Triple X System

The Shadow Wrath’s darkness pulsed against the door, the wood groaning under the pressure. Elara’s eyes scanned the cottage, her mind racing. ”We need to weaken it. I have some potions...”

She hurried to a shelf, grabbing a few vials filled with glowing liquids. ”This is Moonpetal essence – it disrupts dark energies. And this is Starlight dust – it can blind shadow creatures.”

Lucias’s eyes lit up. ”Let’s use ’em.”

Elara handed out the vials, her expression grim. ”Be careful. We don’t have much time.”

Kyle’s mind was racing. ”We need to get outside. Can we use the potions to create an opening?”

Elara nodded. ”If we can get it to inhale the Moonpetal essence, it might weaken its hold on the physical realm.”

Layla’s telekinesis sent a small window open, the Shadow Wrath’s darkness seeping in like a living thing. ”We need to be quick!”

The group nodded, their plan forming. Lucias would throw the Starlight dust, blinding the Shadow Wrath. Kyle would follow with the Moonpetal essence, hoping to weaken it.

The Shadow Wrath’s darkness surged, the door creaking under the pressure.

Elara’s voice was a whisper. ”Now!”

Lucias fl threw the Starlight dust, the Shadow Wrath’s darkness recoiling in pain. Kyle followed with the Moonpetal essence, the vial shattering on the Shadow Wrath’s ’body’.

The Shadow Wrath’s energy pulsed, its darkness faltering. The group charged, their movements fluid, their eyes locked on the Shadow Wrath.

But the Shadow Wrath was far from defeated.

The Shadow Wrath’s energy pulsed, its darkness swirling like a living thing. The group’s eyes locked, their movements fluid as they charged.

Kyle’s shadow energy surged, his mind racing with Snow’s guidance. ”Kyle, use Shadow Craft – generate shadow daggers. Aim for its core.”

Kyle’s hands wove patterns, shadow daggers materializing in the air. They hurtled towards the Shadow Wrath, but its darkness absorbed them, growing stronger.

Snow’s voice was a whisper in his mind. ”Overdrive, Kyle. Shadow Walk. Create decoys.”

Kyle’s energy surged, his shadow self splitting into multiple decoys. The Shadow Wrath’s darkness lashed out, striking the decoys, but Kyle’s real form dodged and weaved, his shadow energy burning hot.

He generated more shadow daggers, aiming for the Shadow Wrath’s core. The creature’s darkness absorbed them, but Kyle’s Shadow Walk allowed him to anticipate its moves, blocking attacks aimed at his friends.

Layla’s telekinesis sent rocks flying, but the Shadow Wrath’s shadows deflected them. Elara’s magic surged, her spells weaving a protective barrier around the group.

Lucias’s fists flew, his movements precise, but the Shadow Wrath’s shadows wrapped around him, squeezing tight. Kyle’s shadow energy surged, dispelling the shadows, freeing Lucias.

Snow’s voice was urgent. ”Kyle, burn the demon energy. You can break its hold.”

Kyle’s eyes locked on the Shadow Wrath, his energy burning hot. He generated a shadow blade, imbuing it with his demon energy. The blade sliced through the Shadow Wrath’s darkness, striking its core.

The Shadow Wrath’s energy pulsed, its darkness faltering. The group’s eyes met, their movements fluid as they pressed their advantage.

But the Shadow Wrath was far from defeated, its shadows regenerating, adapting to their attacks...

Kyle’s mind was a blur, Snow’s guidance pushing him to his limits. ”Shadow Walk, Kyle. Get inside its defenses.”

Kyle’s shadow self surged forward, his real form following. He was inside the Shadow Wrath’s darkness, his shadow energy burning hot.

Kyle’s shadow self surged forward, his real form following, the Shadow Wrath’s darkness closing in around him like a shroud. Snow’s voice was a whisper in his mind, guiding him through the labyrinthine shadows.

”Inside its heart, Kyle. Find the core.”

Kyle’s eyes adjusted to the darkness, his shadow energy illuminating twisted, nightmarish visions. He saw the Shadow Wrath’s creation, its purpose, its pain. The creature’s darkness was a prison, its true form trapped, twisted by the Archon’s will.

The Shadow Wrath’s voice was a scream in his mind, trying to shatter his focus. ”YOU WILL SUCCUMB TO THE SHADOW!”

Kyle’s shadow energy surged, his mind clear. He saw the core, a tiny, flickering light, the Shadow Wrath’s true essence.

Snow’s voice was urgent. ”Extinguish the light, Kyle. Free the creature.”

Kyle’s shadow energy coalesced, his hand wrapping around the core. The Shadow Wrath’s darkness surged, trying to stop him.

Layla’s voice echoed from outside, her words a lifeline. ”Kyle, we’re with you!”

The group’s energy surged, their bond strengthening Kyle’s resolve. He squeezed the core, the light flickering, the Shadow Wrath’s darkness faltering...

The creature’s form began to dissipate, its shadows unraveling. Kyle’s eyes locked on the core, his energy merging with it.

The light exploded, a wave of energy surging through the Shadow Wrath, shattering its bonds. The creature’s true form emerged, a being of light, its eyes filled with a deep, ancient sadness.

The group’s eyes met, their faces etched with wonder. The being of light spoke, its voice a whisper in their minds. ”I was... trapped. The Archon’s will...”

Elara’s eyes narrowed, her expression grim. ”You’re free now. But the Archon...”

The being of light nodded, its energy pulsing. ”I will help you. The Archon’s power... it must be stopped.”

The group’s eyes locked, a silent vow passing between them. They would stop the Archon, no matter the cost.

”No~” Kyle suddenly blurted out with a stern expression.

”What do you mean, no?” Elara asked for clarity, tilting her head in Kyle’s direction.

”I’m done with this, pushing myself into other’s business. Succumbing to your deceitful charms, like the cunning witch you are.” He shot back, making Elara lean back a bit, dumbfounded at Kyle’s sudden shift in behavior.

’Did the negative energy absorb his reasoning?’ She thought, but shrugged it off, noting Kyle was a powerful individual with a decent control over dark energy.

”Excuse me? But you’re the one who showed up on my planet, on the brink of death may I add.” She quoted with her fingers, her face a mix of sarcasm and anger.

”I then took you in, help you and your friends and this is what I get!? Scoffs! Men~” She scoffed, crossing her arms to her chest, averting her gaze away from Kyle.

The being of light nodded, its energy pulsing with an otherworldly calm. ”I understand, Kyle. Your quest is personal. The reconstruction of Lumia kingdom, finding Yua...”

Kyle’s expression was firm, his eyes locked on the being. ”Yeah. That’s what I’m here for. I don’t owe this Archon or anyone else anything. I got my own priorities.”

The being of light tilted its head, a hint of curiosity in its voice. ”And Elara? She has helped you, yes?”

Kyle’s gaze flickered, his jaw clenched. ”Elara’s cool. She’s helped us, and like I said, the demon’s you know... But that’s it. I don’t know you, and I don’t owe you or the Archon anything.”

Layla’s eyes narrowed, her voice soft but firm. ”Kyle, we can’t just-”

Kyle cut her off, his voice firm. ”We can’t afford to get sidetracked, Layla. Lucias, we need to get out of here. Find a way to get the items for Lumia and get Yua.”

Lucias nodded, his expression understanding. Elara’s eyes locked on Kyle, a hint of disappointment, but she said nothing.

The being of light nodded, its energy pulsing softly. ”I will not ask again. But know this, Kyle: the Archon’s power grows. It will threaten Lumia, threaten Yua. The path you walk... it intersects with the Archon’s will, whether you choose it or not.”

Kyle’s expression was unyielding. ”I’ll take that chance.”

The group’s eyes met, a silent understanding passing between them. They would stick to their priorities, for now.

Elara’s voice was soft. ”I’ll guide you to the items you need. But Kyle... be careful. The Archon’s reach is long.”

Kyle nodded, his eyes locked on the being of light. ”Thanks for the warning. We’ll handle it.”

The being of light nodded, its energy dissipating, leaving the group to their priorities.

Elara led the group through Kraken’s dark, jagged landscape, the two red suns dipping low on the horizon. The air was thick with an eerie, unsettling energy.

Lucias’s voice was low, his words barely audible. ”Kyle, you okay with what went down back there?”

Kyle’s expression was neutral, his eyes scanning the surroundings. ”I’m good. Priorities, Lucias.”

Layla’s gaze flickered to the being of light, now walking silently beside Elara. ”Do we trust it?”

Elara’s voice was soft. ”The being is free now. It has no allegiance to the Archon. And it owes us a debt.”

Kyle’s eyes narrowed. ”A debt’s not a guarantee.”

The group fell into a tense silence, their senses on high alert as they navigated the treacherous terrain. Elara stopped before a dark, jagged outcropping, her eyes locked on a symbol etched into the rock.

”This is it. The entrance to the Vault of Shadows. The items you need... they’re inside.”

Lucias’s eyes narrowed. ”What’s the catch?”

Elara’s expression was grim. ”The Vault is guarded. And the items... they’re not just items. They’re pieces of a shattered mirror. Powerful, and coveted.”

Kyle’s shadow energy surged, his eyes locked on the entrance. ”Sounds like we got a job to do.”

The group’s eyes met, a silent understanding passing between them. They would get the items, and get out...

The being of light spoke, its voice a whisper in their minds. ”I will wait here. May shadows guide you.”

The group nodded, their movements fluid as they stepped into the Vault’s darkness.
