Beneath the Red Dragon

On one hand, these orderly elves can hold the line beside those giant legions still in a chaotic phase, and on the other hand, they assist the low-level officers of the Golden Empire in helping the Multi-armed Giant, Mogyes, reorganize and restructure the legions of giants and monsters.

These legions of kings are more or less influenced by the Golden Empire, not only in the combined reorganization but also in the communication and liaison systems being established.

King Mogyes, the Multi-armed Giant, sat slumped with a gloomy face on a stone throne crafted from piled rocks, gazing at the restructured Frost Giant legion disappearing from his sight, then looking at the giants, giant subspecies, and various monsters being restructured and trained by the low-level officers of the Golden Empire in the valley plains, and couldn’t help but spit.

”Pah, without comparison, I wouldn’t have felt any difference, but with comparison, I feel like twisting off the heads of these fools.”

”I left the restructuring to your warrior instructors, you should have those instructors be a bit harsher, and if any refuse to obey, just chop their heads off,”

Mogyes muttered angrily, ”With me here, any giant daring to rebel, I’ll personally take them out!”

As the earliest multi-armed giant to undergo preparation, Mogyes’s legion was ironically the last to depart, and the reason was convincing to him.

Because if these giants and monsters spiraled into chaos uncontrollably, the aftermath would outweigh their contributions on the battlefield.

White Dragon King Gomot has now reached his adolescent peak, his size reaching twenty meters, but compared to the mountain-like stature of the Multi-armed Giant Mogyes, his size is more comparable to that of a young dragon.

Gomot looked at the foolish giants, somewhat flustered under the commands of the Golden Empire’s instructors, and couldn’t help but curl his tusks into a grin, saying: ”King Mogyes, this is a very normal thing; those giants and monsters are still not accustomed to being constrained by order,”

”Slaughter is just a means, not the end; those giants and monsters who are perpetual failures will be restructured by the Empire’s instructors, and when the time comes, let them be the first wave of attack, a way of making use of waste!”

The Multi-armed Giant nodded, crossing his four arms and watching coldly.

The Golden Empire does not expect these giants and monsters to form an orderly army in a short period, but the wiser giants selected by the empire’s instructors, under the name of Giant King Mogyes, were granted the title and authority to command the various organized units.

With these smarter giants overseeing, the vast majority of giants and monsters would know in battle when to advance upon hearing the command, and when to retreat upon hearing the slogan.

Whether to attack left or right, it would be enough.

Aside from these restructured giants and subspecies monsters, many weak monsters were cutting down trees under the guidance of the Elf Legion, using the wood to craft simple shields.

The making of these shields was so crude that merely applying a layer of grease to dry slightly, then binding one or several layers of sturdy beast hide with the ancient vines from the forest would suffice to make a serviceable heavy wooden shield.

Even with the production capabilities of the Golden Empire, it was insufficient to fully arm the Frost Giant Legion and the Multi-armed Giant Mogyes’s legion.

Even though Multi-armed Giant Mogyes paid a hefty sum of wealth plundered from the Cloud Giant palace, it could only buy arms for a legion of three thousand elite giants.

Mogyes, under the pretext of an alliance with the Golden Empire, extorted the territories of the Evil Giants and Death Giants, barely scraping together enough armaments for two hundred elite giant warriors, highlighting the backwardness of the civilizations in the Divine Forsaken Mountain Range.

If not for the war preparations with scant time remaining, Mogyes might have even conquered those Evil Giants and Death Giants, compelling these high-level giants to march south.

And with the addition of the weaponry from the Cloud Giants, Mogyes could arm a total of seven thousand ’elite’ warriors, with the remaining Giant Warriors only able to use homemade weapons and defensive gear.

But having seen the orderly appearance of the Golden Empire’s army, Mogyes felt something was wrong with his legion, always feeling an uncommon vexation for such a proud giant.

Thus, Mogyes always sensed a mocking undertone in White Dragon Gomot’s upturned smile.

”Liam, that guy, never worked so hard under me,” one of the heads of the Multi-armed Giant stared straight ahead, while the eyes of the other surveyed the Ancestral White Dragon, ”Your Golden Empire certainly knows how to win a dragon’s heart!”

White Dragon Gomot shook his head carved like frost, the slender dragon horns glistening with a rainbow light under the sun.

He laughed and said: ”Dragons should indeed gather with dragons, just as King Mogyes should indeed command all giants in this Divine Forsaken Mountain Range.”

Mogyes was very pleased by this flattery, for Gomot was known as a legendary Dragon King within the Golden Empire.

So the giant asked: ”How is that guy Gogomola, although he hasn’t shown it, I can sense his state isn’t very good,”

”If he needs help, I can lend a hand, as long as you give me a discount next time!”

Of course, Mogyes wouldn’t easily become friends with dragons, even though they might have the same goals at present, and perhaps in the future, they might be friends with the same aspirations.

As the advocate and leader of the Alliance of Kings, only Karon Gogomola and the Golden Empire could act as the bridge and lubricant of trust and cooperation among the kings.

Each king knows the cosmic plane outside the Icaria World is almost infinitely vast, but they have been trapped by the marsh of Icaria for too long.

Only Karon Gogomola had the remarkable boldness to unite the kings and walk out of this mire.

White Dragon Gomot shook his head and softly said: ”That guy Karon, he always has his own plans, but he didn’t tell us, so I suppose it’s nothing important.”

”That’s good,” Mogyes gazed at the vanished banner in the distance and suddenly laughed: ”That guy was right, the storms of the world bear our generation, I can’t wait anymore.”

”I and that guy Gogomola will be there in person, and I want to see who can stand against us in the Northern Continent!”
