Saints’ World, striking fear into the hearts of many Grand Exalts. I never grasped the Profound Sword Qi, but I can say with confidence that the power of the Hundred Superimposition Sword will definitely surpass the Profound Sword Qi once it has been mastered to the utmost level!”

“Is it you that’s speaking, senior sword venerable?” Jian Chen shuddered inside.

“My lingering will is already close to its end. It will completely dissipate very soon. Originally, I wanted to guide you here in my final moments, but I never thought you would find this place yourself, which saved me a lot of effort.”

“Don’t talk. Don’t ask any questions either. I really don’t have any time left…”

“Listen up. You must gain a basic grasp over the Hundred Superimposition Sword. Even if you fail this time, you must come here the next time that the Skyscraping World opens, as it is indeed an extremely profound secret technique of the Way of the Sword. It is so powerful that even the Authority of the Grand Exalt grasped by disciples of Grand Exalts come nowhere close…”

“Although I could only use the secret technique up to the eighth superimposition, I only ever used the eighth superimposition once in my life…”

“That was during the war with the Saints’ World. I was encircled by three Ninth Heavenly Layer Grand Primes. With no other choice, I used the Hundred Superimposition Sword.”

“In the end, that attack alone slew three experts at the same cultivation as me. Even though the three Ninth Heavenly Layer Grand Primes were not the most powerful there were, with a drastic difference compared to the Saint Monarchs of the Saints’ World, neither the Saint Monarchs of the Saints’ World nor the heavenly emperors of our Immortals’ World could kill a cultivator of the same level in a single attack, much less three of them…”

“Following that battle, I realised that even with just the eighth imposition, I was already no weaker than heavenly emperors.”

“However, if you grasp this technique, do not use it so easily. Once you do use it, do not leave anyone alive, just in case someone begins to covet it.”

“As for the stone tablet that recorded the Hundred Superimposition Sword, I had set up numerous restrictions in the past, withholding many details. It will be very difficult for others to find out about all the secrets regarding the Hundred Superimposition Sword, but I will hold nothing back with you and share everything that I know.”

......

…

“In order to carry out my promise with the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor, the Skyscraping World has exhausted a tremendous amount of spiritual Qi. At this rate, even with my boundless wealth and resources, the Skyscraping World probably won’t be able to last for many years. As a result, I have a request for you, which is to destroy as many medicinal gardens in the Skyscraping World as you can.”

“These medicinal gardens set up by the various organisations of the Immortals’ World have already become tremendous parasites, accelerating the decline of the world…”

“I also requested for the daughter of the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor, Xing Caijian, to do this, so she will cooperate with you. Of course, if you refuse, that’s fine too. After all, doing this will cause you significant trouble. You don’t have Xing Caijian’s background. If those organisations come for revenge, it’ll be very difficult for you to fend them off with your current capabilities.”

“Time is up… The final wisp of lingering will that I’ve left in this world is about to dissipate completely. This is a bit of my understanding of the Hundred Superimposition Sword from when I was alive. Although this understanding doesn’t even come close to one ten-thousandth of what I was capable of when I was still alive, this is all I can do now…”

After the Skyscraping Sword Venerable said that, Jian Chen’s mind suddenly cleared up. It felt like everything had sunk into silence as time came to a standstill. His surroundings became quiet.

Vaguely, he seemed to sense that some information and memories had entered his head. They were very profound, containing the comprehension of the ways and the usages of the laws…

Vaguely, he seemed to see an elderly figure roam through the world, traverse through space, training the sword arduously in different places, in different situations, and in different environments.

Jian Chen knew that the figure in his head was the Skyscraping Sword Venerable in his early days.

Back then, the Immortals’ World did not possess a Skyscraping Sword Venerable. He had yet to reach his peak cultivation either. In order to grasp the Hundred Superimposition Sword, the Skyscraping Sword Venerable had spent an extremely lengthy time and endless effort before mastering the basics.

At this moment, Jian Chen felt like he had become the Skyscraping Sword Venerable from back then, experiencing everything he had gone through in the past through a different method.

Of course, without any exceptions, all of these experiences were connected to the Hundred Superimposition Sword.

Under this state, Jian Chen forgot about time. He could not sense the passage of time at all. During the time he spent merged with the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s memories, it felt like countless years had passed, yet also like only a split second had passed. In the end, when Jian Chen roused, he had already absorbed and digested all of the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s understanding towards the Hundred Superimposition Sword that he had left behind.

Jian Chen’s understanding and comprehension of the Hundred Superimposition Sword immediately increased significantly.

It was just a pity that the understanding from the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s lingering will was less than one ten-thousandth of when it was complete.

Trying to grasp the Hundred Superimposition Sword successfully through this was clearly a little far fetched.

“The Hundred Superimposition Sword is actually using the same move a hundred times at the same time before completely merging these one hundred attacks into one…”

“With my current speed, I can complete a hundred attacks in a split second even if I don’t use the Laws of Space. I can even do it a thousand times. However, no matter how many attacks I unleash, each strike is independent. The power behind each attack is fixed as well. Even when I can merge the countless attacks into one through speed, that’s only a visual effect.”

“Meanwhile, the Hundred Superimposition Sword is truly merging all those attacks together, such that their power becomes stacked together…”

“The eight superimpositions that the Skyscraping Sword Venerable could achieve in the past was actually merging together eight attacks, such that the attack becomes eight times more powerful from its very foundations…”
