Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2067: Going towards death to live

A huge mass of semi-transparent substance appeared in mid-air from the diagonal rear, descending in a violent manner towards the position where Xia Lei was located.

This mass was too large, like a huge mountain peak. Within the semi-transparent substance, numerous ferocious monster faces were roaring angrily at the Cloud Peak lifeforms below!

Because this mass was excessively huge and suddenly appeared in mid-air, the entire Mei City could see it.

Even wrapped in certain substances, its formidable presence, as if the sky were collapsing, couldnʼt be ignored!

The entire Mei City erupted in massive exclamations.

No one expected the enemy to attack in this way.

How did they appear there? What ability did they use? Falling from such a height, wouldnʼt they die from the fall?

And... the place they were falling towards... was the location of Cloud Peakʼs headquarters!

”Guang Yao take command!” Xia Lei only managed to transmit this message before the massive semi-transparent substance exploded. Countless green-skinned demon monsters descended from the sky, instantly covering the location of the headquarters.

Many Cloud Peak teams instinctively wanted to reinforce; many warriors were on the verge of madness.
Until now, Cloud Peak had a very proud point: after over eight years in the post-apocalyptic world, although many excellent warriors had sacrificed, the core members of the villa had never had a death record!

After the first top-tier lifeform in Cloud Peak emerged, no top-tier lifeform ever encountered trouble either.

Even in the regional war, similar to a unification war, no faction was worth Cloud Peak deploying more than three top-tier lifeforms!

But now, in the area attacked by these monsters, there were too many important existences.

There, an entire core team!

There, a total of four top-tier lifeforms!

There, all members of Cloud Peakʼs staff department!

There, also... Xia Lei.

After Ye Zhongming went to the Cosmic Races, she was the true and only core of Cloud Peak!

With the Cloud Peak King having no offspring yet, once Xia Lei encountered trouble, Cloud Peak would be in chaos!

Many people instantly realized the seriousness of the problem and reacted instinctively.

Including Little Tiger, Tong Hu, Ah Yang, and seven or eight other war teams, they immediately started disengaging from the battlefield, all heading towards the headquarters.

”Everyone, hold steady! Dammit, hold steady!” Guang Yaoʼs distorted voice came from the Battle Contribution Badge, and those around him also saw his similarly twisted expression.

Both he and Xia Lei felt the battle was abnormally smooth and tried various methods to discover where the abnormality lay.

But who could have thought that the enemy, undetected from above and below, inside and out, would appear in such an unbelievable manner?

It was as if they emerged from another world, abruptly appearing within Cloud Peakʼs defensive zone, right above the most critical headquarters.

Guangyao knew that at this moment, he needed to make some decisions—decisions that might affect his future, even Cloud Peakʼs future.

”Li Daqian, go cover Little Tiger, clear a path for the cavalry, a path towards the headquarters! No matter who blocks you in front, you must do it! Even if all your war beasts die, you must do it!”

”Air force, Red Hair and the Undead Dragonfish, anyone who can fly, all disengage from the battlefield, go reinforce the headquarters!”

”Deacon Tong, go reinforce the headquarters!”

”Chuyin withdraw, together with Sister Rong, protect Sister Hong and Master Le! Once the battlefield confirms Xia Leiʼs death, immediately lead people back to the villa to stabilize the situation.”

”Everyone else, continue what youʼre doing now! Death King Tree, Mo Ye, you personally act as the core, gather and lead surrounding Cloud Peak warriors!”

”Long-range units open fire, expend all your ammunition and skills. Thereʼs nothing to reserve at this moment!”

”Magic crystal cannon units, all within range, activate to attack the demon monster gathering area at the headquarters. The rest, target the parasites within the city... Remember, no matter the target, donʼt fear friendly fire.”

Throughout the entire Mei City battlefield, all who qualified to have a Battle Contribution Badge listened to the commands Guangyao issued within seconds.

The last phrase about not fearing friendly fire carried a hint of solemnity to many.

Many didnʼt understand, thinking Guangyaoʼs orders were problematic, but more core members knew this might be the best choice under the circumstances.

Who could have thought these parasites would create such a huge trap?!

The trap was simple: bait and ambush. But, out of five point five million parasites, over four point five million and two top-tier lifeforms served as bait. The ambush force appeared in a bizarre manner, directly assaulting Cloud Peakʼs command center.

Now, Mei City was in chaos. The previous great advantage prevented various Cloud Peak war teams from maintaining effective formations; all were fighting bravely. Trying to restore formations in a short time now was almost impossible.

Additionally, this was the moment Cloud Peak-affiliated warriorsʼ combat power was at its lowest: many abilities on cooldown, equipment severely damaged, and stamina at a low. Even with such a major change, they couldnʼt do much.
