Three Towers Game

Compared to the ”Glutton,” Wen Xishu was like a tiny insect.

Using the Hanged Man’s ability, the rope around Wen Xishu’s waist quickly fastened near the refrigerator. He looked somewhat like a survey corps member, and even the Glutton resembled a giant.

With the rope’s pull, Wen Xishu could swiftly leap over countless greasy foods and giant dining tables.

But as he passed the table, Wen Xishu’s figure suddenly halted.

From a distance, he saw the food was composed of the debris of toys and exam papers, and his vision was sharp enough to see the red x’s on the papers.

However, being so far away, many details were not visible.

At this moment, upon approaching the table, Wen Xishu saw the question with the red x on the paper.

Instinct told him this might be a clue.

The question was, ”Your best friend is ().”

It seemed that here, a name was needed, the name of someone in the class. In theory, everyone has friends during their school days.

But it’s also possible...

In the life of some lonely children, even in school days, there were no friends, just people they ”didn’t dislike” and those who ”bullied them.”

Charlie’s answer was not blank; it was a word that wasn’t a name at all — Huohua.

Wen Xishu silently noted the word Huohua.

”The best friend... why is it Huohua? What exactly is Huohua?”

”I can’t find this answer yet, but maybe in that clock tower, I can find clues.”

Secrets are best buried in a clock tower.

Because of the Hanged Man’s blockade, Wen Xishu couldn’t enter the clock tower, but now, if he revisits that level, using his own sequences and runes, he is confident he will be quicker than the Hanged Men.

There was no time to linger, as the Glutton had finished eating, and at this point, it was clear...

A massive energy fluctuation was emanating from the abyss-like gap in the fridge door.

New food was about to appear soon.

Wen Xishu made a quick decision, and the rope pull immediately sent him flying towards the fridge.

His speed was fast, and luckily, the massive Glutton was crying, ”I’m not full!” ”Mom, I’m not full!”

Its expression was furious, but fortunately, Wen Xishu had already left the dining table.

Otherwise, he would have faced the monster Glutton, whose sheer strength rivaled the Red House.

But when one wave settled, another arose; once close to the fridge and pressed against its enormous door...

Wen Xishu suddenly discovered a strong suction force trying to pull him into the fridge door.

The enormous, cold, dark interior of the fridge.

Undoubtedly, entering it would mean certain death, possibly becoming rotten food like dust? Without even a chance of resurrection?

Wen Xishu fastened the rope to a corner far from the fridge, and simultaneously, he activated the sequences, summoning the Shadow once again.

The Shadow appeared, but clearly, it was very displeased with the environment.

It gave Wen Xishu a rude gesture... then was sucked into the fridge gap.

But at the instant of entering the fridge, the new rope from Wen Xishu’s waist reached for the Shadow, and the Shadow immediately grabbed the lifeline.

Logically, the Shadow should have acted the same as Wen Xishu, but it seemed the Shadow had its own plan.

The suction from the fridge’s interior was too strong, like a vortex devouring everything nearby.

Wen Xishu could feel that despite his full effort, he was still being slowly dragged towards the fridge’s interior by the suction.

The Shadow, holding the rope, made a gesture.

After all, it was his own Shadow, and Wen Xishu immediately understood it meant to transform the rope, so Wen Xishu extended the rope.

At that moment, the Shadow tied the rope around its waist, then made two more gestures, one for ”ok” and the other giving a thumbs-up.

If it were an outsider, they wouldn’t understand at all.

But Wen Xishu, after all, came from the Evil Land, and so did his Shadow. At that moment, Wen Xishu understood.

It was the Terminator’s gesture.

When the lava engulfed the Terminator, the last gesture it made was this, meaning: ”I did it!”

Whether the Shadow was dead or not yet dead, it was doomed to die, like a lonely hero. It was sucked into the fridge.

Its life was about to turn to dust, entering the final countdown.

At that moment, Wen Xishu suddenly felt, Ying, I’m sorry.

Though the Shadow was sucked in, the rope stuck on the fridge door was, due to the Shadow’s actions inside and the fridge’s suction, forcefully dragged the door shut!

Wen Xishu’s feet firmly stomped on the ground, preventing himself from leaving the ground, while his body slowly approached the fridge, and the fridge door, due to the suction, was closing bit by bit!

Ultimately, under the Shadow’s efforts, the rope completely closed the fridge door.

A loud bang resounded.

The rotten food that should have appeared around was no longer there.

And Wen Xishu completely lost the ability to sense the Shadow.

”Truly... a fearless and brave partner. Luckily, it wasn’t a real person, or I’d feel guilty for life.”

Yes, it’s fortunate the Shadow can still be summoned.

Wen Xishu prayed that the next time he summoned it, the environment wouldn’t be so hostile.

The fridge closed, the endless food disappeared, and the ”Mom” voice vanished as well.
