Celestial Beast Taming

Chapter 151: Chapter 108: Crying Moon Goddess

It would consume more of a Deceit Holder’s Soul Power, reducing the number of Bizarre they could control.

And a Deceit Holder’s value was measured by the number of Bizarre their Moon Eyes Bellflower controlled.

Deceit Holders would also instinctively choose the most advantageous type of Contract for themselves.

Lu Tu had just mentioned that after a Mythical Tier Bizarre appeared in the Evil Blood Sect, this Mythical Tier Bizarre was willing to lead the Evil Blood Sect in surrendering to Starlight City.

Yan Han was quite suspicious of this, but he didn’t oppose the decision Lin Zhuo had made.

However, during their future cooperation, Yan Han would definitely assign people to keep a close watch on the Evil Blood Sect.

As the Director of the Ghost Suppression Bureau, Yan Han frequently dealt with Bizarre.

Yan Han didn’t discriminate against Bizarre in his heart, but he could only trust those Bizarre that were controlled by Deceit Holders.

Furthermore, the Deceit Holders who controlled these Bizarre had to remain within the Hidden Moon Division.

Any Bizarre not controlled by a Deceit Holder, no matter how obedient, was a ticking time bomb in Yan Han’s eyes.

”Since the Sleep Emperor’s proposal has already passed, we just need to implement it.”

”How a Celestial Destiny Seeker chooses their six-person squad is entirely up to them. We have no say in it.”

”The six-person squads of Guardian Beast Masters from all the academies in Starlight City, including Starlight Academy, must simply include at least one Bizarre.”

”If we want to push this through, we can’t take a gentle approach.”

”I will contact Xu Zhi. As the principal of Starlight Academy, he will spearhead this jointly with the Ghost Suppression Bureau.”

”As for the battle for city resources, there’s no need for our Ghost Suppression Bureau to get involved.”

”We can leave it to Xu Zhi and the Tomorrow Society to decide together.”

At this point, Yan Han’s gaze fell upon the four Deceit Holders with Deceitful Moon Badges: Lu Tu, Chen Yin, and the others.

”I know what you’re worried about.”

”This incident caused by the Purifying Moon Sect Bizarre will indeed affect the citizens’ attitude toward Bizarre.”

”But it’s already happened, and it’s difficult to take back.”

”Once the policy of having the Bizarre you control join the six-person Guardian Beast Master squads is implemented, the integration between Bizarre and Guardian Beast Masters will surely be promoted.”

”To get Guardian Beast Masters to accept Bizarre, we not only need to change their views on Bizarre, but more importantly, we need them to personally experience how Bizarre can help them.”

”When the Bizarre and Guardian Beast Masters in a six-person squad become comrades-in-arms who protect each other in Secret Realms, the whole of society’s acceptance of Bizarre will be greatly enhanced.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Yin was the first to nod.

Compared to human Guardian Beast Masters, as a Deceit Holder, Chen Yin could be said to be among those who understood Bizarre the best.

Bizarre, when compared to Guardian Beast Masters with Lifebound Guardian Beasts, have both advantages and disadvantages.

The disadvantage is that Deceit Beast Masters cannot form Contracts with new Guardian Beasts like Guardian Beast Masters can.

The advantage is that, at the same potential rating, a Deceit Beast Master’s Deceit Beast is stronger than a Guardian Beast Master’s Lifebound Guardian Beast.

Moreover, a Deceit Beast Master who has awakened a Deceit Beast also has an easier time acquiring a Talent than an ordinary Guardian Beast Master who has awakened a Lifebound Guardian Beast.

In fact, Deceit Beasts also have the opportunity to grasp Rule Authority by devouring Rule Deceit Embryos and Order Beasts.

But a Guardian Beast Master’s Lifebound Guardian Beast cannot.

Furthermore, a Deceit Beast grows faster than a Guardian Beast Master’s Lifebound Guardian Beast!

When a Bizarre joins a six-person Guardian Beast Master squad, even if this Bizarre isn’t the strongest at the time of joining, its Deceit Beast Master can kill Demons during explorations in Secret Realms and use them as fodder to strengthen their Deceit Beast.

It wouldn’t take long for them to become one of the strongest members of the six-person squad.

Among the four Deceit Holders present, so far only Chen Yin and Lu Tu had participated in the discussion after paying their respects to Yan Han.

One of them, an exceptionally beautiful woman in simple clothes, first fiddled with the emerald green Deceitful Moon Badge on her chest, then spoke.

”Lord Shun Lan, Lord Wei Re, although this incident has affected the image of Bizarre that all of us Deceit Holders have been working together to maintain...”

”But among those two Mythical Tier Deceit Beast Masters, one of their Deceit Beasts possesses the Power of Rules.”

”Killing her will yield a Rule Deceit Embryo. I want to know how you two lords will decide the ownership of this Rule Deceit Embryo.”

At this, the Bizarre in simple clothes paused for a moment before continuing.

”I forgot to report it, but my Moon Eyes Bellflower recently succeeded in lighting up its sixteenth round of Moon Eyes Flowers.”

”I would like to apply to you two lords for the right to use this Rule Deceit Embryo.”

The words of the woman in simple clothes caused a slight change in the expressions of Chen Yin, Lu Tu, and another male Deceit Holder dressed in gold clothes.

Lu Tu spoke first.

”He Shiyi, there are a total of twelve Deceit Holders with Deceitful Moon Badges in our Starlight City. If the other eight weren’t coincidentally in seclusion, this meeting wouldn’t just have the four of us.”

”Did you even consider what the others might think when you directly applied for this Rule Deceit Embryo?”

”I suggest that any Deceit Holder who wants this Rule Deceit Embryo should bid for it using our internal Contribution Points.”

”Highest bidder wins. That’s the only fair way!”

It wasn’t just He Shiyi; the other Deceit Holders present with Deceitful Moon Badges also had their eyes on the Rule Deceit Embryo that would be formed after Qin Ruyue’s Deceit Beast died.

A Rule Deceit Embryo had a high probability of allowing a compatible Bizarre to master the Power of Rules.

But something like a Rule Deceit Embryo was just too rare!

Each Rule Deceit Embryo was equivalent to the remains left behind after the death of a Celestial Destiny Seeker’s Order Beast.

Even Chen Yin really wanted to obtain this Rule Deceit Embryo. It was just that before the Bizarre who wielded the Power of Rules was killed, she hadn’t planned to bring it up.

She never expected that He Shiyi would actually propose to monopolize the yet-to-be-obtained Rule Deceit Embryo during this meeting.

Hearing this, a displeased look appeared on He Shiyi’s face.

”Among all the Deceit Holders in our Starlight City, I was the youngest to obtain a Deceitful Moon Badge.”

”Besides, I’ve also lit up my sixteenth round of Moon Eyes, which is enough to rank me in the top eight among all Deceit Holders in Starlight City.”

”Among the Deceit Holders present, besides Chen Yin who has lit one more Moon Eye than me, and Jin Qingchen who has lit the same number as me, you, Lu Tu, have lit one fewer Moon Eye than I have.”

”But you’re all more senior than me and have been Deceit Holders for longer.”

”A Deceit Holder’s Contribution Points are earned based on the contributions made by the Bizarre they control.”

”The amount of Contribution Points I have as a Deceit Holder is definitely less than other Deceit Holders with Deceitful Moon Badges.”

”Holding an auction based on internal Contribution Points is what’s truly unfair.”

”The most talented should get priority for the best resources. What’s wrong with that?”

Lin Zhuo and Yan Han exchanged a glance, and both saw a hint of helplessness in the other’s eyes.

He Shiyi was forty-three years old this year and was indeed the youngest Deceit Holder in all of Starlight City to have obtained a Deceitful Moon Badge.

Furthermore, less than four years after becoming a Deceit Holder, she had made her Moon Eyes Bellflower bloom with a new Moon Eyes Flower.

It was just that ever since becoming a Deceit Holder, He Shiyi fought for everything.

After obtaining her Deceitful Moon Badge, she didn’t get along well with the other Deceit Holders who also had one.

This wasn’t the first time something like this, with He Shiyi proactively fighting for resources, had happened.

However, this could only be attributed to He Shiyi’s personality.

From the perspective of a Deceit Holder’s duties, He Shiyi performed very well.

Just like the other Deceit Holders with Deceitful Moon Badges, she had made great contributions to Starlight City.

Now, He Shiyi was proposing to distribute this Rule Deceit Embryo based on the level of one’s Talent.

Lu Tu, on the other hand, proposed to auction it off using the Deceit Holders’ Contribution Points.

Both methods of distributing the Rule Deceit Embryo were actually fine.

Celestial Destiny Seekers received a massive amount of resources from a Heroic City precisely because they had awakened an Order Beast and grasped Rule Authority.

But regardless of whose distribution method Lin Zhuo and Yan Han agreed with now, it would displease another Deceit Holder with a Deceitful Moon Badge.
