Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 394: Chapter 291: Miracle Domination? Dominate a Deity

”...” A bitter look flickered in Prince Norns’s eyes as he watched Isaac. He said nothing, simply pointing the blade of his longsword at him.

Isaac’s eyebrow twitched. He clenched his right fist, putting away the Sovereign of Evil Thoughts. When he opened his hand again, a sinister eye, burning with blood-red flames, materialized in his palm!

At the sight of this, the corner of Prince Norns’s eye twitched. Without a moment’s hesitation, the purple gemstone ring on his right thumb shattered, and an incredibly intricate Space Magic Array instantly unfurled, enveloping him and his entire party.

The next moment, in a brilliant flash of purple light, they all vanished on the spot.

The entire process took less than a tenth of a second!

Isaac didn’t even have time to react!

A single-use Legendary Magic Item: Saint Ivanias’s Spatial Transfer!

It was another Legendary Magic Item Prince Norns had prepared for the Endless Tower. Its activation was nearly instantaneous, capable of teleporting any number of people within its range to any corner of the world in a flash.

It could even cross the barriers between worlds!

Of course, there was one caveat: it couldn’t be used for inter-world teleportation from within a sealed Great Creation.

Even so, the item was exceptionally precious. In the Wilderness Dungeon, where the strongest were merely Tier Four and could only achieve Tier Five combat power through a burst of strength, this Magic Tool had no restrictions. At a critical moment, it was a true lifesaver.

A perfect example being right now...

’If it were just Isaac, frankly, even as a Tier Four Wizard—and the craziest, strongest of the Mad Witches at that—I would have been confident in putting up a fight. But the man just casually whipped out a Divinity...’

’I don’t know what his method for creating a Deity is, or how long it would take, but I know this: once Isaac succeeds, we will have absolutely no chance of winning!’

’Besides, even if he can’t create a new Deity, a Tier Four Wizard like Isaac would never be short on ways to use it. A Wizard plus a Divinity completely under his control—even if that Divinity’s energy looks a little weak—is absolutely not to be underestimated!’

So, without any hesitation, Prince Norns chose to run.

That’s right. Run.

Prince Norns left the Wilderness Dungeon entirely.

While the Magic Tool couldn’t get him out of the Endless Tower, it could take him out of this world—the Wilderness Dungeon—and into another Tier Four world within the Tower.

’If I can’t win, can’t I at least hide?’

’Besides, the mission the Royal Family entrusted to me is already partially complete. All that remains is the Trial. It’s a shame to give up on it after already finishing one-third.’

But...

’...Isaac’s method of creating a Deity is simply too terrifying!’

’Not only is there no chance of winning a direct confrontation, but more importantly, I have no way of distinguishing whether a Sect was founded by a Deity of Isaac’s making!’

’The Endless Tower’s Trial doesn’t make exceptions for that sort of thing!’

’So after weighing the pros and cons, running was the only option.’

’It’s fine, though. This was always one of my backup plans. It’s not that I’m a coward; it’s just that when you’re facing a madman like Isaac, no one of the same tier can claim a guaranteed victory.’

’And facts have now proven that this move was indeed a prescient one.’

’Next, although my progress on the Trial will be reset to zero, it doesn’t matter. Without Isaac’s interference, my odds of completing the mission are much higher!’

’Plus, leaving Isaac here in the Wilderness Dungeon means he’ll draw some of the heat for me. There are plenty of factions in the Endless Tower looking to target the Terra Empire, and those people are a real pain.’

However...

How could the rules set by a Great Wizard be so easily broken?

Just as Prince Norns left with his men and the purple light faded, Isaac froze. Along with the Prince’s departure, a message appeared in his mind, sending a chill through him.

[Irregular inter-world travel by a Transcendent detected. High Tower emergency protocols activated. Maintaining the rules of the Endless Tower is the duty of every Transcendent of the True Realm. Please find this Transcendent and return them to the world of the Wilderness Dungeon. A reward from the Wilderness Dungeon will be granted upon completion. Do you accept this quest?]

Isaac’s eyes flickered. After a moment’s hesitation, he heaved a long sigh and gave up on the tempting quest.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to deal with Prince Norns. On the contrary, he was very eager to. He was also curious about this inter-world travel mechanic and greatly anticipated the reward mentioned in the message.

But it was precisely this intense curiosity that made Isaac afraid to take on the quest.

That’s right—afraid.

In fact, Isaac had thought about crossing between worlds ever since he first entered the Endless Tower. ’So many worlds,’ he thought. ’If I could connect them, even temporarily, how many resources could I plunder?’

The idea was especially strong before he obtained the Miracle Lampwick and advanced to Tier Four.

After all, back then he was invincible at Tier Three. If he could have connected to other Tier Three worlds, what wouldn’t have been his for the taking?

However, that idea completely vanished after he advanced to Tier Four. Tier Four worlds weren’t like Tier Three ones; they weren’t so easy to traverse. Furthermore, after advancing to Tier Four, he was no longer invincible. While his strength was still respectable, the risk-to-reward ratio was likely terrible, so he had given up on the notion.
