Warlock Apprentice

Although Angel had already given his advice, when it came time to leave, Allen still awkwardly expressed that he wanted to stay in Paradow City for a while longer.

Although Allen did not say what he intended to do by staying, his eyes flickered, and he dared not meet Angel’s gaze directly. Obviously, he still wanted to continue searching for Irene’s whereabouts.

Angel deeply looked at Allen, said nothing, just nodded, and then turned and left.

Allen’s choice is understandable; anyone who learns that their closest person has disappeared, and they are not allowed to ask or search, would probably feel puzzled.

Angel does not know what Allen will find here, but to find Irene is nearly impossible. Unless he finds a second Pattern Stone identical to the first, which could also bring him into that unknown and terrifying world.

Previously, Katarina also said that there was only one Pattern Stone. Therefore, Angel did not stop Allen from staying there.

As long as he is unaware of the inside story, even if he stayed in Paradow City for a hundred years, he would not be able to find Irene.

On the way back, they did not ride in Sharley’s teapot vehicle, but sat on Angel’s Gondola instead.

While Sharley was still amazed by the appearance of the Gondola, Greya looked at Angel with a probing gaze: ”Is that place really that dangerous?”

Undoubtedly, the ”that place” Greya referred to must be where Irene went. The place that Angel described as the Boundless Path.

”Do you think the Boundless Path is dangerous?” Angel asked.

”Of course.” Greya did not hesitate; currently, probably no one from the Wizards’ Realm of the Southern Domain would survive the Boundless Path, showing its dangers.

”The place that Irene went to is even more dangerous than the Boundless Path,” Angel said and then added, ”And much, much more dangerous.”

Greya’s pupils shrank, although she had guessed this answer, it still was somewhat unbelievable to her.

Previously, when Allen asked Angel when he could start seeking Irene, Angel’s answer was: ”When you are qualified to set foot on the Boundless Path.”

Greya knew well that to safely set foot on the Boundless Path, one had to at least become a Legendary Wizard.

Even at the level of Legendary Realm, Angel only said—

Qualified.

Being qualified doesn’t mean you can solve the problem. Just like with the Novice Wizards’ competition, even Lyon, who has just entered the Wizards’ Realm, is qualified to participate. However, having a qualification is one thing, and being able to reach the end is another.

Even Legendary Wizards are only qualified.

From this, it can be inferred that the place where Irene went is extremely dangerous.

But Greya still felt puzzled; is there such a dangerous place in the Southern Domain? Could it be some secret, undiscovered Hidden Space?

”Where exactly is that place?” Greya hesitated, then asked again.

The last time Greya asked, Angel had paused almost saying something. Considering there might be an inside story and with Allen present, Greya chose not to continue probing. But now, since Allen had stayed in Paradow City, Greya asked again.

Facing Greya’s inquiry, Angel did not immediately answer but glanced at another person in the Gondola with his eyes.

Sharley seemed to be admiring the Gondola, continuously uttering words of praise. However, Angel could clearly see that though Sharley’s attention was not on them, her ears were very attentive, obviously eavesdropping.

”I never thought that this would happen in the Southern Domain. But it did really appear.”

Angel slowly started speaking, apparently planning to reveal the previously concealed information.

Sharley’s ears perked up even more; she was too curious about what story lay within?

However, as if teasing her, Angel gave a vague hint of the story and then said to Greya: ”This matter relates to some significant things; let’s talk after we get back.”

Sharley’s heart, originally lured by curiosity into the heights, plummeted in an instant.

Sharley: ”...” Either don’t start, or if you start, finish it. Now you’ve aroused my curiosity and just left it hanging. How infuriating!

Although Sharley internally roared in frustration, she couldn’t express it and continued to perform her role of admiring the Gondola.

Greya glanced at Angel and nodded: ”Alright.”

Since Angel had agreed to speak, he certainly wouldn’t go back on his word. If it was something significant, indeed it wasn’t suitable to be discussed outside.

It only took ten minutes for the Gondola to travel from Paradow City to Sky Mechanical City.

If it had been elsewhere, maybe Angel would deliberately slow down to leisurely enjoy the scenery in the air. But Yirong Country was different, due to too many steam train routes established, all cities here were heavily reforming. While this wasn’t necessarily bad, with convenience the price paid was that the air wouldn’t be good in the short term.

Along the way, there wasn’t much beautiful scenery to appreciate, purely inhaling smog. This prompted Angel to speed up the Gondola, quickly returning to the Sky Mechanical City.

After returning to the manor, Angel, together with Greya, disappeared, while Sharley stayed in the courtyard, her eyes filled with struggle and curiosity.

...

Gravity Garden, outdoor library.

Sanders sat at the desk, looking puzzled at Angel who sat opposite: ”You seem very formal, is there something important?”

Sanders was still studying the issues of the Wilderness of Dreams power system when Angel suddenly came to find him, formally requesting to meet in the Gravity Garden.

Moreover, Greya also came along. Now, Greya was seated on a nearby bookshelf, curiously surveying the surroundings of the Gravity Garden.

”Indeed, something did happen.” Angel quickly recounted his relationship with the Allen siblings and the disappearance of Allen’s sister.

”And then?” Sanders: ”Is there some kind of inside story about Irene’s disappearance?”

Sanders knew, Angel was not a person who made a fuss over trivial matters. His solemn attitude indicated that there was definitely more to the matter. However, Sanders couldn’t quite understand, how could the disappearance of an ordinary female apprentice involve some significant secrets?

The next second, Angel answered the doubts in Sanders’ heart. And he directly dropped a bombshell.

”It’s related to a Mysterious Object.”

A Mysterious Object?! Both Sanders and Greya looked at Angel, their eyes filled with astonishment.

A minor disappearance case, actually linked to a Mysterious Object?

”Is it unclaimed?” Greya couldn’t help asking, with uncontrollable greed in her eyes.

”Yes.” Angel nodded again.

Greya’s eyes sparkled with joy, she quickly pressed: ”Where is it, do you know?”

Angel: ”I don’t know where it is, but the people from the Orderly Guild should know its whereabouts.”

The Orderly Guild? Greya became confused again, what kind of organization was that? If they knew where the Mysterious Object was, wouldn’t the people of this organization go to it?

Sanders was initially also puzzled, but when Angel mentioned the Orderly Guild, he immediately understood.

”You mean...” Sanders’ eyes were dark, carrying a serious tone.

Angel nodded: ”Yes, it’s a disorderly Mysterious Object.”
