Chapter 242: Bingling Grass

It seemed like the perfect environment for Bingling Grass.

Dongfang Ruolan nodded.

”I thought the same. If Bingling Grass still exists, Changbai Mountain is the most likely place.”

”Then Iʼll go tomorrow. If thereʼs any Bingling Grass on Changbai Mountain, Iʼll bring it back for Ye Fei!” Seeing a glimmer of hope, Liu Yiru felt better.

”With your skills, collecting Bingling Grass should be easy,” Dongfang Ruolan said, frowning.

”But what about Ye Fei?”

”What do you mean, ʼwhat about him?ʼ” Liu Yiru asked, puzzled.

”Isnʼt he awake now?”

”He is, but only temporarily,” Dongfang Ruolan explained. ”Without your continued ʼtreatment,ʼ heʼll likely fall back into a coma within days.”

”What?” Liu Yiru was stunned. She could help him while he was unconscious, but now that he was awake, how could she continue?

What would he think of her as a mother?

She suggested, ”Canʼt he do it himself?”

”Itʼs not impossible,” Dongfang Ruolan said, ”but thereʼs a risk heʼll get addicted after experiencing the pleasure. Heʼs only sixteen. It would be bad if he developed that habit.”

”Then letʼs not do that,” Liu Yiru said instinctively.

She knew it was a bad habit and didnʼt want Ye Fei to fall into it. But she didnʼt consider that continuing to help him might lead to the same problem.

She was so focused on her son that she didnʼt think it through. She just wanted to keep helping him.

But then she remembered she was leaving tomorrow to search for Bingling Grass and wouldnʼt be there for him. She felt conflicted.

She considered entrusting him to Dongfang Ruolan but felt reluctant, as if she was giving away something precious.

”I could help take care of him,” Dongfang Ruolan continued, unaware of Liu Yiruʼs internal struggle. ”But thereʼs another issue. Bingling Grass is a peculiar plant. Once itʼs removed from its growing place, its potency rapidly diminishes. It will wither within half an hour. It has to be picked and consumed immediately.”

”I see. Then Iʼll take him with me,” Liu Yiru said, feeling relieved. She told herself it wasnʼt because she didnʼt want to leave him with Dongfang Ruolan or because she wanted to be near him again—it was to ensure he could take the medicine promptly.

With this justification, she felt better about her decision.

”Alright,” Dongfang Ruolan agreed. ”But remember, you need to ʼtreatʼ him at least three times a day, or heʼll fall back into a coma quickly.”

”Three times?” Liu Yiru hesitated.

Twice a day was already a struggle when he was unconscious. Now that she had tasted its pleasure and he was awake, how was she supposed to face him?

But after biting her lip, she said, ”Okay, I understand.”

Just as the two women finished speaking, Ye Fei walked out of his room with his head down, looking dejected. He didnʼt greet Dongfang Ruolan but said to Liu Yiru, ”Mom, I remember now. What I experienced wasnʼt a dream.”

Although Ye Feiʼs words were unclear, Liu Yiru could see the deep sense of loss in his demeanor. Her resolve strengthened as she took his hand.

”Mom knows. Donʼt worry. Auntie Dongfang has found a way to help you recover. Tomorrow, Iʼll take you to find what you need.”

”Can I really recover?” Ye Feiʼs face showed a hint of surprise, as if he couldnʼt believe what his mother had said.

”Of course,” Liu Yiru said with a smile.

”Auntie Dongfang told me about a plant called Bingling Grass. It can suppress your excessive yang energy and even elevate your strength to a higher level.”

As she spoke, Liu Yiru gave Dongfang Ruolan a meaningful glance.

To lift Ye Feiʼs spirits, she didnʼt mention that Bingling Grass might not even exist, and the chances of finding it were extremely slim.

”Yes, that plant grows in Changbai Mountain, and your mother is going to take you there to collect it tomorrow,” Dongfang Ruolan added.

Seeing how anxious Liu Yiru was about Ye Fei, she felt a pang of guilt about continuing the deception.

However, she knew it was only temporary, for the sake of Liu Yiruʼs future happiness.

So, she went along with the plan, confident that even if Liu Yiru discovered the truth later, she wouldnʼt blame her.

Ye Fei ”believed” them and smiled reassuringly at Liu Yiru.

”Mom, you donʼt need to worry so much. Even if I canʼt recover, itʼs not the end of the world. Weʼve been through this before, havenʼt we?”

A faint smile appeared on Liu Yiruʼs face for the first time since Ye Fei had fallen into a coma. His thoughtfulness was a great comfort to her.

Glancing at the clock, she saw it was already past two in the afternoon.

”Ye Fei, after lying in bed for so many days and just getting some nutrient infusions, you must be very hungry. Iʼll go cook something for you. Ruolan, stay and have a meal with us.”

”Sure,” Dongfang Ruolan agreed, nodding. She hadnʼt had lunch yet and felt no need to be polite here.

”Just wait a moment,” Liu Yiru said before heading into the kitchen. Now that Ye Fei was awake, though he still felt a bit unwell, Liu Yiru was already in high spirits and had regained her appetite.

As soon as Liu Yiru left, Dongfang Ruolanʼs stern expression softened.

She sat next to Ye Fei and whispered with a smile, ”Naughty boy, did you make some progress after all? Otherwise, how did you ʼwake upʼ so quickly?”

”Itʼs hard to say,” Ye Fei replied with a wry smile.

Although he had enjoyed the experience, it wasnʼt what he truly wanted.

He had hoped to have Liu Yiru fully and willingly give herself to him, rather than the unexpected encounter they just had.

Feeling a bit frustrated, he recounted the events to Dongfang Ruolan. Since the plan had been their joint creation, he had no reason to hide anything from her.

”Well, thatʼs still progress,” Dongfang Ruolan said with a smile. ”You could say youʼve taken a big step forward. Even though it was an accident, youʼve had your first time. From now on, she probably wonʼt be as resistant in her heart.Without this experience, no matter how willing she might feel, it would be much harder for you two to take that step.”

”Youʼre right,” Ye Fei nodded, letting go of his earlier frustration. But then he thought of Liu Yiruʼs strange condition and mentioned it to Dongfang Ruolan, finally asking, ”Is her condition similar to your ʼYangchang,ʼ some kind of rare ʼtreasureʼ?”

Even though she had already been intimate with Ye Fei, Dongfang Ruolan couldnʼt help but blush when he mentioned her private part.

However, she still replied, ”Itʼs likely, but Iʼve never seen such a description in any medical books. So, this kind of treasure must be extremely rare. Youʼre really fortunate. But itʼs probably only you who can handle it. Most people wouldnʼt be able to withstand it.”

”Of course!”

Ye Fei said with a proud smile.

If it werenʼt for his nearly indestructible body, he might have been rendered impotent by the intense heat and cold from his mother earlier.

Especially the uncontrollable climax at the end—it was something he couldnʼt stop thinking about.
