Yandere Stream

Kai ended stream early for the first time since going viral.

The chat reacted like he had just shut down the internet.

Boobykiller_051: LUNA SAID GO TO BED AND BRO LISTENED IM CRYING

Peepee_666: HE WHIPPED ALREADY

xX_CryptidMilk_Xx: THIS RELATIONSHIP ISN’T LEGALLY CLASSIFIABLE

Kai ignored them while shutting everything down, though not as easily as he wanted to pretend. Something about Luna’s last messages was still sitting in his chest in a way he couldn’t shake.

Not the usual creepy kind of off.

The worried kind.

Like she had been trying not to panic.

That unsettled him more than anything else she’d done so far.

When the stream finally ended, the apartment collapsed into silence. Rain pressed softly against the windows, the glow of his monitors fading as everything powered down. Kai stayed in his chair, staring at Discord.

No new messages.

His fingers hovered over the keyboard longer than they should have.

Finally, he typed:

u still there

The typing indicator appeared almost immediately.

Yes.

Too fast.

Like she had been waiting behind the screen the entire time.

Kai exhaled before he could stop himself, then immediately regretted how relieved that felt.

you good?

A pause.

Then:

Better now.

That line landed wrong in a way he couldn’t explain.

Kai leaned back in his chair, rubbing his face.

”You are absolutely getting manipulated,” he muttered to himself.

His phone buzzed instantly.

Luna.

He froze.

Another message appeared.

You talk to yourself when you’re stressed.

Kai stared at the screen, then slowly looked around his empty apartment.

”Okay,” he whispered. ”That one sucked.”

No follow-up came immediately. Just the typing indicator appearing and disappearing again like she was hesitating.

Sorry.

I didn’t mean to scare you again.

That was the problem.

She always sounded sincere when she said things like that.

Not performative. Not calculated. Just genuinely upset that she had crossed a line.

Like his reaction actually mattered.

Kai sat still for a moment longer than he meant to, then stood up abruptly.

”I need air.”

He grabbed a hoodie and left before he could talk himself out of it.

The rooftop was cold and damp from earlier rain. The city stretched out beneath a low, gray sky, neon reflections bleeding across wet concrete and glass. It was quieter than his apartment in a way that felt almost disorienting.

Real silence. Not stream silence. Not audience silence.

Actual silence.

Kai leaned against the railing and let his shoulders drop for the first time all day.

His life had changed too fast for his brain to keep up.

Money. Attention. Thousands of people watching him like he was a show instead of a person.

And Luna, always there in the middle of it, threading through everything like she had been part of it before it even started.

His phone buzzed again.

You should’ve brought a warmer jacket.

Kai looked around the rooftop immediately.

Empty.

Water tanks. HVAC units. Shadows that meant nothing.

Still, his pulse jumped.

are u fucking batman

The typing indicator appeared.

No.

Then:

Batman doesn’t donate enough money.

Despite himself, Kai laughed.

It came out real this time, surprising even him. Something in his chest loosened slightly before he could stop it.

Then another message arrived.

The rooftop camera angle is terrible by the way.

You look tired.

Kai froze.

Slowly, he tilted his head upward.

Above the rooftop door, a small security camera pointed across the space.

His stomach tightened.

Normal explanation. It had to be.

She hacked the building. That was somehow the version of reality his brain defaulted to now.

He exhaled hard through his nose.

”I don’t even have the emotional energy for this.”

Another buzz.

You should go back downstairs.

That shift in tone hit immediately.

Kai frowned.

why

The typing indicator flickered on and off several times before stabilizing.

Then:

Someone posted your address online.

Everything inside him went cold.

what

I’m handling it.

That sentence made it worse.

Kai opened Twitter so fast he nearly dropped his phone.

It didn’t take long to find it.

A post. Screenshot. His building. Partial address visible. Thousands of likes already. Replies debating whether it was real.

His breathing turned shallow.

”Oh my god.”

His thumb scrolled too fast, skimming comments that stopped feeling like jokes halfway through reading them. People talking about visiting. Taking photos. ”Meeting the streamer guy.”

This wasn’t internet anymore.

This was real.

Another message arrived.

Go inside and lock your door.

Kai didn’t hesitate this time.

He moved.

Fast.

Rain hit his hoodie as he crossed the rooftop, footsteps loud against concrete. The hallway back inside felt too narrow, too dim, like the building itself had changed while he wasn’t looking.

He locked his door the second he got inside. Checked it twice. Then again, just to be sure.

Only then did he breathe.

His phone buzzed again.

Good.

Kai swallowed.

how are u handling it

Typing.

Stop.

Typing again.

Then:

People who leak private information shouldn’t be allowed near you.

Kai stared at the message.

luna

No response.

luna what did u do

Typing bubble.

Gone.

Back again.

Then:

Nothing serious.

That was not reassuring.

Kai opened Twitter again.

The original account that posted his address was gone.

Not suspended.

Deleted.

Every repost disappearing with it. Threads collapsing in real time. Comments vanishing. Accounts locking themselves or going private.

Like someone was erasing the incident from existence.

Kai stared at the screen.

This wasn’t just obsession anymore.

It wasn’t just attention.

It was control.

His Discord pinged.

Unknown user.

He hesitated, then opened it.

No profile picture.

One message.

tell your girlfriend to stop doxxing people

Another immediately followed.

this shit isn’t funny anymore

Then a third.

my friend just got swatted because of her psycho fans

Kai’s stomach dropped.

Fans. Plural.

Before he could respond, the account went offline.

Then vanished entirely.

Kai sat motionless in the glow of his screen while rain tapped softly against the windows.

His phone buzzed again.

Luna.

Are you upset with me?

He closed his eyes for a moment.

Because the worst part wasn’t the hacking.

Wasn’t the attention.

Wasn’t even the fear.

It was the simple, quiet fact that after everything that had happened...

he still didn’t want her to disappear.
