Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 982: Chapter 412: This Is Exactly What Our Eternal Light Sect Does_2

Wick grabbed the torn opening of the gown, reached out and forcibly ripped it apart, revealing his body.

From the chest to the abdomen, the front of his upper body was sewn with a large patch of pale skin.

Compared to skin, the texture of the pale area was more akin to rock; on closer inspection, the lines on the skin surface vaguely formed a face.

The face moved in sync with Wick, as Wick chewed and swallowed food, it too was swallowing something.

Han’er found the face somewhat familiar, on the night of the falling moon, this face seemed to have emerged on the crashing moon.

Han’er stared at Wick in shock, unable to believe it:

”What have you done?!”

Wick showed a fanatical expression and said:

”You should have guessed it. When the Eternal Pure Light shattered the First Miracle, a fragment of the moon fell to the ground.”

”I sewed it onto myself, and I can feel its presence, it’s been telling me that I’m right.”

”I have been waiting for this opportunity, waiting for thirty years, now, I will become it!”

Han’er saw the fanatical Wick and understood what had happened.

On the night of Blood Moon Eternal Life, for some unknown reason, the Great Sage had brought the moon crashing down to the ground, intending to crush Sirena, but was stopped by Erin.

A piece of the shattered First Miracle was obtained by Wick, and as the most devoted follower of the Great Sage, Wick had sewn the Great Sage’s fragment onto himself.

Through this connection, he could communicate with the Great Sage to some extent.

No wonder Wick had always believed that miracles and the Extraordinary would return over the past thirty years.

It turned out that Wick had been not normal from the beginning.

Han’er sighed, understanding now that mere words could not persuade Wick to abandon his plan.

To stop Wick, he would have to take action.

He stood up, picked up the Light of Steadfastness beside him, and said in a negotiating tone:

”Wick, you and I are both old, can’t we leave the future to the people of the future and give up your current plan?”

Wick threw the knife and fork into the plate, reached for the napkin beside him, and wiped the grease off his mouth.

”Han’er, I always thought you were special, and I always thought only you could understand me. But now it seems I was wrong.”

”Han’er, what is it that you want?”

Holding the Light of Steadfastness, Han’er walked towards Wick, ”I want the Transcendent and Sirena to disappear from people’s memories together.”

Wick frowned, ”The Eternal Pure Light you believe in is a True God, how dare you have such thoughts?”

Han’er showed a helpless smile and said, ”You might not believe it when I tell you this, but I told this to the Eternal Pure Light, and It said it doesn’t mind what I choose to do.”

Wick was stunned, and a moment later, envy appeared on his face.

”What an enlightened God. If I were you, I would never squander such Divine Grace.”

”Indeed, the wealthier people are, the less grateful they seem to be.”

Wick also stood up, with a casual wave of his hand, overturned the ten-meter-long dining table towards Han’er.

Han’er swung his hammer forward, smashing the table into two parts, evading the table’s crash, while remaining wary of Wick’s subsequent attack.

But even as the table hit the ground, he didn’t see Wick attack. He looked at Wick and found Wick had no intention of fighting him; after overturning the table, Wick had already rushed out of the Divine Hall.

Han’er, hammer in hand, pursued Wick. By the time he reached the front of the Divine Hall, Wick was already standing in the plaza outside.

Around Wick were kneeling worshippers looking up to the sky. With Wick’s appearance, the pain of the worshippers doubled, and their prayers turned into wails.

Seeing this, Han’er questioned, ”Wick, when the Great Sage created the First Miracle, he didn’t sacrifice so many ordinary people!”

Wick wasn’t influenced by Han’er’s questioning. He said:

”Of course not, if I were to use ordinary people as sacrifices, why wait for Thompson to bring worshippers to Sirena?”

”They are not offerings but spectators, witnesses to the birth of the new Great Sage!”

Wick pointed to the sky, signaling Han’er to look up.

Han’er raised his head and saw that the moon in the sky had descended to a mere hundred meters above the ground.

The gap smashed open by Erin was facing the Spirit Medicine Cathedral.

Wick continued, ”They will witness me mending the broken moon, bringing back the First Miracle for the worshippers, and reviving the era of the Extraordinary!”

After finishing his words, Wick’s body began to levitate, as he had said, moving towards the opening in the moon.

As Wick began to invoke the miracle, under its effect, the pain in the worshippers’ bodies transformed into ecstasy, their screams gradually turned into moans of pleasure.

Wick must be stopped!

Han’er knew that if this continued, once the First Miracle was restored, there would be no need for White Wolf to take action, and the decline of the Transcendent in Mikel Kingdom would end.

But before he could approach Wick, two or three dozen people rushed out from around the Divine Hall, attacking him suicidally.

These people were Wick’s hired servants, not Transcendents, but under Wick’s and the Blood Moon’s transformation, their bodies twisted into enhanced undead, with combat strength comparable to Transcendents.

Even fighting many alone, though Han’er wielded the Light of Steadfastness, it was difficult to win easily.

No wonder Wick wasn’t worried about him interrupting the miracle.

Relying on the Divine Hall’s terrain, Han’er engaged in evasive combat with the undead. Even if the Light of Steadfastness took down one with each swing, by the time he eliminated two or three dozen undead and re-entered the outdoors, Wick had already merged with the broken moon, slowly ascending into the sky.
