Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 167: None of you will escape today!

Wei Qing hurriedly answered with a loud ”Yes,” and her face couldnʼt help but turn a bit red. She wasnʼt usually like this, but for some reason, whenever she saw Ye Fei, this mischievous kid, she couldnʼt help but want to quarrel with him.

After being told by Li Yun, who was her superior, she realized her loss of composure and was too embarrassed to argue with Ye Fei anymore.

However, when she saw Ye Fei suddenly make a triumphant grimace at her, she felt angry again.

For the whole morning, nearly a hundred people in the group had been working in vain. Not to mention the terrorists, they didnʼt even find a trace of their presence, and they didnʼt know the situation of the other groups for the time being because there was no electronic signal here at all.

Ye Fei, who hadnʼt seen any fireworks going up into the sky, also heaved a sigh of relief, because he knew Zhang Qiang very well. He knew that if Zhang Qiang encountered any strong enemy, he wouldnʼt give up asking for help just for the sake of face or something.

At noon, the group found a relatively spacious place and rested on the spot under the order of the group leader, the captain of the Northwest Special Forces.

After a fruitless morning, the people in the group couldnʼt help but relax their vigilance. Besides, they hadnʼt taken this operation seriously enough in the first place, so they all sat on the ground, eating and chatting in a relaxed manner.

Looking at this scene, Ye Fei couldnʼt help but sigh, but he also knew that even if he reminded them, it wouldnʼt do much good, so he could only secretly heighten his vigilance.

But even after everyone had finished eating and rested for a long time without any sign of the enemy, Ye Fei began to wonder if he was being too nervous.

Even if those terrorists wanted to launch an offensive, they probably wouldnʼt do it in such an outer area.

Seeing that Ye Fei, who had looked nervous all along, finally relaxed, Li Yun, sitting beside him, said with a smile, ”Ye Fei, are you a bit nervous because itʼs your first time participating in such an operation?”

”Maybe.” Ye Fei shook his head with a smile. ”I always felt something was wrong, but it seems that I was too nervous.”

Li Yun said with a smile, ”Itʼs okay. Youʼll get used to it after a few more experiences. Those terrorists canʼt attack us here, so you donʼt need to be too nervous. By the way, since thereʼs nothing to do right now, letʼs talk about your school.”

”Why do you suddenly want to talk about this, Uncle Li?” Ye Fei asked with a smile.

Li Yun smiled rather helplessly and said, ”My daughter is also in high school. But whenever I talk to her about her school, she gets impatient. So I wanted to know what kids your age are thinking.”

When he talked about his daughter, Li Yun looked happy, obviously doting on her very much.

Ye Fei had known Li Yun before and knew that his wife had passed away many years ago and he had never remarried, but he had never known he had a daughter.

So he said with a smile, ”Uncle Li, you are so handsome, so your daughter must be very beautiful too.”

”Of course!” Li Yun wasnʼt modest at all and said with a smile, ”My daughter looks very much like my wife, so she is naturally very beautiful.”

Ye Fei said with a smile, ”Then I must meet her if I have the chance.”

Li Yun deliberately pulled a long face and said, ”You can meet her, but you canʼt have any ideas about her. I know you already have a little fiancée named Lin Ling.”

Ye Fei chuckled and said, ”Well, itʼs not certain. If she is as beautiful as you said, maybe I really will have some ideas. Then I wonʼt call you Uncle Li anymore, but Father-in-law instead!”

Li Yun knew Ye Fei was just joking, so he couldnʼt help but laugh. He patted Ye Fei on the head and said, ”You brat. If I become your father-in-law, Iʼll make you work at my house every day.”

Ye Fei laughed heartily.

At this moment, a soldier on sentry duty on the periphery suddenly shouted, ”Enemy attack!”

Then there was a burst of gunshots, and the soldier fell silent.

Dozens of special forces members who were in a relaxed state were immediately awakened by this sudden change. They were indeed battle-hardened soldiers. Subconsciously, they found cover and tried to hide their bodies behind it, and Li Yun beside Ye Fei was no exception.

But Ye Fei was a bit different. Although his reaction speed was more than ten times faster than these special forces members at the moment, he had never experienced such a battle scene before, so he froze there for a moment and stood up to look in the direction of the gunshots.

After hiding his body, Li Yun saw Ye Fei still standing there stupidly and was greatly shocked.

Then when the gunshots rang out again, he didnʼt have time to think much and jumped out from behind the cover, throwing Ye Fei to the ground with force and at the same time letting out a muffled groan.

It was only after being thrown down by Li Yun that Ye Fei came to his senses, but he didnʼt take it too seriously.

Even if this round of bullets hit him, it couldnʼt cause him any damage, so he said with a smile, ”Uncle Li, Iʼm fine. Get up quickly.”

But Li Yun still lay on top of Ye Fei without moving. Just as Ye Fei was about to push Li Yun away, he suddenly felt something was wrong, and something seemed to be flowing down from Li Yunʼs body, making his clothes in front of his chest wet.

Ye Fei was startled. He hurriedly and carefully moved Li Yun away from himself and looked at him carefully.

When he saw this, he couldnʼt help but exclaim in shock. He saw that the clothes on Li Yunʼs chest and back were already soaked in blood, and there was a circular wound on his neck, with a large amount of blood still gushing out continuously.

”Uncle Li, how are you?” Ye Fei hurriedly covered Li Yunʼs wound with his hand to prevent more blood from flowing out, looking extremely anxious.

The captain, who was hiding not far from them, saw that something seemed to have happened here and quickly crawled over and asked, ”Whatʼs going on?”

Ye Fei was half-holding Li Yun with one hand covering his wound and said anxiously, ”Uncle Li has been shot!”Without Ye Fei saying anything, the captain understood everything just from Li Yunʼs blood all over. He quickly took Li Yun from Ye Feiʼs hands. After taking a look, he couldnʼt help but be extremely shocked and shouted, ”Everyone, fight back with all your strength. Xiao Wei, come and cover me. Captain Li is in life-threatening danger!”

Every special forces member had some emergency treatment skills, and the captain was no exception.

Right now, he wanted to give Li Yun a simple bandage first and then send him to a regular hospital as soon as possible.

As for calling Wei Qing, it was because her marksmanship was excellent and she could suppress the enemyʼs firepower temporarily, allowing him to focus on treating Li Yun.

At this time, the situation of the group was very unfavorable.

The enemies were all hiding behind big trees. Although their guns had good firepower, they couldnʼt penetrate those thick trees that needed several people to encircle.

And the place where they were was an open space in the forest with very few places to hide. A

At this moment, they were being suppressed so much that they could hardly lift their heads.

Upon hearing the captainʼs order, all the team members immediately raised their guns and fired a burst of shots at the outside, causing the enemyʼs firepower to weaken temporarily. Wei Qing also took the opportunity to run over.

Because she had a bit of a feud with Ye Fei, Wei Qing had noticed what happened on his side earlier. She knew that Li Yun was in this situation because of Ye Fei.

Although she didnʼt say anything when she came over, she gave Ye Fei a look full of extreme disdain and disgust.

At this time, Ye Fei didnʼt notice Wei Qingʼs look at all. Looking at Li Yun who was on the verge of death, he felt both regretful and self-blaming.

If only he had reacted earlier. If he had told Li Yun about all his strength when they were in Wang Hai City, he believed that Li Yun wouldnʼt have been injured while trying to save him.

Now, facing his fading life, he was completely helpless.

Looking up, Ye Fei looked in the direction where the gunshots came from, and his eyes turned icy.

It was all because of these bastards that Uncle Li ended up like this.

None of you will escape today!

Having made up his mind, Ye Fei suddenly jumped up and dashed towards the enemyʼs direction like lightning.
