Bear School Astartes

After all, Tishaya is an ancient mage who learned and grew under the first group of mages to master chaos magic power.

The years she has accumulated magic power surpass the history of most countries today.

Margaret’s exceptional talent is undeniable, but Tishaya’s talent is equally impressive.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been chosen and taught by those terrifying ’first-generation mages’ who had just come into contact with chaos magic power and mastered it.

Expending magic power to sustain the acceleration process of an experiment is hardly a task that requires much thought for her.

”Refer to experiment A-37 for the process.”

Lann, while still busy writing and sketching on his notepad, issued commands adeptly, controlling the progress of the experiment.

Philixia Koli, on the other hand, clearly had not adopted the common indolence of female sorcerer apprentices; otherwise, Tishaya wouldn’t have chosen her as an assistant for the experiment.

When Lann mentioned the experiment number, she smoothly began her work.

Under Philixia’s floating spell, a bone powder-like substance and a pile of fragmented Valerian steel particles the size of beans were gently placed into the cultivation tank.

During this process, Lann took a moment to lift his gaze from the notepad, watched as both items were securely placed, and then continued his writing and sketching.

The bone powder was scraped from the Muddy Stream·Destruction.

The material scraped from the white blade is equivalent to the white spines on the surface of the Extinct Dragon.

The Valerian steel particles specially crafted to bean size by Belengar were Lann’s adjustment from the last experiment, aimed at increasing the reaction area.

Both substances entered the cultivation tank, and then Philixia brought a fluid using the floating spell, which was the growth solution configured according to Lann’s guidance.

The fundamental role of the growth solution in the crystal cultivation project was to restart the division and proliferation of cells that had lost their regenerative ability due to excessive functionality.

This was the determined technical route after Lann brought back dragon bone and configured the initial version of the growth solution.

The data stream on the retina cascaded down like a waterfall, and Lann focused his attention on each formula and data.

He sharply identified key nodes in the data and placed particular emphasis on them.

Mentos’s formidable computational power was temporarily diverted from ’analyzing Curse Fire’ and dedicated to the current experiment.

”Execution progress 98%...99%...Execution complete, sir.”

The final data stream was finished, and Mentos changed the display format projected onto Lann’s retina.

It transformed from a mass of data into a three-dimensional image.

It was a small bundle of metallic wires, intertwined like plant roots.

[Tendon Coil], also known as [Inner Steel].

The second procedure in Primaris Space Marine surgery.

It was also the first time Lann used the technology from the crystal cultivation project to cultivate this special organ.

This enhanced organ was different from all previous ones.

Because its essence is actually self-replicating nanomachines, although Lann used the biomass of the Extinct Dragon to realize ’self-replication’ with the super-regenerative ancient dragon material.

However, the main body of this enhanced organ remains the inorganic Valerian steel.

The crystal cultivation project was designed to cultivate bodily tissues, meaning biomass. Introducing control over inorganic materials in this process...the technical leap is indeed significant.

Even with Lann’s biological technology and talent, it was by leveraging the Valerian steel’s high fusion ability with biomass that he achieved this step.

And in this process, there were many failures.

One could even say that this experiment was Lann’s most failed since entering the research field.

But fortunately, he felt...it was time for success.

The data organized by Mentos was refined and extracted by Lann, finally flowing onto the notepad with a series of fluid writing and sketching.

He tore off the recorded sheet with a ’rip’ and handed it to Tishaya behind the desk, ready to channel magic power.

”The parameters are here.”

Lann smiled and said.

”I think the success rate this time will be high.”

Tishaya took the sheet, nodding as she examined the data while simultaneously furrowing her brow.

”You introduced... inorganic material in the crystal cultivation experiment? As a tissue enhancement structure?”

This was the first time since her return that her experimental progress aligned with Lann’s.

Prior to this, she had no idea that the demon hunter had advanced the experiment to this extent.

They were already introducing inorganic enhancement structures into the cultivated organs?

The crystal cultivation experiment was initially aimed at achieving ’limb regeneration’ alone.

But during the initial research phase, Tishaya and many participating researchers foresaw that the project’s potential far exceeded these boundaries.

The intention behind ’limb regeneration’ boils down to ’rectifying shortcomings.’

A person lacking an arm regains one, a person lacking legs regains them...

However, if the development of things were merely so rigid and monotonous, it wouldn’t be able to give birth to such a magnificent world.

Viagra, too, was originally just intended for men with fertility issues to ’supplement’ themselves to a normal state.

But when men who were already normal discovered that Viagra was also effective for them, even enhanced their abilities beyond the so-called ’ordinary’ level, this led to the continuous prosperity of Viagra in the Alchemy Market.

The augmentation of female charm with Magic Cream is the same.

Even the great noble of Kovir, who had his genital area injured by a demon and subsequently removed to prevent infection, emphasized during communications before experimentation,

hoping that his size could be increased ’just a little bit’ during cultivation.

The Crystal Cultivation Plan can be used to enhance certain human functions, as envisaged by many research participants like Tishaya.

Installing metal scaffolding in the body to enhance strength is something warriors have dreamed of.

However, major merchants and nobles who can truly influence the progress of experiments with their demands and investments basically do not need this kind of ’warriorization’ transformation.

They tend to use this technology to live more comfortably and longer.

Whereas those enhancements that can increase combat prowess often fail to achieve these, instead making the body feel more exhausted, troubled, and shortening life span.

So besides Lann, no one else has followed up with research in this area.

And even Tishaya had only a simple and crude vision for this research direction.

For example, embedding a metal shim crafted by a skilled blacksmith when constructing an arm.

Letting the flesh automatically wrap the metal, fixing it to the exterior of the bone to increase resistance.

Yet she never imagined that, in Lann’s research, inorganic and organic materials had already seeped and coordinated with each other to such a precise degree.

But Tishaya no longer cared to be surprised, because the experiment was already operational.

The pure crystal beneath the culture tank began to glow faintly, and the runes on the interwoven rune cloth pressed underneath the crystal started lighting up one by one.

Tishaya held the parameter chart handed to her by Lann in one hand, while the other hand was raised, facing the table where the experiment was proceeding.

The Roaring Bear Head Pendant around the demon hunter’s neck began to move vigorously, as if dancing on his chest.

Vast amounts of Chaos Magic Power were being infused into the experimental apparatus through Tishaya’s hand.

Meanwhile, Lann sat on one leg on the desk in front of Tishaya, arms crossed, watching the reacting culture tank not far away.

Precise magic power control, precise alchemical design, precise growth solution configuration, precise integrated calculation...

He had calculated all experimental conditions to perfection.

Technology and effort would not betray him.

Lann watched the gradually forming entity inside the culture tank, a barely perceptible curve of a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

With the vast magic power of Tishaya as a catalyst, the reaction process was greatly accelerated.

Bone powder originating from the Extinct Dragon began to seep into bean-sized steel particles, and then, the steel particles were elongated and formed by the extending Extinct Dragon material.

They transformed into a tangled mass of steel wires resembling plant roots.

The air in the laboratory faintly trembled, and even though Tishaya’s magic power was not woven into magic but was simply being output, the amount was overwhelming.

The Chaos Magic Power, which caused aberration and lethal danger to living organisms and made them uncomfortable, accumulated in the room.

Even Philixia, the female warlock apprentice, or Lann, the demon hunter,

Both users of Chaos Magic Power felt an instinctive aversion.

If an ordinary person were here, they would probably experience vomiting, muscle spasms, mental confusion, and even bodily deformities in the future.

And the release of Chaos Magic Power, which made the air tremble, quickly came to a sudden halt.

Because according to the parameters Lann provided her, Tishaya was supposed to do so.

Her meticulous character ensured every step was within the planned framework.

The discomforting magic power vanished.

”Was the experiment successful?”

Tishaya stood up from her chair, neatly arranging the papers recording experimental parameters on the table.

Only then did she circle the desk and walk forward.

The gigantic magic power output seemed to be no burden to her.

”Yes.”

Lann also got up from the edge of the table and walked toward the experiment platform.

With a keen sense, Philixia used the Floating Spell to retrieve the experimental outcome from the culture tank.

The small bundle of metal wires dripped with a growth solution that had turned as clear as water due to the exhaustion of effective substances.

Lann stepped forward, holding the [Inner Steel] in his hand.

He carefully and precisely pulled a few strands of the metal wires.

”Single-strand tensile strength is as expected, form is as expected, metal exhibits biological resilience and memory... Fully qualified.”
