Chapter 1222: Chapter 528: Oath of Victory

”Knights, my brothers! The Undead are ravaging this land, and our Dwarf friends are fighting bloodily not far from here, but we will not yield, just like our ancestors, we shall never bow to any evil! A knight’s oath is not just made to you, but also to myself!” Laine said loudly, ”My brothers, please remember, do not forget the honor bestowed upon you by the ancestors, forgetting the past means betrayal! We are heroes who stand tall, how can we let the Undead defeat us, and how can we face the Ancestral Heroic Spirit of the Celestial Kingdom? The forgotten past must be regained, this is the knight’s oath! Let us guard all this with our Cavalry Lances and blood, this is the knight’s way!”

”That’s right! That’s right! Fight for the Lady! Fight for the knight’s oath, fight to protect this land!” The entire Sharp-Top Palace erupted with enthusiastic cheers, excitement surged like a tidal wave echoing through the clouds, fatigue had vanished, the remaining knights waved their fists, and the cold of the winter night had disappeared, the air was like a furnace, exuding a scorching scent.

The Holy Grail Knights knelt on one knee to express their allegiance willingly, Fidmund trembled with both hands, staring at the Lake God’s Battle Banner: ”My ancestor, Marcus de Boldro, I’ve found the person I want to pledge loyalty to, just as you did back then!”

”My brothers! Let us fight bloodily, to conquer Musillon! To reclaim the land the Goddess granted us and to defend the Kingdom!” Laine turned and mounted the Griffin, with Armand carrying the Lake God Battle Banner closely behind him: ”Even if it means death, die with honor, never bow to the enemy, never turn your back to the enemy, can you do that?”

”Yes!” All the knights erupted in a roar from the depths of their hearts, as mighty as the rising tide, their morale soaring, they mounted their horses.

They were ready to fight.

”Forward!!!” Laine, riding the Griffin, raised the Goddess of Revenge, and the female sorcerer Teresa immediately melted the ice wall, as more than five hundred knights who could still fight joined the charge.

This charge had no shrill horn, only the knights’ prayers before the battle. At this moment, whether they were knights from Winford Duchy, Boldro Duchy, Bastogne Duchy, Kakasong Duchy, or other duchies, their hearts were united once again.

And as the knights spurred their horses forward, the dawn sky gradually brightened, the phantom of the Lake Fairy appeared in the clouds, with her arms open, chanting sacred spells.

On that day, all the knights of Sharp-Top Palace received the blessing of the Goddess.

Under the powerful hooves of the warhorses, the earth trembled, and the Lake God Battle Banner shone its purest light in the pre-dawn darkness.

The Brittania people will not sit idly by! If they are to die, let it be on the path of the charge!

”Damn it!!!” In the far distance, Mathew Bade was commanding his army to corner the Dwarves into their final stronghold when his hearing was suddenly drowned out by the sound of hooves pounding the earth, and as he looked up to see Laine and the Lake God Battle Banner behind him, the Viper of Musillon inwardly cried ”It’s bad!”

Laine dared to launch a counter-charge against the Undead inside the castle?!

What Mathew Bade hadn’t expected was that the Lake God Battle Banner would appear here!

He had no time to think further, the knights lowered their Long Spears, drew their Longswords, and the clash of steel echoed in the streets of Sharp-Top Palace, the fury of the Brittania people unstoppable, instantly shattering the Undead Army’s attempts to regroup.

In a storm of blood and carnage, Cavalry Lances pierced through the armor of Desolate Tomb Guards and helmets of Skeleton Warriors, and when Longswords cleaved into the bodies of Tomb Evil Ghosts and Tomb Ghouls, they fled in disarray.

The entire tide of Undead was crushed by the multi-colored flood, the knights roaring and charging without regard for themselves. They did not attempt to kill every enemy they saw on their path, but they shattered the Undead Army’s effort to regroup, the Undead crushed beneath the iron hooves of warhorses, and the knights on horseback fought bravely and gloriously, loudly shouting to fight for the Goddess, and when they saw Laine charging at the forefront alone, all the knights could feel their spirits reaching a new height.

The Lake God Battle Banner fluttered back and forth inside the castle, the divine light on the banner suppressing the morale of the Undead, and the knights were invincible; caught off guard, the Undead were beaten into total disarray.

Laine charged at the forefront alone, wild and unruly, Impres spat lightning from its mouth, shredding enemies with its claws. Laine’s blue eyes revolved with silver streams of Spiritual Energy around the eyeballs, and he locked onto his target.

That was Mathew Bade, the Viper of Musillon, who had just entered the castle! Since this Black Knight had come, he shouldn’t leave!

The Goddess of Revenge descended, splitting a Blood Knight’s head and shield in two. Laine, by himself, cleared the entire street of enemies, arrogantly displaying his power, showcasing his personal Martial Valor; countless enemies on the street were swept away by him, and no matter how hard the Undead Army tried to stop him, not a single one succeeded. Impres drove into flames and smoke, the Griffin tore the wings off a Bloodthirsty Celestial Ghost.
