Villain Extra: Rogue Reader

An unknown amount of time had gone by, and Ray was fast asleep on the bed.

”Do you want to build a snowman?”

”Build a snowman?” Amidst his sleep, he suddenly heard a random question.

”Why would I build a snowman?”

WHAM!

Right at that moment, his face was bashed by a pillow. He was instantly jolted awake as he roared.

”Who dares!”

He glanced around his surroundings, only to spot Belva staring at him with a deadpan expression.

”If you don’t want to build a snowman, then please wake up. Otherwise, spring will quickly turn to winter with how much you’re sleeping.” She said coolly.

”Fuck!” Ray’s mouth nearly crooked from anger. Ever since he was all alone at his home in his old world, nobody would ever wake him up.

Therefore, his sleep had always been irregular.

He could be sleeping during the day, at noon, in the evening, or at night. There was no fixed interval because he had no one to monitor him.

Yeah... no one to monitor him.

Sad?

Not really!

He had a bundle of dramas, novels, manhwas, games, and much more to keep him company.

To have someone wake him up was indeed something he hadn’t experienced for a long time.

Thus, his anger subsided slightly as he plopped back onto the bed.

”I’m not going back to sleep!” He hurriedly said with a serious expression when he saw Belva lifting up another pillow.

”I’m just lying down to think about something.”

”Is that so?” Belva nodded in understanding. But in the next second, she tossed the pillow right into his face again.

”Was that what you thought I would say?”

WHACK!

”Fuck!” Ray grabbed the pillow and hissed. ”How could you throw it at me again?”

”Because you’ve instructed me to... 3 hours ago.” Belva nearly snapped when she said the word 3 hours ago. This wasn’t the first time she had tried to wake him up, only to no avail.

Ray’s mouth had an ”O” shape hanging around. He shifted his sight at the window and noticed the sun had long been out for a while.

It wasn’t even morning anymore.

”So I’ve missed breakfast again.” He sighed softly.

”...”

Belva was rendered speechless at his concern.

Seriously?

Breakfast?

That was all you cared about??!

The Lord had literally instructed you to be up for an important meeting, and you missed it completely.

Just when Belva was clueless about how to respond to his remark, someone knocked on the door outside.

Knock! Knock!

”Master, are you awake?” A familiar voice resounded.

”Hmm, who is this again?” Ray knitted his brows.

”It’s obviously not Belva because you’re right here.”

At this moment, Belva didn’t know whether he was messing with her or not.

”That’s Young Master Skyler... someone you had taken as a lackey last night.” She explained.

”Ah, right.” He clasped his hands and finally recalled the familiar voice.

”Ugh, why did he call me Master, though? It makes me look old.”

Usually Master was used to address the older folk either as respect or seniority.

And clearly, he was neither because he couldn’t be bothered to have any respect or seniority.

Could those two things feed your belly?

Hell no!

”What do you want?” Ray shouted loudly.

”Can I come in, Master?” Skyler responded.

”Just get your butt in, or do you want me to kick your manhood again for being such a sissy?”

Sure enough, Skyler immediately opened the door and bowed as a greeting to him.

”Master—”

Right when he was about to address him as Master again, Ray raised his hand and halted him. ”Just call me Ray. Even though you’re my lackey, I really can’t stand the term, Master.”

”Yes, Ray.” Skyler nodded and quickly changed his form of address. Truth be told, he also cringed hard to call Ray a master even though he accepted his fate.

He was someone who honored his words because that would have been a stain on the Carrion surname.

”Our Father... the Lord has requested your presence in the meeting hall.” Skyler relayed the news.

Since it was spread among the household that Skyler became a lackey for the adopted son, it was only obvious that he was chosen to relay the news.

However, what really shocked the servants was how blatantly disrespectful Ray was being.

He actually made the Lord wait 3 hours for him!

Not even the wives dared to be late for more than a few minutes, but Ray managed to do it on a world record-breaking record.

”I got it. Let me brush my teeth first.” Ray yawned and walked to the bathroom in his room.

This was the power of the rich!

Aside from the kitchen, almost everything was built within the room. The only problem was that it still took quite a bit of walking to use the bathroom.

Imagine if he had stained his pants because he was late to the toilet?

Now that would have been embarrassing.

A few minutes later, Ray finished cleansing his face and gestured for Skyler to lead the way.

”Young Master, your clothes.” Belva hurriedly said and handed him some new clothes.

When Ray saw the layers of clothes, his face quickly darkened.

”Too lazy!” He waved his hand dismissively and decided to wear his pajamas. The styles of clothing in this world were really outrageous.

One random T-shirt should have been enough, but here, you have to wear these so-called inner-layer clothing, and then even more random accessories to tie everything up.

Like, give him a break!

He doubted the women would even spend that much time wearing that many layers of clothes.

...

Carrion Household, Meeting Hall

By the time Ray arrived, he could perceive multiple hostile gazes at him. This was especially so from the three wives, who looked at him like he was their biggest enemy.

Unfortunately, they didn’t get to say much when Robert began to speak up.

”Was the sleep good?” Robert asked.

”The best I’ve ever had!” Ray nodded.

”Good, then this assignment is perfectly suited for you. There’s been recent monster tides happening all across, and one of them occurred within a transit point, Moonrock Town. I want you to head over there to protect the people and our goods.” Robert announced loudly.

’Can I go back to sleep instead?’ Ray regretted coming over here.
