Warlock Apprentice

Pa——

A pale blue shadow of a whip struck the stone floor of the training ground, and in an instant, the dust accumulated on the ground was swept into the air. The freezing air turned the suspended dust into frost sand, which then fell like hail, making a crisp sound.

Lyon tiptoed across the cold-infused training ground, stunned as he looked at the terrifying crack on the ground.

A black crevice, more than ten meters long, half a meter deep, surrounded by icy frost marks.

Lyon could hardly believe his eyes. The training ground’s floor was made of special stone, and during his time training at Fangling Hall, no matter how hard he tried, he never left a single mark on the floor. Yet just now, Xiliu merely flicked the whip casually, achieving such an effect without even appearing to exert force.

”If it hit me, I’d probably be split in half instantly.” Lyon shivered involuntarily, unsure if it was from the cold or a chill in his heart.

At this moment, Shan, sitting on Ganke’s shoulder, also arrived at the training ground. She looked at the cracks on the ground, her eyes filled with surprise: ”The power of this Ice Whip is simply terrifying.”

Shan turned to look at the dazed Xiliu: ”Did you use any force?”

Xiliu instinctively shook her head: ”No, I just swung it casually...”

Casually swung it? Casually?!

Everyone present, whether it was Lyon, Xiliu, Allen, or Glenn, felt dizzy for a moment. Such a swing of the whip could cause this kind of attack...

”And what if you used force, how powerful would that be?”

Facing everyone’s questions, Xiliu was also bewildered. She didn’t expect the Ice Whip’s attack to be so terrifying.

She looked down at the pale blue whip in her hand, dazed.

This was brought by Glenn, who said it was specially crafted for her by Angel.

Upon first seeing it, Xiliu felt a sense of familiarity with the whip because of the faint water vapor that covered it. Although Xiliu was not of the Water System, her talent was the metamorphosis of water, which naturally made her feel close to it.

The whip was not long, had no sense of leather, and wasn’t heavy. Holding it felt like touching jelly: slightly moist but not slippery, with a refreshing coolness, very skin-friendly.

The whip had beautiful patterns, with snowflakes and ice crystals’ phantoms vaguely visible.

At first glance, Xiliu quite liked it. Moreover, holding this whip made her instinctively want to swing it, so she followed her heart’s decision and whipped it at the training ground.

Then, the earlier scene unfolded.

Setting aside the terrifying power and the shocking icy air, what amazed Xiliu the most was that, although the whip was only about two or three meters long, the mark left by her swing extended over ten meters!

This might not be the limit. Xiliu had a hunch that if she used energy attacks, the whip mark might be even longer, possibly reaching ten times the existing length!

”How about you try swinging it with full force?” suggested Serum.

Xiliu shook her head: ”I feel that if I swung it with full force, the training ground might be completely destroyed... I wouldn’t know how to explain it to Wizard Muhara.”

Serum thought for a moment: ”True, or maybe we can try it outside?”

Before Xiliu could respond, Kavoline suddenly stepped forward: ”No need to go outside. You can actually try swinging it at me with full force.”

Kavoline’s offer to test the whip surprised everyone. However, when they saw the intense battle intent in her eyes, they suddenly understood.

Kavoline was also a powerful Bloodline Apprentice, and she was even more combative than Nausicaa.

”Will it hurt you?” Xiliu hesitated.

Kavoline smiled coldly, ”What do you think?”

As soon as she spoke, the ornate dress Kavoline wore for Nausicaa’s farewell banquet began to glow, transforming into golden armor under everyone’s watchful eyes.

The armor covered her entire body, even the layered armored skirt extending to her ankles.

With a slight movement, golden wings emerged from the back of the armor, and as they flapped, she slowly floated into the air, appearing like a War Goddess descending from the heavens in the midday sun, radiating dazzling light!

”This is the War Goddess Armor, the strongest defense among the Divine Shepherd’s attire I possess,” Kavoline’s voice came from beneath the luxurious full-helmet: ”Go ahead, swing the whip at me. I want to see the extent of the weapon crafted by Chaowei.”

With Kavoline fully prepared, Xiliu thought for a moment and nodded: ”Be careful then.”

Xiliu also slowly flew into the air, and in a moment of tense atmosphere, she lifted the long whip in her hand and swung it hard towards Kavoline.

No one could see the specifics, only vaguely capturing the pale blue shadow of the whip, like a snake, crashing onto Kavoline.

”Boom—” After a huge sonic boom, a golden figure was smashed from the sky onto the ground.

The impact created a crater on the ground.

Everyone quickly walked to the edge of the crater and looked down.

In the crater, Kavoline’s wings were wrapped around her, and it was unclear what her condition was.

After the dust settled, Kavoline slowly unfolded her golden wings, emerging completely unscathed.

While everyone marveled at the terrifying defense of Kavoline’s ”War Goddess Armor,” she flapped her wings again and ascended quietly, watching Xiliu from across the way.

”You held back.” Kavoline’s tone was assertive.

Xiliu hesitated for a moment, then nodded: ”This was my first time formally using this type of whip, so I held back a bit to get accustomed.”

Kavoline didn’t blame Xiliu but instead asked: ”How much force did you use just now?”

Xiliu estimated the energy consumption of the Magical Core and the energy carrying capacity of the whip, hesitating: ”About half maybe.”

Xiliu’s words left Kavoline silent and the eyes of everyone present wide open in disbelief.

The horrific speed and the shocking sonic boom just now, apart from Kavoline, no one dared say they could withstand it unscathed with only half force from Xiliu?

”Is this... a product of the Research and Development Institute?” Sinistra murmured softly. This was on a whole new level compared to any Alchemist works she’d seen before!

After a moment of silence, Kavoline calmly said: ”Try attacking me with full force.”

”Kavoline, will you be able to withstand it?” Sinistra suddenly exclaimed, eyes filled with concern.

Kavoline looked down at Sinistra: ”Don’t worry, I won’t just rely on the ’War Goddess Armor’ but will also use the Defense Spell from Bloodline Power.”

Upon hearing Kavoline’s reassurance, Sinistra remained slightly worried, but she trusted that Kavoline knew her limits as this was just an experiment.

Kavoline looked at Xiliu: ”Go ahead.”

Xiliu exhaled, nodded: ”Alright.”
