Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2089: Opening

”I was actually a bit envious of those kids under me, who could go out on missions, even just to relax; it was still better than staying in the clan and having to show my face outside from time to time, so bothersome.”

Cheng Liujin sat by the table, holding a smooth metallic sphere in each hand, which he constantly manipulated in his palms.

Those who knew this Golden Order Leader understood that this was a habit of his before battle, intended to enhance his feeling.

”Enough from you, someone like me who has nothing to do myself and whose subordinates also have nothing to do is truly bored, okay?” White-Robe said irritably on the side. As he spoke, he then looked at Cheng Liujin and said, ”Old Cheng, how about I warm up with you? To give you a good state tomorrow?”

Cheng Liujin did not even blink his eyelids and simply ignored White-Robe.

The two Star-Eye Clan adults sat at the head, watching the two Order Leaders bicker below, and found it quite amusing.

Tomorrow was the Brave Trial, and the Star-Eye Clanʼs high-level members had gathered here for a meeting.

Compared to the Huaitang Clan, who were as if facing a formidable enemy, the Star-Eye Clan, clearly in a disadvantaged position, seemed not to take it seriously at all, and no one appeared nervous.

”Have we experienced so much suffering these years that, the more we encounter such things, while other races would be on full alert, we act as if itʼs nothing?” Star Adult looked at everyone and laughed self-deprecatingly.

”I think itʼs because we have experienced too much suffering, and the God of the Universe, seeing us pitiful, sent down a savior for us.”
Eye Lord sighed slightly, his eyes full of emotion.

At other times, perhaps the entire clan would also be as Star Lady said, everyone not caring much, because they had too many experiences of treating tomorrow as the last day, always prepared for death and annihilation, as if it had become a habit for the Star-Eye Clan people.

But now it was really different; they also knew that after tomorrow, many clansmen would die, but the Star-Eye Clan would not fail. This was a relaxation born of confidence.

Especially after learning that the Huaitang Clanʼs top three experts would not participate in the battle, the Star-Eye Clanʼs high-level members were even more confident.

”Yes, it is our luck.” Even Bashilu, who was almost never serious or smiling, expressed his inner thoughts.

Sometimes, he even wondered just how bad the luck of the Taros Red Dwarves was to have missed someone like Ye Zhongming.

”According to the time calculation, we should be able to receive the news before tomorrowʼs Brave Trial, right?”

Lady Star suddenly asked, looking at Cheng Liujin.

The Gold Order Leader nodded. ”The Huaitang Clan thought that making a big show of transporting grain would be enough? Could it be that people were watching them all the way along the way? They imagine themselves to be too important; even in Dark Strip City, they do not hold such status now. I think many races are eager to see the show, to see if anyone will attack the Huaitang Clanʼs grain transport team this time.”

This time, the Star-Eye Clan still decided to attack the Huaitang Clanʼs grain transport team. However, those making the move were no longer the bronze-masked warriors but the more powerful gold-masked warriors.

”They all think we will send the combination of the Clan Leaderʼs Guard and the gold-masked warriors for the Brave Trial. When they discover it tomorrow, they will be greatly surprised.”

Cheng Liujin shook his head and swayed, imagining the expressions of the Huaitang Clan tomorrow, and felt a bit secretly pleased.

The Star-Eye Clan was indeed on the verge of annihilation before; every aspect of the clan was barely sustained.

However, after all, they had existed in the universe for too long, which, while not extinguishing their fighting spirit, gave them the final determination for a desperate gamble.

Many people believed that the Clan Leaderʼs Guard was the Star-Eye Clanʼs most powerful combat team. Yes, that was correct; they were indeed the most powerful, a level higher than the Gold Camp.

But the outside world misunderstood their numbers.

Outside, it was believed that the Clan Leaderʼs Guard only had a few hundred people, definitely not exceeding five hundred.

But the fact was that the Star-Eye Clanʼs Clan Leaderʼs Guard, up to now, had two thousand and thirty-four people.

That is to say, for tomorrowʼs Brave Trial, there was no need for the gold-masked warriors to appear at all; the Chieftainʼs Guard going to battle could fully meet the numerical requirements.

Their average Furelai might not be as high as the Huaitang Clanʼs, but it definitely exceeded forty-five thousand, only about five thousand lower than the Huaitang Clanʼs!

Even if there was still some gap compared to them, it would definitely not be too large.

And the two Star-Eye Clan chieftains, along with Cheng Liujin and Bashilu, would serve as the arrowhead and sharp blades in battle. They would also give the Huaitang Clan guys a big surprise.

”Although confident of victory, we must also check the things needed for tomorrow. Without those, we cannot win.”

Eye Lord reminded everyone, especially Bashilu. As the training commander and also the person in charge of the Clan Leaderʼs Guard, he would also serve as a commander in tomorrowʼs battle.

”Alright, letʼs stop here for now. Shall we go see that kid Zhongming?” The two Star-Eye Clan adults stood up together. These days, they had seen Ye Zhongming only a few times and knew he was conducting research. But tomorrow was such an important day, and as one of the three major Order Leaders, he needed to be present.

Perhaps that would be the most glorious moment for the Star-Eye Clan in recent years.

The group checked the time; there were still a few hours before their departure, just right to go see him. So everyone went to find Ye Zhongming.

Arriving outside Jikesuʼs exclusive workshop, they stared wide-eyed, finding the door locked. They tried knocking, but there was no response at all. White-Robe and Cheng Liujin sent communications to Ye Zhongming and Jikesu, respectively, but they were also like stones sinking into the sea, with no answer.
