Chapter 1743: Iʼd Like To Enter The Top Five

”Whatʼs he trying to do?”

Someone from the crowd asked curiously.

Grey closing the gap with the young man confused them. However, the answer was made clear to them the next instant.

The second Grey closed the gap with the retreating young man, like a savage man, he threw a punch forward. There wasnʼt the slightest hint of elemental essence radiating from his fists; he clearly wanted to punch the young man.

When the young man saw this, he couldnʼt help but frown. He had thought that Grey had a special attack that required him to draw close to him, but seeing Grey only throwing a punch his way without even imbuing it with any essence, he snickered, feeling Grey was overestimating his abilities. Even if Greyʼs physique is stronger than average, there was no way a Sixth stage Sovereign could rival a peak Eighth stage Sovereign since he has gone through more increase in his strength; as for Greyʼs speed, theyʼve all seen how fast he was with the aid of his lightning element.

The young man didnʼt panic, and without hesitation, he also threw out a punch. He didnʼt want to be careless, so he used a hint of his fire elemental essence, making the tip of his fist give off a faint red glow.

Crack!

The two fists collided, but the expected scene didnʼt occur, rather, the sound of bones breaking resounding across the entire arena, what followed next was a bloodcurdling scream. ”Ah!!!” The young man screamed in horror. The second his fist made contact with Greyʼs fist, he realized that Greyʼs fist wasnʼt simple. In fact, the force coming from the punch alone could rival an all-out attack of a Fifth stage Sovereign. The young man was only an Eighth stage Sovereign, and the strength of his body had barely entered the region of the Venerable Plane, so how could it compare to Greyʼs whose physical strength is actually rapidly advancing almost on the same level as his essence energy?

The figure of the young man flew out and crashed into the ground, bouncing off repeatedly before coming to a stop close to the edge of the platform. In a single blow, Grey had almost rendered his opponent incapacitated.

The young man struggled to stand up under the stunned gaze of everyone, and when they looked at his hand, they all sucked in a deep breath. They could all feel their mouths instantly go dry, especially those Eighth stage Sovereigns in the crowd, be they young or old.

The right arm of the young man was currently twisted in a strange manner, and bones could be seen piercing out from four different positions in his right arm alone. The young manʼs entire right hand was drenched in blood, and even blood could be seen streaking from the side of his mouth.

Everyone could see the fear and dread in the face of the young man. From his condition, they knew that the force behind Greyʼs seemingly casual punch was horrifying. In the young manʼs current state, his strength has not only dropped a little but he was currently filled with fear towards his opponent, making it almost impossible for him to even try to think of attacking.

This was a form of psychological oppression when facing an opponent one feels they have no hope of defeating. Itʼs not that the young man couldnʼt put up a fight with Grey, but at the moment he didnʼt dare to.

Greyʼs figure was in the same position, and he didnʼt even feel any impact from the young manʼs attack. In fact, if not for the essence the young man used, thereʼs a chance that the young manʼs strength mightʼve dropped below fifty percent. From what Grey could tell, the young man could still use around seventy-five percent of his strength. This should be just about enough for him to have a quick victory.

Although his initial plan has been compromised, it isnʼt far off from his expectations.

Grey didnʼt delay and shot towards the young man like a bolt of lightning.

Seeing Greyʼs approaching figure, the young man lost all decorum; with a powerful shout, he covered his body with his essence, summoning the defensive elemental artifact; he used it to prepare for Greyʼs next attack while also retreating hurriedly.

From this act, everyone already knew that this battle was already concluded. The young man was like a frightened prey, he couldnʼt put up much of a fight.

A minute later, Grey defeated his opponent. The young man only managed to hold on this long before his defenses were shattered and he was beaten by Grey.

The entire arena fell silent. From the time Grey made the first move until now, it had been barely over a minute, yet he defeated his opponent so swiftly. The faces of everyone present paled at the thought of this. How could such a thing happen?

The young man was a well-known figure and they all knew the shocking strength he possessed, yet he wasnʼt a match for Grey. How could something like this not shock all of them? They were completely dumbfounded.

Even in the Elderʼs area, all of them stared at the scene a bit surprised. Those experts with discerning eyes all knew that Greyʼs swift victory was due to his opponent underestimating him, but it didnʼt hide the shock in their eyes. Greyʼs physique was a bit too overpowered. Theyʼre all old experts, and a few of them were thousands of years old. Even after cultivating this long, their physical strength is only just getting close to the Mid stages of the Sovereign Plane. The reason they could do this was due to not being able to advance any further in the cultivation of their elemental essence.

Grey turned to the Elder in charge of the competition, who quickly stopped gawking at the event and announced Grey as the winner of the fight.

Grey turned to the next platform, his eyes landing on the body of the Ninth stage Sovereigns. ”Please, Iʼd like to enter the top five, who among you is ranked fifth?”
